After a lifetime of staying on the north side of Yachats, this cottage was south of the Yachats River. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the sandy beach on that side of town while only a short distance to the wonderful rocky outcrops of Yachats.The cottage was very comfortable with lovely was especially well-equipped for cooking.

My family and I had a great time there exploring the beaches and had great hiking experiences. Unlike many vacation rentals, this house had everything we needed for cooking meals and was easy to access to the beaches:-)

Great little place just outside of town within walking distance to the ocean. Little bit longer of a walk into town but still a good location. House and amenities are in good shape and working order. We will definitely look for this property on our return visits.

Initially surprised to be staying on East side of 101 but turned out to be a beautiful short walk to the beach and town. Great comfortable and spacious home for us and small dogs. We had such a great time! Thank you for hosting us

I felt like I was staying at a friend's house. Everything that I needed or wanted was there from cookware to tea towels. The beautiful private garden in back was icing on the cake.

The instructions for finding the home could've been more complete. There are 3 homes up this driveway and this home has no number that's visible from the driveway.
The home is very nice and comfortable. Very nice art, furniture, comfortable beds, well eqipped kitchen, nice partial view of ocean. The fenced yard in back is great with lovely flowers.
The home is not really within walking distance to anything so you need to drive to everything.
Overall it's quite nice!

Outstanding relaxing time on Oregon coast. We also live in an Oregon coastal town yet still enjoy the unique experience a yahchats had to offer as well as this beautiful rental house.

Above average vacation kitchen with nearly all the equipment most cooks could want: coffee grinder, blender, slow cooker, large assortment of utensils and kitchen tools, etc. Nice little sunny back deck for windy days.
FWIW, the VRBO map location is a bit misleading in that we saw the cottage on the beach side of 101, but it is across the road. Beach access is just across 101 and a very short walk south where you will see a path to Yachats Ocean Rd. Very enjoyable and comfortable cottage!

This rental is just outside of Yachats and is lovely space to get away to the ocean. The house was very clean with all the amenities needed to make the stay comfortable from the well stocked kitchen to sand toys and chairs to take to the beach.

Went to the art show, spent quite a bit of time at Neptune playing on the beach and the rocks, walked the 804, went to the Sunday market, hunted for agates. Did not want to leave.

House was clean and orderly and comfortable with most things you would need. Fronts Hwy 101 on the East side so Hwy traffic noise is constant. Ocean view is minimal and short distance (a few blocks) to beach across highway. Pet and musty smells were prevalent. Absolutely no cell phone reception but wifi is available. Basic TV channels only. No sports channels or movie channels.

What a lovely cottage! Everything we needed to cook was in the kitchen. It was very clean, nicely decorated and so cozy. We were able to walk into town and not worry about parking. All in all a beautiful week! Only downside was very few TV channels to choose from.

My friend and I spent four lovely nights in the wonderful cottage, which was totally well stocked with the things we needed. The furnishings were comfortable and very tasteful! I just missed hearing the ocean, but we could see it from the deck and kitchen windows. We were right up against HWY 101, which was a distraction, but workable. We could get to the beach easily. Over all, a great birthday celebration for me!!

My spouse and I went for 5 days. We loved this place. The view of the ocean from the kitchen window is a plus, and it’s only about a 5 minute walk to the shore. Because it’s right on highway 101 it is noisy unless all windows are closed, but the tasteful furnishings are so clean and comfortable and cozy. We would stay there again.

This cottage just makes you feel at home. I'd love to be there when all the flowers are blooming. Our only disappointment was the Cable TV was down for two days due to the big storm.

The place is clean and well equipped. Everything was comfortable, the beds, the couch, the bathroom, everything. So easy to get to the beach and to the Hwy heading anywhere. If you are wanting to cook a gourmet meal, bring your own specialty equipment, the kitchen is stocked with basics.

We loved staying at this little cottage. It was very charming, and clean. The beds were comfortable. The only thing I would recommend is a privacy cling on the lower half of the bathroom window. We would totally stay there again!

Lovely home away from home. Very clean and comfortable. We could see the ocean from the kitchen table and the front deck. Cute little fenced in garden and sitting area in the back. Short walk or bikeride across the street into the neighborhood. Tide pools were amazing. Great seafood. Yachats is a cute little coastal town.

We LOVED staying at this little cottage. It was so clean and well stocked with anything you might need. We loved sitting at the table having coffee and looking at the waves.
The front and back porch are both darling and the flowers around the yard are lovely. We loved the town of Yachats too!

This was the perfect place for my family of four and our dog. The kids each got their own twin bed, and the backyard is completely fenced so our dog had a safe space to play outside. Dog toys are even provided! Everything was clean and well-maintained. I loved sipping my coffee on the deck every morning while watching the waves break. We would love to come back again.

Clean and comfortable. Great kitchen that was well stocked with essentials and utensils. Our family(dogs included) loved it. It felt comfortable enough that we were sad to leave. If you’re thinking of booking this house just do it, you will not regret it. Only downside to some is no cell phone service, but it was actually great being out of touch for us.

Great stay at garden cottage by the sea
We had a great stay. The house was clean and well equipped beyond our expectations. The kitchen had everything we could want and more! The access to the sea is across the street. Access there is kind of rocky and hard for those with bad knees to get down to the sand but we found other access points. Our dog really enjoyed running on the beach and also the fenced backyard. We enjoyed the flowers and the decks both back and front. We went on a charter fishing out of Newport, visited the Aquarium in Newport and the visitor center in Waldport was interesting too with nice chatty volunteers and exhibits on the history of the area. A great place to stay to enjoy the area.

My Wife and I have now visited the "Garden Cottage" and we love it more every time. The owners have done an amazing job of setting up this house for full functionality for visitors. Yachats and the surrounding towns are so much fun to visit. This year I decided to go to Newport and do some Halibut fishing. I'm coming home with more wonderful memories of the Oregon coast and a freezer full of fish!
