A group of three families stayed here while in town for a baseball tournament and we were all thoroughly impressed with the house. The rooms are all spacious and decorated beautifully. We were there during a heatwave, and the air conditioning throughout the house worked great. The whole house was well equipped with everything we needed. It was very quiet, too - you couldn't hear people walking upstairs or showers running from the main floor, so it was very peaceful and easy for that many people to be in the house together. We appreciated the large dining room table that was large enough for 10 people to comfortably enjoy meals together. Great place to stay when in Louisville!

Five guys in for a Bourbon Trail weekend and this house was perfect! Each had their own bedroom and bathroom! House was in a great neighborhood. All the amenities we could ask for, even a dining room table that easily accommodated a poker game with snacks. Host was highly responsive when we lost air conditioning and had it fixed before we got back to the house. Would highly recommend this property!

House holds 6 adults very comfortably. Any more than six and some doubling up in beds starts. We were very pleased with this property for what we needed.

This is probably the cutest home we've ever rented on VRBO. It was super clean, had many amenities, and was a great space for a large group. I'd absolutely recommend it to those visiting Louisville or the Bourbon Trail!!

What a cute house! Comfortably slept 11 for a great family celebration. Conveniently located near Churchill Downs, Louisville Campus and other major attractions. Plenty of dining, craft beer and nightlife nearby. (Recommend Hauck’s Corner!) The backyard is spacious enough for Ladder Golf or Cornhole but bring your own if you can. My Dad is already talking about coming back for his 85th! Thanks Kristen! You were a great host!

We were there for a stock show at the Kentucky Expo Center and this house could not have been in a better location for us. It was quick access, easy to get around, in a wonderful neighborhood, just overall a great house for our 9 people!

This listing is just as the pictures are. It’s a VRBO where you are happy to see that the pictures are a true reflection of the home.
The beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms were very clean. The home is nicely updated with very warm and welcoming touches.
My only thing to say is the location. Driving into the neighborhood made me a little apprehensive. It’s a neighborhood very close to U of L. I wouldn’t walk anywhere at night. I didn’t not feel safe per se. There are a lot of families that live in the neighborhood. There is an airport very close by but the noise machines in each room drowned out any noise.
All in all, it’s a very beautiful home with lots of great space for 3 families (10 people total) to have plenty of room. Having 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms was really nice for our week long stay.

Property owner/management was very responsive, but not much was needed while we were there. The home was clean and all bedrooms/bathrooms we’re comfortable and well stocked with necessaries.

Our families stayed here for a tournament in Louisville. The house was perfect--so many beds and lots of space, and it's a perfect location to get to UofL and the Fairgrounds/Churchill Downs. We loved it so much last year that we stayed here again this year, and will continue to stay here if we come back for future tournaments!

The owner was great and easy to communicate with. The #of bedrooms with king beds & and full bathrooms made the space very accommodating for our group of 10 friends for a quick weekend get away. This is an older home so squeaky floors and stairs are to be be expected but overall we were pleased with the cleanliness of the house and they have it decorated cute. While the neighborhood was a little unnerving at first glance, we never felt unsafe, and it was a quick uber ride to downtown destinations.

Our company of six stayed here while on a business trip. It was convenient to everything. Great for hanging out and relaxing after a busy work days. We also enjoyed walking to local brewery and restaurants. Very clean.

5 full bathrooms!!!!
Loved so much about this house mostly the 5 full bathrooms so no waiting for showers. The house is very clean, nicely decorated, my bed was super comfortable. The neighbor was safe and quiet. There were the occasional airplane going over but I didn’t hear it at night and I’m a light sleeper. Fully stocked kitchen. And it was SO close to the exposition center. We’ll definitely try to stay here again if we’re back in the area.

Tournament Stay
This was a great house! We stayed for a local basketball tournament. The house was perfect for our stay. It gave us room to spread out and was really close to the expo center. We would love to stay again on our next visit.

