Casa Lago is situated in a quiet area, yet close to everything that Fort Lauderdale has to offer. The house is perfect, even better than it looks in the photos, and the pool area is truly paradise. There's total privacy with the lake out back and thoughtfully planned landscaping between houses, and I can't imagine anybody being unhappy with anything there. Hector is the best host, always there to accommodate, yet unseen otherwise. I'd totally recommend this property, which will exceed anybody's expectations.

Hector is very thorough and takes VRBO very seriously. He was in close communication with us the entire stay and his house is beautiful and clean. We loved the pool and the area is close to Las Olas Boulevard and the beach. Would highly recommend!

This home is extremely clean (on inside). Beautifully remodeled! The pictures do not do it justice. However the jacuzzi only gets hot about an hour before the owner cuts it off! The showers only gives a short time of hot water. The owner responded to me as though he was paying me to stay there instead if me paying him. He actually reprimanded me for not beginning my message to him with a good morning greeting. He was very demanding, telling us to pull his trash bin to front for collection rather than requesting. Again the house is gorgeous but the jacuzzi is cold and so is the property owner.

My wife and I rented this home for about a month with most of our time during Feb 2022. Our adult children joined us for the last week. We believe this is a fair and honest review. The home is located in Poinsetta Heights area of Ft. Lauderdale. It is in a residential area and very friendly. Close by are many retail outlets, restaurants, it is about 3 miles to the beach and Las Olas, and 15-20 minutes from the airport. The home is a tale of two stories. My wife describes it as a Monet, from a distance it is a masterpiece and up close it falls apart somewhat. It is shame, as all the owner has to do is put a little effort and more oversight into the property and it would be a real find and wonderful. When we first arrived we entered the front courtyard and discovered the patio furniture was moldy and the cushions mildewed. It is a shame the courtyard was really not useable. We entered the home and found it clean, spacious and very beautiful. The furniture and decorations were very nice. The listing pictures are very accurate. The appliances are good. The heated pool and hot tub is magnificent. The backyard pool also has a very nice sitting area with couches and a pergola over it. If you were vacationing there for a short visit and not living there, like we were for a month, the home, if you accepted the following shortcomings it would be great. The disappointments. The master shower is frankly dangerous as it is extremely difficult to regulate the water temperature and if you are not very careful you will be scalded. Also, there is a water hammer in the pipes which changes the water pressure and makes it difficult to shower. The home needs new towels (thread bare and some holes) and new dishes (cracked and not microwaveable). Though the listing said pantry items were included, the pantry was completely bare except for sugar packets, some coffee k-cups and tea. We had to stock everything ourselves at our expense. That would have been fine but the listing provided a different expectation. We had to replace a disgusting mattress pad and replace the gas Grill-bbq grates and flavor bars as they were not useable (rusted grates – dangerous to cook ). However, the owner in fact reimbursed us for those items. The pans were not useable as the Teflon was flaking and would be in the food you cooked. We ended up buying a new fry pan. Our family of five had a wonderful day at this property. There was plenty of room for everyone. The owner was very responsive to any questions that we had. We would definitely stay here again.

My family of 7 went down for a wedding and were so impressed by this property. We cannot wait to go back.

Perfect home to celebrate our anniversary. All of your amenities are provided (pots, pans, blow dryer, beach chairs/towels etc) My toddler loved the home so much that he didn’t want to leave. The home is located in a quiet family oriented neighborhood and the backyard felt like our own private getaway in Hawaii. Check in was easy and I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a relaxing and quiet get away.

When we first walked in, after a 14 min ride from the airport, we were all oooing and ahhhing! The house and pool are stunning! Everything was spotless and looked new. Everything you will need is already there, just add food. The washer and dryer came in handy as we washed our beach towels at night. The neighborhood is very quiet but that was fine with us as we don't stay up late. The only negative is that if you want to use the hot tub in the pool, you have to text the owner and have him turn it on remotely. Also, the grill could use a good cleaning. I would love to stay here again and hope to get the chance. Thank you Hector!

We enjoyed every minute while staying here. It was nice to not have to go to the beach and deal with the crowds if we didn’t feel like it. Hector answered any question I had very promptly. I definitely recommend staying here!!

This place by far exceeded my expectations! I came down here with a few of my friends and we had the best time! The house was amazing and the pool area was beautiful. The location was good and close to everything. Hector was very responsive and answered any questions we had. The house is lovey, however, the neighborhood is extremely quiet. Not feasible for kids. The sound machine by the pool exceeds the limit with the pool sound alone. We did not have a garbage can the first two nights and organized the garbage as much as we could, yet the owner attempted to charge an additional cleaning fee which we refuse to pay. I have stayed in plenty of VRBO and and have never had issues with hosts—this was my first bad experience.

We spent 8 days in this amazing property and had a fantastic time. The house is exactly as described in the exposé and is just beautiful, especially the pool and the jacuzzi are fantastic. our 4-headed management gathered at Hectors place and worked out the strategy for the coming year 2020. the house is perfect for such an occasion. 4 bedrooms, privacy when needed, enough space to spread, open inviting setting, a pool to cool our heads... ;) we rented bikes in order to have some exercise after the excel sheets. everything is within bike range, the beaches and las olas. we felt in love with the restaurant louie bossi and the fresh baker gran forno, both on fll main street / las olas. there were days we didn't use the car. bikes are expensive to rent, though. would be perfect when they would come with the house. we recommend this place. its a jewel!

When you enter this incredible house, you are quite impressed by its spacious layout and the amazing view of the pool and lake. This house has been beautifully renovated and the layout is perfect for families or groups of friends. The bedrooms are in three locations, providing for privacy and a perfect bedroom for children. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are perfect. Hector, the owner is a wonderful host. He has put so much into making this house special. He is responsive to your requests and really wants to make your stay the best it can be. The kitchen is great for cooking and there is a huge grill outside. This house had everything you needed to ensure a comfortable and pleasant stay. The pool is amazing and the hot tub divine! The view of the lake makes the outdoor experience very special. Lots of beautiful birds, iguanas, and ducks. Fort Lauderdale beach is close by and worth visiting. Lots of shopping nearby. This is such a special house. We hope to return again. Many thanks to Hector for having created this perfect vacation home!

This house is beautiful and very clean. The pool/jacuzzi is so relaxing. The owner (Hector) is very nice and very responsive to your needs. It was 9 Ladies and they all had a Fabulous time. One of the ladies suggested having a mirror in the other 2 bedrms. No complaints, it was a wonderful weekend. Thank you for the wine and coffee Hector, what a nice touch to add.

We spent nearly two weeks in the house and it was just outstanding. The house looked excactly as on the pictures and maybe even better. The interior is wonderful and very elegant, the kitchen well equipped and the pool is just fun. Hector is a great renter. Very attentive and very fast. He replied within minutes to any message we sent. Just perfect. We are allready thinking about our next year vacation in FtL and in Casa Lago. It was a pleasure. Thank you Hector!
