The property manager was very thorough, giving us a booklet on the do’s and do nots of the property. We did have to call on the person who oversees the property and they were very helpful with helping us. The views were stunning when we come back to Iceland we will definitely be staying here again..

Stunning property location with unsurpassed view !! Our family cannot say enough about our overall experience at this location, whether it be the scenery from your front window, the sheep, oh how I loved the sheep neighbourhood, the property amenities such as the hot tub and nearby hiking, etc. etc.

The place was great. Very spacious with all the amenities you need. We loved the view from the living room! The communication with the owners was top notch. They respond quickly and provide detailed directions, instructions and recommendations!

Everything was wonderful It started with the excellent communication with the host-- the guide to the rental was the best one I've ever encountered The views from the living room and sauna were amazing Appliances were high end and worked well We also really liked the music system only thing missing was a freezer in the fridge for ice And the hottub was great and we made good use of it The location was also was convenient for exploring northern iceland Overall we really enjoyed ourselves during our stay and would recommend it to anyone staying in this part of iceland

We stayed in the Kaldbakur house at Nollur for 11 nights in July and it was a very enjoyable stay. The house is spacious, well equipped, and was very clean when we arrived. The view over the fjord is spectacular and we enjoyed many late nights on the porch taking in the scenery. There is a hotpot (jacuzzi) on the porch that takes a couple of hours to fill but is then very nice to relax in. Driving into Akureyri takes about 20-25 minutes which is worth keeping in mind for those that like more proximity. Communication with Thomas and his team was great throughout. Three minor things I'd suggest for an even better experience: 1) The grill is a bit old at this point and could use being replaced (or at least thoroughly cleaned and having the burners checked). 2) As far as we could tell, the property has no freezer, so we couldn't bring things like ice cream and other frozen things back to keep. 3) Our rental was a hybrid but the only outside plug was in front of another rental property. It would be great to install a couple of other plugs since hybrids and EVs are becoming more and more popular.

We have stayed in this house twice and would stay again. Everything was great. Location is almost perfect. Close enough to town but far enough to get away. High end furnishings and decor. As an American would like a freezer to keep ice in. Communication with hosts was great.

Lovely place with a great view

We don't want the secret to be out, but this location is incredible! The style of the house is unique and very picturesque. The location on the bay has stunning views in every direction. The house is well appointed with great amenities. Thomas was friendly and unobtrusive, but there if you need him. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend this property for anyone staying in the area. PS: Sorry about the bird, Thomas. I didn't think there was an appropriate bin for it to go in.

We really enjoyed our stay. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen fully equipped, just bring your own coffee. The hot tub and the view are mind blowing. We have been able to spot whales in the distance (bring binnoculars) from the hot tub.

This was an excellent rental property. Clean, well appointed, private, and with stunning views. It’s proximity to Akureyri, Husavik, and the Diamond Circle make for fantastic day trips. Communicating with the owners was simple and efficient. Will definitely return for a longer stay in the future.

This is the 2nd time we've stayed at this home. We've visited Akureyri for spring break with the kids two years in a row. Kaldbakur is such a perfect choice for us - cozy, clean and comfortable in a stunning natural setting. We look forward to our 3rd visit!

The pictures do not do this place justice! The views are incredible, king bed was very comfortable, and we loved the location for the solitude and privacy with easy access to Akureyri. While we didn't cook or use the hot tub, the kitchen looked to be fully equipped and we appreciated the thoughtful and detailed suggestions for day trips and dining. I highly recommend this place!

Absolutely wonderful place with views of the fjord that are beautiful. We stayed in the winter and greatly enjoyed soaking in the hotpot while watching the snow. Perfect size for a family.

This property is everything one could dream of for a relaxing and rejuvenating holiday. The house is perfectly situated overlooking the fjord, mountains, and lovely city of Akureyri. Just a short drive to town with amazing restaurants, shopping, and very friendly locals. The property owner Thomas was kind, responsive, and accommodating. Truly a piece of heaven on earth. The cherry on top is my Fiancé proposed to me here :)

This is my second stay with these hosts (but a new property). The properties owned by these hosts are among the best I’ve ever stayed. The location was perfect for seeing the northern lights outside our living and bedroom. The property is secure and has gorgeous views of the fjord. It’s quiet and the kitchen is well- apportioned. There is a coffee maker for every taste and the floors are heated for your comfort. There is an amazing sound system that you control with an app that allows you to customize your listening experience while taking in the views. The communication is seamless and any requests are handled immediately. This is a working farm so the sheep and ducks are a bonus! The hotpot is unique and a treat. There’s a gas grill and plenty of room to get cozy. This property has a washer and dryer. The appliances are updated and relatively easy to work. Some items to know but I promise they will not affect your stay: There are stairs to get to the living quarters so not the best for ADA but there are other properties on site with no stairs. No air conditioning- you do not need it- the windows open for fresh air No freezer- not really needed because a market is less than 15 km away for fresh food and ice cream No TV- you don’t miss this because the views are stunning and you’ll probably be outside anyway. Can’t say enough about our stay and next July cannot come soon enough! Thanks Thomas, Annett, Anna, and Alicia!!

This property is stunning. The house is built into the hill and the materials are beautiful. Very peaceful and you can walk right outside and see the mountains. Highly recommended. Plus Thomas provides you with an amazing pDf of things to do which we took advantage of. Would stay again. Thanks so much!

Wonderful house and location!

Excellent house with design elements on an incredible location at the fjord. Thomas was a great host, who helped us with ideas and solved any (small) problem instantly. All facilities are in perfect condition, the hot tub is a real delight.

The house was everything as described. The location was within short driving distance from all the amenities one would require. We were able to prepare many of our meals and the coffee-making options were perfect. Our host Thomas was attentive and provided us with a great memorable experience. The horse riding nearby (Polar Hester) was excellent as well. (we booked three separate tours during our stay and each one was excellent. We recommend this accommodation without any hesitation. Five Star Experience!

Beautiful property in the middle of the action in Reykjavik! We used this property as our home base for the last half of our Iceland adventure! Plenty of room for our family of four with lots of great restaurants and shopping within walking distance!

Our second stay at Nollur, first time in this house. It is an amazing place to stay, and we enjoyed every minute! Communication with Thomas and Anna was terrific, and the view of the fjord cannot be beat.

This property has a spectacular view over the fiord and was also lovely and quiet. Directions to the property and other provided information was great and the owner was very responsive to direct contact/requests. Visitors should be aware that the property does not provide very many basic pantry items like other properties we stayed in and there is no iron, TV or fans or cooling options (the house was quite hot a couple of days we were there in early June - you can open the windows but lots of flies and no fly spray). The outdoor pond was in need of a clean. Overall we enjoyed our time at the property and waking up to that view each morning.

Unbelievable place! Even better than the pictures show if that's possible. From the unbelievable view out of every room in the house, to the location across from the fjords, to the amazing sound system and hot tub, I really only have good things to say. The only negative was that we didn't get to stay long enough. I could've spent days just sitting in the living room or hot tub staring out at the ever changing view. I hope to be back some day to see the aurora from this place when it's not so cloudy. Thanks for an unforgettable stay! Oh, and that hallway is amazing for a little "fashion runway" show.