Great location!
This property was roomy for 9 adults and in an awesome location for what we wanted to do in Louisville. The 5 bathrooms were great. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. There’s a great bakery near by. The host was quick to respond to any questions we had.

Perfect House for Large Group!
The house was perfect for our large group of 9! Plenty of space to hang out together but also spread out when needed. The house is VERY charming! The location was great - close to the airport (airplane noise didn't bother us) and very close to other activities. Kristen was very responsive the few times we had questions. We would definitely stay here again!

Weekend getaway
We enjoyed our stay for a family wedding weekend at this house. Beds were so comfy! The only thing we’d recommend is towel racks in the bathroom most bathrooms didn’t have a rack to hang up towels after showering. We’d come back!

Bourbon Trail weekend
Kristen’s place was perfect for 5 couples. We all had our own bedroom and bathroom. We had pizza outside one night and sat in her backyard. It’s small, but it worked out just fine!

Big house for Big Guys
This was the perfect house for a 40th birthday bourbon trip. 6 guys each with their own bed and 5 bathrooms. Couldn’t have asked for better! And sound machines in each room too! Thanks for making the stay so nice!

Everything is spectacular
The only reason I am giving this place five stars is that I don't have the option for giving it 10-stars. We absolutely loved the neighborhood (we even chatted with several neighbors). We went for several walks and it's very charming. The house itself is very well supplied, and having six spacious beds was absolutely amazing for three families. Not to mention the five bathrooms. The decor is spot-on...you can tell the owners have put a lot of thought into every detail. Thanks, Kristen, for a great weekend!

Great stay!
This property was perfect for our meeting. Each person had their own room and bath and we were able to utilize the living and dining room spaces to meet and relax. We prepared some of our own meals and the kitchen was great. The location was excellent and we took advantage of local coffee houses and restaurants. Thank you!

Nice play to stay close to everything in Louisville
We stayed at the property with a group from our company. It was large enough for all of us to have our spaces and be very comfortable. It was convenient to everything in Louisville. It’s noted that it’s close to the airport, but we never had any problems with noise. However, the sound machines were a nice touch.

Very nice. The kitchen could use a overall-cabinet updates etc. The appliances were nice. However, overall the cabinets just need to be updated-especially under the sink.
We love the historical look of the home and would have loved to have a short history of the home in our information folder.

Nice house
Nice house and neighborhood but didn't know how close it was to the airport, the plane noises kept me up during at night. Also they could update the mattress and pillows in the upstairs master bedroom.

A week in Louisville
We were 6 pairs of moms and daughters in Louisville for 8 days for a basketball tournament. This house was exactly as described. It was comfortable and spacious enough to easily accommodate us all. The girls made the basement area their hangout and the moms stuck with the main floor. It is an older house so there are squeaks and creaks, but that is to be expected. Airplane noise didn't really bother us as it was hot out so we were inside with the air conditioning going most of the time. We didn't use the backyard much, but it was large and well maintained.
It is super fun neighborhood and everyone we met was friendly. Several coffee shops are within walking distance and we tried them all. Our favorite find was Nord's Bakery. You should definitely check it out.
Kristin was a very responsive host. She usually replied to inquiries within an hour. The one time we had a significant issue, she got back to us within minutes and had it fixed within a few hours. I would not hesitate to recommend staying at this property.

Beautiful home in great neighborhood!!
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Derby House!! It is close to many attractions and downtown activities. The comfortable home provided opportunity for our family to spend time together in the evenings while preparing meals together or just hang out and visit. Kristen is wonderful and accommodating to answer questions or make our stay enjoyable!

Charming House in Great Location
Kristen's place was the perfect place for our guys weekend. It's a charming restored house with updated amenities and great electronics throughout the house. Everything was super clean. Check in and out was very easy and communication was great. You are about 10min drive to downtown and walking distance to some great cafes/resturants/shops. Would definitely stay again!
