The location was excellent. Access to parking in town was superb and made our visits to town stress free.
The *only* thing I might suggest would be to provide more fans to cool the house in the evenings (we were there in a heat wave) and maybe dust off the ones that are there.

Beautiful house and great location to Acadia National Park and downtown!! We will definitely stay here again when we return to this area!! Robert was very nice and answered all questions I had very quickly and was a great host!

My family traveled from Texas to Maine to experience Bar Harbor. This was the perfect property for a family as it was cozy and had plenty of space for all. The views from the property were truly beautiful as stated in the description. Very easy access to downtown and everything Bar Harbor has to offer. Bob, the owner of the property, had excellent communication throughout and helped with all needs. Highly recommend and would definitely book again!

Comfortable, fully stocked house with amazing views of Acadia. Accommodated three couples easily with lots of room to hang out and enjoy the scenery. Close to town and the park which made for easy access to shopping, eating, and hiking. Only suggestion would be to add a couple extra hairdryers (only one in the house). Overall a wonderful vacation!

We were in Bar Harbor for two nights, and really enjoyed our stay in this home. It was an easy walk into town. We were greeted by a flock of turkeys one morning. The views from both the upper and lower deck were spectacular and leaves were starting to change.
The accommodations were clean, very spacious, and had all the kitchen appliances and towels we needed for our stay.

My group of friends struggled to find a home for 7 people, as guests for a wedding in Bar Harbor. When this home opened up, I snagged it... you should do the same!! The pics don't do it justice! The home was huge, spotless/clean, gorgeous views, and perfect location! Seriously the location was perfect. A very quick drive to the center of town (could probably walk if needed), and there are plenty of trails for hiking around or also a quick drive.
Bob was a great host. The check-in process was flexible and easy. He came over on our first day to make sure we were ok (he lives right next door to the property). He also suggested activities and hiking trails for us based on our interests and needs. Also, we traveled during a hurricane! Bob made sure the house was all set/safe.
Acadia is beautiful, and this home made our experience that much better. This was my first time, and I will return and stay at this home again :)

Essentially in Bar Harbor
Well designed house
If you do not like stairs note it is designed like a beach house with the common area on third floor and bedrooms on second
Really liked the owner!

Loved our stay here - fantastic views of Acadia National Park, easy access to town, the golf course and the park.
Spacious for small kids and a well equipped kitchen

Spacious property, very clean and comfortable. Great deck. Fantastic views.

Great place, awesome location. Only downfall would be the outdated spring mattresses.
2.0
The house does have lovely views. However, the experience was handled so unprofessionally by the host that this was a definite 1-star experience.
The most jarring of Bob’s behaviors came when he approached our friend who was standing in the driveway of the house chatting with us and yelled loudly in his face, at full volume with a red face while pointing his finger in our faces. He yelled in front of our three young children (9 months to 6 years old) who were also in the driveway. It was a shocking display of loss of control. We had already discussed the issue by phone and had done everything he had asked of us.
A short list of concerns/negatives includes:
1) Many summers, there is concern that the well could run dry. This was conveyed both via conversation with him, as well as many signs requesting things like not filling the bath tub. We understand wells, and it would be a bad experience if it ran empty right in the middle of our vacation.
2) The decks and outdoor stairs have many exposed upturned nails and staples and rough spots. Use caution, especially on stairs. We gave our children a rule that they could not go on the deck without shoes after the second foot injury.
We reserved this house months in advance. We knew our immediate family (2 adults, 2 children, 1 infant) would definitely be there and listed them on the registration. Our plans changed in the months between booking and arrival. At check-in, we explained that mid-week, grandma planned to leave and another couple planned to join us. Bob said he would “make an exception” about this.
On one evening, we had company come up to our house. We fully acknowledge that we were “over the limit” briefly, but we did so with care, treating the house and water use responsibly, and in the spirit of VRBO.
Bob called my husband the next day and said that he felt “betrayed” by what had happened. My husband apologized. Bob asked us to do an extra load of laundry before leaving, which we said we would (and we did). We expected that to be the end of the concern as we had discussed it and agreed to a way that we could make it right by doing the extra cleaning ourselves.
At 10:00, we were out of the house, having cleaned up, done three loads of laundry, started the dishwasher running, packed up our things, and prepped the kids for a long car ride. Suddenly, without warning, Bob came up to our friend and yelled loudly in his face and a pointed finger.

Great house plenty of room for our family of 4. Could easily sleep another 4. Hosts were great greeted us with a map and advice to navigate the park. House is in a great location to the park and Bar Harbor restaurants and shops. Awesome deck views of cadillac mtn. Only downside is the mattresses need to be replaced not comfortable. Overall a great stay.

Fantastic location, beautiful house very close to downtown & Acadia Park. Perfect location.

Beautiful home with amazing mountain views. So close to town for an easy trip in but far enough to feel like a true escape from everything. The decks were perfect for relaxing and enjoying the fresh air. This house has everything you need for a perfect getaway. We only wish we could have stayed there longer.

We loved our stay at KEBO and will likely come back next year as well. The house is beautiful. Bob was very gracious and was so easy to get in touch with for any questions. It is a one mile walk into town which we did daily. Views were great. Beds were comfy. Kitchen was well equipped. As someone mentioned - there are stairs as the house is on three levels. That didn’t bother us at all as we are all exercisers. The house is quite private but yet so close to everything. Don’t hesitate to book this property!

Everything was perfect at this location. Bob (owner) made himself available for questions, and was very congenial. Bar Harbor did not disappoint, as did the peak leaf changing vistas from the decks of the house. Location is just a "hop/skip" from the local downtown area. One suggestion, I would like a larger pot to boil lobsters in, but that's just me. A three pound lobster is challenging to fit into a small pot! Overall, very enjoyable.

