Situated in a quiet residential area on the outskirts of the town, just back from the front, South Lodge is a gem. Our greeting was friendly and welcoming and we were impressed when shown our room, everything was spotless, the attention to detail was tops, with every need catered for. Breakfasts were fantastic and the hosts make it easy to enjoy the company of other guests, some of whom have returned many times. Parking is easy and even on the road it's free. We can highly recommend South Lodge and would love to return, We would have scored it 11/10 if possible. Olive and Roger Clay.

The room was clean and comfortable with thoughtful extras. Steve and Tony were excellent hosts, friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend and stay here again if in the area.

Ideally placed for the South Beach. Perfect accommodation as we finished cycling the Way of the Roses. Excellent secure bike storage. The owners were friendly and very welcoming.

Only if I had to be picky, decore a little dated, but very clean and tidy and in no way effected our stay.

Everything from going in door was perfect tony n Steve are 2 nicest people u cud meet the bnb was spotless the breakfast was amazing felt at home as soon as u arrived wasn't a thing our room didn't have loads of extra s bed was comfortable

Very friendly hosts upon arrival ...everything was well explained ....exceptionally clean rooms ....very comfy beds ...yummy breakfast would definatly reccomend the full english nothing too much trouble ...love the little touches in the room ...chocolates on pillows ...bathrobe and slippers extra milk for the hospitality trays 8f you need it ...as those little pots are never enough came in lovely cute little milk bottles ..would give this property 10 out of 10 if could have given more i would ....would definatly recommend and stay again .thankyou for having us xxx
