The villa is 264 steps to the main beach in Positano. Be aware of the steps. Maria arranged for a luggage porter that cost $10 a bag! Well
Worth it. You do have to pay for electricity in the villa for your stay. We stayed in August when it was super hot! We used AC at night. Our electricity bill for 9 days was $86z Overall, we would go back and stay in this villa in a second. Gorgeous!

Villa Ibiscus was terrific. Super close to 2 public beaches in town. And very close to shops and restaurants. Lovely view from all bedrooms and porches over the water . Enjoyed watching the yaughts and boats come into harbor from our deck. Big rooms , lovely kitchen, great common areas in the house. Maria set us up with Marco - as local guide and a smart man who took us for a day trip to explore Amalfi coasts best shops , Resturant’s and ceramic shops. Great communication with house manager and house owner. Lots of steps to get anywhere in Positano . To be expected. But all around a perfect vacation.

Roberto’s home is just wonderful! It’s just like the photos and perfectly located.the rooms and beds were comfortable and house was very clean and kitchen has everything you need. It sounds like a lot of steps in description but not really. It is positano after all ( maybe do some stair workouts before you go!)and you’re very close to a lot of restaurants and bakeries ,ice cream, pharmacy etc. we did a wonderful cooking class in Montepurtoso and beach clubs and Roberto’s recommendation of da Adalfo beach club was the best of all . So authentic it was actually my favorite memory of our trip ! Roberto was an amazing host … he was responsive and helped with dinner reservations when we couldn’t get ahold of the restaurant he recommended. This Villa is nothing short of magnificent! We arrived by ferry and were met by the luggage porters as well as Marco, who greeted us and showed us the way to our Villa. Along the way he pointed out “must see” spots as well as recommendations of where to shop and eat. Maria was waiting at the Villa ready to explain all that we needed to know to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfection. She even worked hard to make sure our Villa was ready for an early check in, since we arrived earlier than expected by ferry. Marco also spent at least 30 minutes sharing about local traditions, including the organic lemon he brought us from his garden. Marco also made us exclusive reservations at local places so we could enjoy wonderful meals without a wait. On the last night before checking out, he came to the villa to make sure we were ready for check-out and ended up making us a reservation at the most wonderful restaurant, Luna, located high up in Positano with the most spectacular sunset views. The Villa itself is amazing! The pictures do not even compare to what you see once you walk inside. Each of the 3 floors of the Villa has a large terrace that overlooks the sea where boats come and go throughout the day and night. Watching the boat activity was one of our favorite activities. Although there are a lot of stairs, the location is worth it! I can't recommend this place highly enough! Thank you all for the most amazing vacation!

Just returned home from Italy vacation and our say here was very nice. The property was perfect for our family, each member having the own space with that incredible view. The host was very helpful for all our special request and even arranged porters to handle our luggage. In addition, his assistance Marco and Maria were very helpful as well. On our last night, we arranged for them to prepare a home cooked meal for us, and it was amazing. The only issue was our request for a special celebration with this meal, and it was not handled. Upon selecting the menu, it was suggested that if we wanted anything extra to make the meal special to let them know. We request and confirmed extras for a couple birthday celebrations and even confirmed our wishes after arrival. to our disappointment, it never happened and was not arranged. Nothing was even mentioned. we would recommend this property for anyone visiting Positano.

Although the VRBO pictures show this place with beautiful setting, it’s not until you first open the door do you realize how incredibly beautiful the setting is over looking the Mediterranean Sea. The location is perfect with restaurants above and below the location. Roberto’s place is just what you would imagine an Italian home to be. Maria was also very helpful setting up our day trip to Pompei. This was our first time to Italy and this place made our family experience perfect. Be sure to book early.

Stayed for a week with a total of 5 ladies for a girls trip. There was more than enough room for all. The views are breathtaking. The stairs to and from the villa are a challenge but the sane was true to the entire vertical city. Come prepared. The villa was very clean and kitchen modern and stocked with convenient touches. The best part of the villa are the property managers Maria and Marco. They helped arrange transportation from Naples airport, porters to carry the luggage up and down the stairs and cooked us dinner after a day tour to Pompeii. Marco also did a private tour for us in Capri and Sorrento which were just what we wanted! I highly suggest you contact him before your stay to arrange something! cannot say enough about how lovely our stay was.

We loved this villa so much - each bedroom has its own floor, patio, and bath. It's very private and all the views are breathtaking. The antique furnishings are gorgeous. The location is perfect - not far above the ferry and main beach. We hired Marco to give us a tour and it was one of the highlights of our trip. He had wonderful recommendations as well and helped us coordinate our transportation.

