The lady at the front desk was so awesome and the beds were soft

The staff was awesome! Very friendly and helpful. AND they have small appliances that you can “rent “ during your stay. I used their Giant toaster oven to cook dinner every night.

So… the property is an older building. The walls are kind of thin and I could hear the rather LARGE dog in the room next door romp and play until 2AM. What finally made me cancel my future stays was when I was awoken by the smell of cigarette smoke filling my room. Not the Hotel’s fault per say. Don’t know if the person nextdoor was smoking in the room or if the AC/Heater that is filtered from the outside air had a smoker siting under it. I’ve stayed at other hotels and never had this problem.

I have dietary concerns so I prefer a location where I can cook my own food and Candlewood is a competitive price compared to other local hotels.

We arrived later than expected and no one was at the front desk. My daughter and I waited outside using the phone and no one answered. When someone finally came, it appeared and smelled as if that person had been drinking and smoking heavily. The person also followed us upstairs which was very unsettling. When we entered our non-smoking room it smelled terribly if cigarettes. The room appeared clean otherwise, but we did not feel comfort able the next day we bought febreeze. Candles, washed the air conditioner filter and wiped everything with antibacterial wipes. It didnt help much. The second days staff seemed much more on top of things. These our 2nd time visiting. Our daughters plays softball in Longview regularly throughout the year. We will likely not be coming back and redirecting our team mates away from this location. There are so many other hotels in the area I think we can just go somewhere else.

The rooms are comfortable

Location was great. Hotel was in a safe area. Night shift clerk was very nice. Morning clerk was always visiting with the same man, probably her husband.

Water pressure was terrible. Room located right next to elevator. No breakfast. Had to take dirty towels to front desk in order to get clean ones.

The location is great. The staff was very helpful and nice.

The air conditioner cannot be controlled. We moved from one room into another because it was 60 degrees. It could not be adjusted. The room they moved us to was set on 71. It got hot in the night and eventually I was able to adjust it. But it was still difficult. The bed on one side was so close to the wall that you could barely get in bed. I’m skinny and I had to walk sideways to get in it. I won’t be staying here again ever.

Al the staff were so friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to help find us an outdoor restaurant where we could have or dog with us.

Beds and pillows were great! Nice big bathroom and kitchen area

A/C needed to cool better. Room had a smell . Needs more lighting.

There wasn’t a breakfast option.the sofa bed was uncomfortable.

The television didn't work in room, had to call front desk, to see why it wouldn't come on. The rooms weren't decorated with pictures No towel rack in bathroom, they were just sitting on counter. No setting area as stated with couch. Chairs in room had steins in them.
