** La maison est en cours de rénovation / rénovation hiver 2019 - le couchage ira à 22 avec une chambre avec 2 lits doubles superposés, la chambre en mezzanine aura un lit king-size avec deux lits jumeaux intégrés sous forme de lits superposés et supprimera la lit superposé dans la chambre à l'étage et remplacer par un lit queen. Les chambres que nous avons maintenant seront 3 king, 2 queen, un double lits superposés queen (4 queen), chambre mezzanine avec lit king et lits superposés. Le salon est en train d'être ouvert et tous les revêtements de sol en tapis sont remplacés. Le papier peint descend dans les salles de bain et une nouvelle peinture. Le décor de la chambre est en train d'être amélioré. **

The multiple wasp nests were a hazard leading to some nasty stings on one of our family. Various small items and some facilities, needed repair or replacement. For example the boogie boards were cracked and unusable, an awning for the pool was completely broken, multiple lawn/patio chairs are broken, a couch had a hole in its backing, the foosball table has no foosball, several floor tiles are badly cracked, and the front steps/deck are overdue for sanding and repainting. There are other items which the other guests would comment about, but I'm not going to solicit those comments.
The management company clearly states that they can't/won't address anything other than emergency items on a weekend, which is of course when almost everyone arrives. They were prompt and their folks were helpful during the week, BUT when its a vacation for over $1000 a day I personally think this is unacceptable.
I wonder if other guests have used this property and simply accepted it "as-is", but like I said, "at over $1000 a day I personally think this is unacceptable." Also some of the items are obviously long-standing, which leads one to surmise that the owners are interesting in making money with little regard to the reputation of the property.
There are nicer, better maintained properties in P'cola Beach and we'll look for those next year.

Loved this house! Our family consisted of our 83 year old parents, our kids and grandkids (7months-7 yrs old), and my husband and me. The setup is perfect so that late night games can be played downstairs while people sleep upstairs without being disturbed by the noise. The location is perfect. The beach is amazing! The only suggestion I have is that a small amount of basic cooking seasonings, a large skillet, and extra blankets be available. We were surprised that there were absolutely no seasonings in the cabinets.
The property management team was phenomenal…quick to respond to questions, and actually sent housekeeping by to bring extra blankets for my parents.

Great for large gatherings but strict about numbers due to spring break timing - be sure to clear any planned gatherings/ parties with management. WiFi did not work well.
Great games and space downstairs for teenagers/ and or families. Comfy beds and good a/c! Well stocked kitchen. Super easy walk across street to beach, and tons of chairs, umbrellas, toys, etc in basement.

My family and extended family spent a wonderful week here reconnecting with one another and enjoying the quick and easy walk to the beach. The house is angled in the most perfect way so that the wide front porch never has the heat of the direct sun. We enjoyed many mornings there drinking coffee and listening to the waves hit the beach. Many of us had fun in the bonus game room and especially loved how we could be playing pool or ping-pong without disturbing anyone sleeping upstairs. While the house is not the most updated on the beach, that was less important to us than the time we had together and this place was perfect for that.

We stayed a week with extended family, including small kids. Overall the property is nice but not wonderful. The well-worn house makes up for the fantastic location to the beach (just a walk across the street). The property management was very quick to respond to issues.

- game room is an added bonus (kind of -the pop a shot didnt work, balls were flat, no foose balls)
Cons:
- we killed a few cockroaches upon arrival
- we had to call maintenance a couple separate times for light bulbs, toilet issues, etc. I’m not sure how often those are checked?
- in the cooler months (Dec) it’s difficult for the pool to stay warm enough to swim even though we paid to heat it
- the house is more worn in than pictures show, still nice but not as grand as it’s made to look

We stayed here with a large family group to celebrate our parent’s 50th anniversary. We really enjoyed the layout with the large open layout family room, kitchen and dining table. Beds were comfortable except for a very squeaky bed in the small room in the loft without a window. We made great use of the pool, porch, grill, basement game room (although foosball table in poor condition) and the beach toys/chairs/wagon. Location was perfect! There were maintenance issues with the pool but management was responsive and corrected this by Monday morning. Overall we greatly enjoyed our stay at Villa Segunda.

The advertisement stated that the property had a hot tub and a heated pool with no stipulations on whether the heating of the pool was an extra fee per day. When we arrived, the pool was heated, but there was no hot tub. The next day, the pool was not heated. We contacted the management company, Gulf Coast Getaways. They reported that the hot tub was struck by lightning and the property owner did not want to replace it. They also reported that the fee to heat the pool was $50/day and that they would not be able to have maintenance come out to heat it because of "traffic." They offered us an extra day on our reservation and to heat the pool on the extra day. We were unable to stay an extra day and asked for a credit to be applied to the reservation. After 5 days, I had not heard from Gulf Coast Getaways and reached out. Their representative, Denise, reported that no credit would be applied. We were very disappointed, as we booked the house so that we could still enjoy the pool and hot tub in cooler weather. We will not book this house again or with any home that utilizes Gulf Coast Getaways as the property manager.

- went to get a cup out of cupboard, for some reason there was a bunch of rice in the cupboard under the cup. Uncooked rice. Very odd. Reported it and they offered to send housekeeping out the next day but that seemed unnecessary so we declined.
- pool was dirty because skimmers were not functioning due to lack of proper maintenance (checking on water levels) Dipnet is full of holes. Had to attempt to dipnet before every swims. Waiting on pool maintenance meant waiting 4 hours (not exaggerating). Pool needs tlc in general, old and cracked
- game room is musty and needs attention
- loft level bedroom to the right smells awful and like must
- general wear and tear is not in line with the photos on the listing. If I’d known, I would not have booked for the price.
- any email communication with the management is sorely lacking- only communicate via text if possible