Perfect location. The villa worked very well for 2 couples! Loved all the terraces! Definitely not a place for anyone much over 70 unless you are physically fit (but that’s pretty much true of Positano in general). Maria did a great job promptly answering our questions and arranging our departure. We had a fantastic time.

Loved the location and the amazing views. There was a lack of communication with Maria the manager and also Marco was supposed to come by and give us some ideas of what to do in the area but he never showed up. I just wish the communication was better.

We loved the location…. Beautiful views. The shower was a bit intermittent between hot and cold …. Otherwise everything was great. We had to pay quite a bit for electricity which we haven’t had before It has all been included elsewhere.

The views here are amazing, and it really feels like the quintessential Positano property. Every room has a view and a balcony, plus there's a kitchen with most things you'd need and a well sized living / dining area.
Being Positano there are a lot of stairs, both inside and around the property which is laid out on 3 levels. And as the stairs inside are steep and rock hard, with very low balustrades, I wouldn't recommend it for families with young kids. Our youngest was nine and we were always nervous of him getting up during the night (the kids bedroom as at the top of the stairs). But I acknowledge that that's Positano and presume most places are similar.
The town itself is really nice but very touristy. And there are lots, I mean lots of steps (which is fine if you're fit!).
The check in process was great, and the hosts were always responsive to messages.
Beware that you'll be charged for electricity consumption but I assume that's the norm in this area.
Overall we loved our time here and would definitely consider coming back.

We had the best time at this property. The location is fantastic, steps below the main road. As others have mentioned, there are a good amount of steps to get to the beach, but it is so worth the trip, and the views both going up and down are worth every step. My wife was 5 months pregnant during our stay and she was able to do it no problem.
Roberto was friendly and responsive weeks leading up to the trip, and even arranged a private car to and from the Villa from Naples where we flew in from. Maria met us in person when we arrived and gave us a detailed walkthrough of the home and its amenities, as well as recommendations of things to do and places to eat during our stay.
The views from the Villa are outstanding. Each of the three patios have breathtaking views of the sea and Praiano; the soft city lights at night were just as amazing as the sun in the morning.
I highly recommend this home for your next stay in Positano, you will not be disappointed.

The property location is just a short 90 steps below the main road and only 300 additional down to the beach. Sounds crazy I know but, we were guests ages 68-72 and navigated with no problem. GREAT LOCATION! Check in was smooth with Maria meeting us at the road. Marco came to talk with us about what we wanted to experience while in Positano and was so very helpful. He arranged a boat for a half day, gave us good insight for out hike on The Path of the Gods, accompanied us on a day trip to Capri and he and Maria came and made dinner for us on our last night in town. It was yummy and very much appreciated since our ride was coming to get us at 3:00AM. The patios outside the Villa are wonderful. They provide a great view of boat action and teal blue of the water is mesmerizing. We loved everything about the Villa and Positano.

Our group of 3 couples loved this villa, beautiful inside with antique furniture and tiles, lots of space for gathering or privacy. We loved sitting on the balconies watching the water. The location is close to beaches, shopping and restaurants, expect everything to be up or down cobble stone steps.

Positano is a one-off place, extraordinary and beautiful. The villa has wonderful views over the village and the sea from three balconies. It is well equipped, spacious and the air con is very effective. The owner was outstandingly helpful, giving excellent recommendations and advice. Also the arrival person Maria Delores was very helpful and kind too. It was a special birthday, and we all had the most wonderful celebration - couldn't recommend it more highly - just be aware this is a vertical property in a famously vertical town, so clearly you need a degree of fitness and good mobility to visit.

I loved everything about Villa Ibiscus and wished we could have stayed longer!
The stunning villa is in the BEST location, and has the best sea view (sooo close you can hear the people on their boats greeting each other!) with the intoxicating, calm sound of the lapping tide…
The interior is beyond beautiful, so comfortable and everything works as intended!
Whether you take the “long” walk down along the main road (convenient market nearby) with so many lovely shops and small restaurants or the more direct to the beach wide, stone steps, each turn offers a breath taking (am I dreaming?) view.
Roberto is so great with communication and I cannot thank him enough for sharing his wonderful property.
Charming Marco greeted us with the keys, patiently explained the map and answered questions and so much more…
And wonderful Maria Delores came the evening before our 6:30am departure (on short notice), figured out our utilities, returned the remaining deposit and watched the thunder and lightning with us before departing…
Thank YOU Maria Delores for answering your phone at 6:30am and helping us get back in the villa to get a bag one of us realized we had left!

