The apartment was very clean and well organised with great facilities and equipment. We felt secure in the property and had almost everything we needed for our stay.

The bed was not as comfortable as we would have liked. The heating was not as controllable as we would have liked.

Was lovely apartment, had everything we could ask for, and had a lovely wee welcome bag much appreciated . There is plenty of space, and it is very comfortable. Have already recommended to my friends.

Location was difficult to find at first, but we soon found our bearings. Few fittings needed repaired lights coming our ceiling etc. Also more attention to cleaning needed breadbin full of crumbs etc As first, the door lock system was confusing but soon figured it out. I had requested an early check in and was told I would receive a text when ready this never happened so was slightly disappointed in that fact as we arrived right at 4pm and no sign of anyone so assume it was actually ready early and I just wasn't contacted.

The location was fine, a good walk from the station but only ten minutes to the nearest supermarket and main shopping area of York. The property was on the ground floor overlooking the canal, which was pleasant. The apartment was well equipped and the shower room was particularly good.

The hot water got very hot, and a warning might have been a good idea. There was a recycling point but no information in the property about what to recycle and with what (it differs in every area so this would have been useful). I had no control over the temperature which given the very poor weather was a disadvantage. The apartment was generally very clean, but the kitchen floor was sticky in front of the cooker.

Not a lot. Location was reasonable.

Apartment too small. Bed was small and uncomfortable. Sofa was uncomfortable and stained. Kitchen was tiny. Instructions for everything designed to make it easy to maintain for owners but not so easy for guests. Parking space was a mystery and no one could find the bins but guests had to empty these. Shower was too hot but couldnt adjust it.

The mattress on the bed was not comfortable and could feel the springs, pillows were flat. No air conditioning in the room it was very warm and had to keep the air fan on at night and windows open when staying inside. We found there was only a single wine glass in the cupboard, and there was a bloody stained chopping board underneath the sink. The microwave oven needed a really good clean so we didn’t use this. The shower head really needs replacing as it had black mould and lime scale, which I had to give a clean before showering. Some tissues and shampoos/body washes would have been more welcoming. When we were checking out we followed the instructions to empty the bin and take any recycling out to the refuse area at the back, however the gates were locked and the code to for the side gate did not work from the instructions given.

The location was good and close to the centre of York.

The windows were really dirty with paint peeling off the frames, the entrance area carpet and cutlery were also dirty. There was also a walkway outside the window (which was a standard wooden window/no double glazing) so the noise of people walking past/talking was sometimes intrusive - especially late at night or in the early hours of the morning whilst trying to sleep. The flat was also stuffy/too warm unless the windows were open but this is a potential security risk when leaving the property empty due to the size/position of the windows relative to the walkway.

Felt homely, brilliant size apartment, welcome pack was a nice touch.

For the price I would expect onsite parking which isn't unreasonable.

This apartment is stunning, extremely well equipped for cooking etc and in an amazing location for York City Centre. It's also overlooking the canal which is lovely and was very private. We were left a little welcome package with local biscuits, crisps, chocolate, tea etc and local recommendations which was a really lovely touch.

We struggled to find the apartment when we arrived as the location is a little hidden and not quite right on google maps. The geese were SO LOUD. We stayed for 10 days and every morning from between 4.30am and 7am we were woken up by the geese on the canal right outside the window. It's actually hard to describe how insanely noisy they were, it was impossible to sleep through. Also there are no blinds in the bedroom and the curtains were very transparent so the room is very bright from very early.

beautiful property in an ideal location. had some issues with the hot water and it was sorted really quickly.

there’s geese outside and they’re quite noisy in the early hours, we had the windows open so got woken up due to this, but with the windows closed it was fine and we were unable to hear them.

the location was great only a 7 minute walk to Shambles Market and the rest of the city centre. it was very clean and great shower and bathroom.

my only issue was the bed wasn’t very comfy but I am a big lad. but it wouldn’t stop me staying again.

The apartment was very comfortable and cosy and the window, the views and layout was very good. There were a couple of snags however I WOULD definitely stay again as overall the apartment was very very cosy, clean, new, relaxing and comfortable and I enjoyed my stay immensely. I am already wanting to plan my second visit.

The fold out bed left a substantial gap between the mattress and the wall which made for my pillows slipping down the gap every night, which resulted in broken sleep trying to retrieve them. However this is due to bad design rather than any fault and wouldn’t have been bothersome had I not been staying for a long duration.

I wish there had been a vacuum cleaner available for hoovering during the stay (I stayed for 2 weeks).

Inside spotlessly clean & comfortable. Good location for exploring York. Good facilities for cooking if needed. Good communication from Stays York.

Occasional drain smell in & around bathroom - probably due to location rather than anything in the property. Wobbly glass table top. Outside windows not clean.

it would have helped if there was a microwave for reheating food.

The room was very clean, well designed, modern and spacious. Got a phone call the day before travel to make sure everything would go smoothly when we arrived. There was lots of information sent by email about how everything worked and what to do in York.

Although the email instructions were very clear, getting hold of the key from the keysafe was quite fiddly. The bed wasn't bad but it could have been better.

Bedroom could use a blackout blind but the early morning alarm ducks will wake you up anyway 😁 Sat nav directions were a faff. Need to enter from Foss Islands Road due to one way section.

few faults that should have been checked properly before arrival - heating and hot water didn’t work for the first night staff were helpful with sorting this the next day, shame we were only there for 2 nights it would have been good to enjoy the apartment fully had to spend most of my time checking my phone to see if i had been contacted
