Alloggio si trova in una guest house in ottima posizione all’interno di un palazzo storico perfettamente ristrutturato. La nostra camera quadrupla era in realtà un bilocale mansardato con macchina del caffè e acqua a disposizione. La cucina, datata di tutto, è condivida al piano terra. La persona con la quale abbiamo comunicato e che ci ha accolti al nostro arrivo è stata sempre disponibile e gentile. Ci ha dato tantissime indicazioni sulla città e sui ristoranti.

The apartment was spotless. It was comfortable for a family of 4. The location was close to the university and writhing walking distance to everything.

The big issue was parking. There is cheap paid parking in front of the apartment, and it is free in the evenings, but you can only pay for 6 hours at a time during the day, and the app that the city uses to pay will will not work if you don’t have a Portuguese credit card. There is no option to pay with a card on the machines and they give no change either. So we were stuck waking up early to feed the meter and then needing to come back to our apartment every 6 hours so we wouldn’t get a ticket. Not the apartment’s fault, but it was a big inconvenience during our stay. Another thing to note is that the apartment is on a hill over the street parking. There are quite a few stairs just to get to the ground floor. We were on the third floor which meant that we had to carry luggages up 4 flights of stairs ( including from the street to the property) during check in. This is pretty common all over Europe, but this apartment was excessive even for our standards.

El hotel esta precioso, una casa antigua linda, decoración muy linda, techos amplios, habitación grande y cómoda, la camada super cómoda, buena presión de agua, super ubicado esta muy cerca de las áreas de interés, el personal encantador, una linda sorpresa.

It was really nice renovated. It has an air conditioning a really nice bathroom and it is located in the student area which starts a the main street . So you have a few bars and restaurants also up there. The distance to the city is totally okay to walk.

Das Guesthouse ist gut gelegen und sehr schön renoviert. Es wurde viel Liebe in die Einrichtung gesteckt und es war sehr sauber. Das Personal ist feundlich und hilfsbereit.

Das Guesthouse ist sehr ringhörig. Wir haben zwei Nächte darin verbracht. Davon konnten wir eine Nacht kaum schlafen, da eine Gruppe im Haus untergebracht war, die sich nachts über das Treppenhaus hinweg unterhielt. Auch liefen sie hin- und her und verschoben Stühle direkt über unseren Zimmern/Köpfen. Die zweite Nacht war die Gruppe abgereist und es war ruhig und angenehm. Nennenswert ist, dass das Personal sehr hilfsbereit war und versuchte, etwas Ruhe zu schaffen - was aber natürlich in der Nacht schwierig ist. Fazit: Es kommt auf die Zusammensetzung der Hausbewohner und die gegenseitige Rücksichtnahme an, ob man eine ruhige Nacht haben wird oder nicht...

Bien situé. L’appartement est charmant et bien décoré. Très propre et confortable. C’est clair avec les belles fenêtres.

Faut savoir qu’il ni a pas d’ascenseur.

We loved our stay at this property! We spent three night and we were very comfortable. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable for sleeping. There was a shared kitchen across the hall which was always very clean and tidy. There was also a nice deck at the front entrance of the guesthouse which was great for a glass of wine in the afternoon. Communicating with the host was quick and easy. We would definitely stay again!

This is the nicest guest house ever. The staff are lovely and so caring. The rooms are private, everything is clean and updated. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable. They answer to all the messages and questions as fast as possible. I recommend this place to everyone. It’s close to everything yet in a quite street. Very safe

I loved everything about this property

While the building looks old from the outside, it's part of its charm - inside, almost everything is up to date in terms of electrical outlets, plumbing, lighting, furnishings, windows, technology. The wood floors are beautiful and the push button locks quite convenient. No need to carry or use a key. The staff people were great; the housekeeper, Maria, was our main point of contact and she was very friendly, attentive and capable. Loved the kitchen, which was free to use at anytime, kept clean and equipped with modern appliances. It is located in a great place, a short block from the Praça da Republica, which teams with smart, young folks from the nearby University of Coimbra. The campus is only about a 10 minute walk away and the fashionable Celas neighborhood is a 10 minute walk in another direction. Lots of shops, bars, restaurants, markets nearby, but not too near to disturb one's sleep.

There was nothing we did not like.

I have only good things to say about AQ 188 Guest House. The self check-in was seamless. My room was very clean and had everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable and the AC was perfect after exploring Coimbra in the day. It's located close to the University but not in the middle of a touristy area - nice and quiet street. The staff was communicative over WhatsApp and helped with storing my bag after checkout, etc.

The house is quite well located in Coimbra, you can easily walk to the city center or to the main touristic areas (university, church, restaurants). The staff was very kind and reactive, even during the evening. Our room was very clean, spacious and well decorated. The bed was confortable. We also very much appreciated the kitchen and terrasse.

The wooden floors throughout meant that you could hear other people moving around the guesthouse. Didn’t effect our stay too much but worth knowing for light sleepers!

This guest house was the nicest I've ever stayed in. Everything was nicely decorated and clean. The check-in process was very easy, and the woman who checked us in was so sweet and accommodating. I wish I had more time to stay here, but we only stopped in Coimbra for one night. I would 100% book a room here again.

Everything was perfect, from the spacious bathroom to the comfortable bed. Had a great sleep and it was a great base for our two days exploring in Coimbra! The air conditioning was very welcoming 😊