Roberto, We had a great stay at your villa, everything was as described or better. Our family of 7 had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the view from all 3 levels. The heart of Positano
A girls get away was a great success at Villa Ibiscus. There was plenty of room to spread out and have alone time, but also several outdoor areas to gather. So fun to watch the changing scenery of the sea! Plenty of kitchen items to prepare meals and glasses to enjoy a cocktail. Great location and walking distance to several great restaurants and the downtown area. Quick response from management.

Heaven on Earth
This Villa was perfectly-located and even better than the pictures. The views from every room/floor are breathtaking, and Roberto, Maria, and Marco were extremely helpful before and during our stay. There is no question that I want to be Marco when I grow up! Our only regret is that we forgot to drink the bottle of prosecco that Roberto gave us when we checked in. Hopefully his next guests will be able to enjoy it. All in all, this was a fantastic experience.

Enjoyed our time in Positano
We enjoyed the location and views of this property very much. The stairs that other individuals in reviews described were not terrible except when carrying luggage.
The unit could use a lot of updates and a deep clean but for the location it was a decent time. I’m not sure I would pay the same price again for the quality of the unit.
The beds were not comfortable and each guest was only given 1 flat pillow. In addition to 1 pillow, we were each given 1 towel for our 5 day stay.
In this unit you’re paying for the location and hospitality of Roberto so if you’re looking for somewhere central and planning to spend time away from the unit this would be a great place for you.
Unit is close to the ferry that takes you to Capri, Amalfi, etc so it’s a little rowdy at times but made it very each for our to make our way to Capri. There are great restaurants nearby as well and small grocer.
The pharmacy is right across from the stairs to take down to the unit and offers Covid testing if needed. Keep in mind that Positano is participating in a garbage separation project and if you miss a day you’ll be stuck with the items for another full week.

Our Positano Vacation
The villa was beautiful. The location was perfect and the property owner, Roberto was very helpful. More importantly, Maria Delores and Marco, the property managers were fantastic. They were kind, caring people who took the best care of us. No request went unfulfilled with Marco and Maria. I would go back to positano just to have dinner with them. This was the best place to stay in all of Positano.

Beautiful villa in unique Positano
The villa was charming and beautiful, with great waterfront views. Only 85 steps or so up to street level (that’s not bad by Positano standards), and down steps (many-hey, this is Positano) that led directly to the beach. And we ended up liking that it was located closer to the slightly quieter end of town. Roberto was an excellent host, making sure ahead of time that our visit would be enjoyable, answering all our questions diligently that we asked before we traveled during these complicated and challenging times. Highly recommended-beautiful villa, amazing town, great experience.

Absolutely spectacular!
Villa Ibiscus was the perfect place for our family of 6. The villa is stunning - especially the views from each of the terraces. There was plenty of space for everyone. Maria was so kind and helpful with recommendations (il Ritrovo is a must!) and assistance with travel arrangements. The location was also perfect - not too far from the beach and good restaurants. very impressive and beautiful villa
The property was even more beautiful than the pictures. It was very spacious and in impeccable condition. The rooms, common spaces, and patios were all spectacular. It was not too far up the hill from the city center/ beach area and in a great location near everything one would need. Roberto was great with recommending places to get COVID tests done nearby for our flight home. Maria was fantastic with the check-in and check-out processes and was very attentive to detail and friendly. Villa Ibsicus is now a villa our family plans to return to each time we visit Positano in the future.

Spectacular views and villa!
Bathroom is even more beautiful than the pictures. Conveniently located next to a store. Short walk down to the beach. Very informative host. They helped set up Covid test for our airline as well as transportation to the airport making our trip very easy. Thank you for a wonderful vacation

Views we will never forget
You always have a worry your rental will not be quite as the pictures, definitely not in this case. The villa was just as pictured, better even. The view from the terraces are just stunning. We have never stayed anywhere with such a stunning view. Roberto, the owner, was a great communicator throughout. María met us from our taxi and did a thorough show round. Along with her daughter they cooked us a fantastic meal on our last night, making it a really special evening on the terrace. We had a day tour with Marco, had a great day and had a really good lunch in Ravello. The Amalfi Coast is just stunning and this was the most amazing place to see it from. I hope we will return!!

Amazing villa
Villa Ibiscus was an amazing villa. You have to connect with Marco for your excursion experiences. He made our trip the trip of a lifetime! He is personable and very knowledgeable. The villa was perfect for 4 couples. It was clean and had every amenity that you need. I would highly recommend this property.
