My friend and I stayed for a week, and truly enjoyed how beautiful the home was. It felt like a sanctuary. We appreciated how the hosts attended to small details, kept the sidewalks cleared of snow, and offered suggestions for what to see and do. The neighborhood was wonderful, with a wide variety of restaurants and spectacular open space areas within a very short walking distance. Thank you!

What a great find! A lovely house located right on the main street of Lafayette with a sweet neighborhood for walks and exploring all around. Great restaurants up and down the street. The hosts were communicative and very sweet. We enjoyed a three night stay over Thanksgiving and enjoyed every moment. If you are thinking about visiting the area, don't hesitate on this rental. Book it!

We loved our stay at the house inn. It was gorgeous inside and very comfortable for our family of five. Everything we needed was provided and the location was perfect, with easy access to local restaurants and shops. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. Definitely recommend.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Susan’s place! The home was very clean, organized and tastefully done. The location is right on the main road which is convenient, but also brings with it some traffic noise. Thankfully, it’s a pretty quiet little town and traffic slows down after 8:00pm. Susan was an excellent host. She was welcoming and communicated thoroughly. We will definitely look to stay at her place again in the future!

My family (2 adults and one infant) stayed while visiting friends. The house had everything we needed and was cozy. Location is close to coffee shops and restaurants. Rooms are small but comfortable. We enjoyed eating on the porch

It’s only a 20 minute trip to Pearl St. in Boulder, which became our favorite hangout area. This home will definitely stay on our list of “places to return to.” We wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in Colorado.

My family and I spent five nights at the House Inn and we had a wonderful time. The location is perfect since we have family who live a few blocks away. The house is right on the corner across the street from shops and excellent restaurants. It is also a quick drive to Boulder. The owners have thought of everything to make you stay very comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked with all applicances that would be needed and there is plenty of room to relax. The front porch is perfect and the backyard has lots of seating available. Now that we have family that live in the area, this house will be where we will stay every time. Thank you Susan and Pete.

My family and I have had the opportunity to stay at the House Inn twice now, once for a long weekend with extended family, and most recently for a month as we waited to move into a longterm rental. We cannot say enough good things about the house, or about the owners Susan and Pete. They are truly the kindest homeowners we've worked with in all of our various Airbnb/VRBO stays, and we've stayed in many vacation rentals over the years. Their communication is always fast and so pleasant. The house itself is clean and super cozy, with a beautiful updated kitchen and 2 bathrooms. We have two young children (3 and 6) and found the House Inn to have plenty of space for all of us. On nice days, we would play in the great yard (though I hesitate to call it that, it's more like a rock garden/patio) which our children loved. As we stayed here in the winter, we weren't able to take advantage of the many areas to entertain outside, but they look great! The house is in the best location if you're looking to explore Lafayette, and is very convenient to Boulder and Denver and beyond! If we ever have family or friends coming into town, we will definitely recommend a stay at the House Inn. The only other thing, which may be helpful for others traveling with children or who are sensitive, is the noise from the street outside can be pretty loud, especially on weekends. The house is right on the main street in downtown Lafayette, across from a cafe and a restaurant. The noise didn't deter us from coming back and staying for a month, though! Susan and Pete have also placed noise machines in all of the bedrooms. I really cannot say enough good things about the House Inn!

We felt totally at home in this quaint and beautiful house. Thank you to the owners, Susan and Pete, on having maintaining such a high level of hospitality and providing a fabulous home base for families like ours getting together for the holidays! We had a lot of snow and the sidewalks and driveways were maintained so well during our stay! The house is centrally located in Old Town Lafayette, close to restaurants and small boutique shops. This stay was such a find for us, we must come back in the summer! Thanks again!

Incredibly appointed and managed

Was lovely. Only wished the windows upstairs opened. Double bed was kind of small, but this is due to very small rooms. Location is really good right across street from coffee shop. All in all a great place to stay in cute town of Lafayette.

This was a perfect fit for our family. We were in the area for a wedding and stayed for a long weekend over the Labor Day holiday. We had to address the needs of small children (2 and 7 years) as well as elderly adults with mobility issues. This house was able to do all that and more. With the wonderful outdoor space, we were able to hold dinners for the family with plenty of room for all. We used the grill to cook out one night and ordered pizza another night. Out host had plenty of restaurant recommendations to help us find the perfect place. We sat under the covered porch chatting into the night so the kids could sleep soundly in the house. The house became an unofficial home base for the whole family. The rooms were small but all we needed for sleeping since we congregated outside and spent most days out and about. We were close to stores and restaurants. In fact, when my brother-in-law came over with some beer, and I wanted a lime we just walked a short block to the market up the street. The ADA bathroom was a lifesaver. My father-in-law cannot move nor stand on his own, and the shower on the ground floor made things much easier than I anticipated. We also found it useful for bathing the children together. The kids loved the bedroom with the trundle bed. For an older house with little closet space, there is still so much storage. Susan utilizes the space so well, we really had no problems finding a place for all our clothes (hanging and folded) as well as empty suitcases. The washer and dryer were invaluable with two kids playing in the rocks. The house was charming and well decorated. The interesting details were the talk of the night, from the beautifully landscaped yard to the doors surrounding the covered patio and even the little window in the second floor bathroom. I cannot say enough about how helpful our hostess was during our stay. Her recommendations were perfect. She was easy to contact and gracious about letting us check in a little later due to a late flight. She even stocked my favorite lotion!!! Thank you so much, Susan. I hope to return again for a family Christmas.

We enjoyed our stay at the House Inn. It was comfortable and had everything we needed. The neighborhood is charming and we took advantage of the nearby restaurants, coffee house, and chocolate shop. The upstairs bedrooms are a bit small but what you might expect with a charming vintage home. Thanks Susan for making our stay very pleasant!

Beautiful property. Charming town. We had fun. The owners have given attention to all the details. Although small the space has been utilized in very efficient manner.
