I enjoyed that this place was cheap and had basic amenities (warm shower). Everyone staying was nice and the staff was too. A good amount of room to hang out or lounge. A good bargain hostel overall.

I could feel the springs in my bed and upstairs is hot. Sometimes the bathroom is busy. Breakfast is dry and redundant but hey its free. Wish there was more space for drying clothes. Kitchen needs new pots and pans.

Me gustó mucho el ambiente relajado y amigable del lugar. Hice muchos amigos durante mi estadía. El hostel se encuentra en un barrio muy bonito, accesible fácilmente con el metro. Hay mucho arte en las paredes del lugar, y también un par de guitarras y una batería para tocar música. Recomiendo mucho este hostel. Espero volver pronto.

Phenomenal, friendly, welcoming staff! A nice, simple breakfast cooked when you're ready, so it was always hot. The wifi was very suitable for working, and the other guests were understanding and respectful, as there is no truly dedicated workspace. Great value overall.

Not much unfortunately. The position is nice, near the metro stadio and Calle 70 which is nice and more authentic than poblado. The hostel is super basic

Toilet super dirty, kitchen dirty as well. Room super basic with bed very old. There's a lot of people working there so, there's at least 3 people at the same time, they're all good guys and they answer to all the questions you might have but I asked for toilet paper and I've been told to go to the other bathroom which is fine but 3 people there and no toilet paper. The curfew is at midnight after midnight is quite but before it's a party hostel with loud music, keep it in mind if you want to rest

The staff is really friendly, informative and very cheerful so they make you feel very welcomed and there was a general vibe all along the hostel. Making friends was really easy even for an introverted like me

The breakfast is really plain and poor. Just 2 eggs and a toast of bread everyday, the first day they served me some beans from the day before and reheated in the morning. I was explained it was a Colombian custom but didn’t look appetizing at all.

Great location right near the metro. Nice common areas.

Rooms with bed bugs. Bathrooms are rarely ever free when you want them.

Absolutely fantastic accomodations. Located in a great area the metro train is located right across the street which makes it extremely convenient to travel anywhere in Medellin.

Fun atmosphere and the staff was super nice and helpful for our trip. We made a lot of friends here too and hope to come back when we are back in Medellin!

Cool hostel in a nice lively area! First time in my life I lied down on a big sofa and watched Netflix in the hostel 🤗 Nice atmosphere made by the international people working and also volunteering in the hostel. Finally some English spoken on the reception 😆👍 Great value for money+ nice free breakfast! Eggs, toast, jam and sometimes rice with beans. Rooms are spacious and clean, some of them have curtains. Many lockers available! Always hot water! Nice big kitchen for own cooking. They kept my luggage when I went away for a 5day trip!! Definitely recommended to stay longer than just 1 night here to soak into the great atmosphere of this hostel ☘️ Thanks to all the nice and cool people working in the hostel for being so friendly and always helpful 👏

Cool hostel in a good neighborhood. Close to shopping and entertainment, friendly staff, good breakfast.

Would have given a better rating. The problem was that I had bed bugs in my dorm bed. The manager said that it was not true, but it was. I had prepaid for multiple nights and asked for a refund for the remaining four nights I did not stay because of the bed bugs. I was refused any refund whatsoever. I was offered a different bed in a different room though, which I did not want. The bathrooms were not exactly clean.

I stayed here for a few nights, really enjoyed my stay, great place to meet new people. Staff was really nice. Will definitely come back

I loved the vibe & the staff/volunteers. very chill environment that felt at home pretty fast even for a one night stay. i also liked the open air-ness of the interior.

Despite the great vibes, i did wake up to bed bugs 😷 so not the cleanest. Sad because i would've stayed longer if that wasn't the case

This was just not the place for me, it was so so loud because it's such a friendly place and they play music loudly until 3am. If you want to hang out and meet people though, this is a great place.

good location close to the metro which made it so easy to travel all over Medellin! I really liked the neighborhood and the staff at rock hostal was super friendly! different events at the nights, dance night, party, movie night! social hostal and the breakfast was good!

The bedsheets were thin enough to see through. Fans were caked in dust which was being blown across the room. I think it was three bathrooms for the whole hostel. One shower on my floor for 3 or 4 rooms of 6 to 8 people in each room.

great accommodations at a great price. I enjoyed the tv with Netflix upstairs and the sofa to watch tv before going to sleep. I walked 50 miles in 5 days day and night believe me when I tell you this is an absolutely safe area no matter where you walk. I’ve met many Colombian citizens they are hard working,family oriented, kind, respectful people who actually love tourists exploring there city’s they are just trying to survive like the rest of us on this planet. I highly recommend this hostel and this area to all travelers.