Overall we give the property 4+ stars with just a few caveats. I offer these not because our stay was spoiled at all by them, but because they might be helpful to future renters. I'll begin with two suggestions for the owners: a toilet paper holder is needed in the master bath as well as a door stop for every door on the middle floor. The constant breeze/wind is great for air flow but not so great when doors start banging shut. Location? Very private with nice views and easy access to town and the park. Due to the nearby transfer station, the backup sound from trucks can be heard--not overwhelming, but definitely noticeable. Private bathrooms? Only 2 of the bathrooms are on the same floor as the bedrooms. The 3rd bathroom is off the living room on the main floor. Kitchen? Equipped with the basics for cooking, but there are several items of convenience that you might miss. So if there's a chef in your party, pack the stuff you must have. Yard? No space to play games like badminton or volleyball. Maybe some frisbee in the driveway area. But there is a large park < 1 minute drive toward town. Kid friendly? Just two concerns here. There are a lot of stairs, both inside and out in the yard. Also, some of the deck railing is a bit loose, so maybe not toddler-friendly. BBQ grill? A small, portable Weber propane. If you have a large group you may need to plan accordingly to get everything cooked. Internet? Satellite & spotty, with downloads of 5 -6 mbps and uploads of a <1mbps. We did use a Fire TV Stick with 85% success. It cut out here and there or the picture suffered, which may have been the WiFi as much as the satellite. The router is located in the garage, so the signal is not great all over.

Rooms large and spacious, great kitchen for an avid cook, large master bath, several fans used to keep our family cool. Due to large windows, main living area and master bedroom heat up quickly. Keep curtains closed during the height of the day and request additional fans if necessary. We booked this house for the water view and had trouble finding it! It is through a window not in the main living area and at a far distance. Very disappointed with view. Deck facing mountains..no water view. We would stay again.

The house was perfect, tucked away on a quiet private road. The view was amazing and Bob was super attentive. I would definitely recommend this one!

The house is spacious and very comfortable and the views are amazing! Bob lives nearby and is very helpful. The house is a short distance from Bar Harbor (maybe 10 minutes or less to the downtown area) but the house is extremely private. We had deer on the property every evening which was just so sweet and peaceful. I have to tell you the house is LARGE, I couldn't find my husband more than once (thank goodness for cell phones)! We had a great time and hope to come back soon!

Great location, just minutes from downtown Bar Harbor and very close to multiple entrances to Acadia. The house is three floors with the main living area on the top floor. This provide lovely views but be prepared for the steps. If you have mobility issues this house isn't for you, but otherwise it's great. The second floor consists of a large master suite with a spacious bathroom. The other two bedrooms are good sized and share small bath. The house was very clean and the landlord lives near by and has a wealth of information about the area and parking. He was a big help.

This property had stunning overlooking Kebo Valley Golf course. The master suite was huge and the bedrooms were well appointed. This house had plenty of space with a lovely kitchen and dining area ..with decks with sweeping views all the way around this one of a kind home. As an added bonus Bob the owner brought us a delicious Maine blueberry pie! Thanks Bob we will be back! Nadine and Ron Perlman :)

This is an absolutely beautiful home in the perfect location. Two minute drive to town, Bar Harbor, and a 5 minute drive to park entrance ! Tons of room, bright and cheerful, beautiful panoramic views, comfortable beds, kitchen with anything you would need to have meals at 'home'. You will not be disappointed with this home. We will come back !! The Maffs

Our week’s stay at Kebo View I was terrific from start to finish. The welcoming blueberry pie was indicative of Bob and Marcia’s desire to please their renters. There was ample room for the six of us, including 4 adults and two teenagers. Our first night’s viewing of the night sky from the deck was spectacular with the Milky Way clearly visible. The teenage boys, growing up in Jakarta, Indonesia, had never witnessed such a clear sky. During our stay, Bob was helpful in telling us about the festive Fourth of July activities, including a Sea Food Festival sponsored by the Rotary Club, of which he was an active planner and participant. His recommendations made for a memorable day of feasting, a parade filled with Americana, and evening fireworks over Frenchman’s Bay in Bar Harbor. Never obtrusive but available when needed, Bob respected our privacy but also was quick to respond to any requests we had. He immediately purchased muffin tins when we indicated we wanted to make some Maine blueberry muffins. All in all, the location convenient to the bustling activities in Bar Harbor and the other 15 members of our family staying in the area yet distant enough to provide a restful retreat made for a perfect stay. Thank you Bob and Marcia!!

The home was awesome and the views were breathtaking. Bob provided spot on advice on what to do and where to go. The house is within walking distance to many activities and the main business district that includes shops, restaurants, art galleries, and tour operators. The best part of the trip is easy access to Acadia National Park, the hiking trails, and the carriage roads. I would recommend this home for anyone that wants to get away, there is plenty of space for a family, and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The property and it's lovely view was just as described. Bob was a wonderful host and was able to guide us as to activities that would fit into our itinerary. I would strongly recommend staying at this lovely home.

Me and my family stayed here last weekend and loved the place! First of all waking up to views of Bar Harbor, Cadillac mountain, the near-by golf course and fall foliage was fantastic. The layout is very unique with bedrooms on the lower floor and the kitchen and living space up on the top floor. It makes for a great perch to view the surrounding countryside from though. Kitchen was spacious for cooking and the beds were very comfortable. The owner was very nice to us upon arrival and suggested several good places to check out in town during our brief stay. We had a great time and would rent again next time we come back to Bar Harbor.
