We needed pet-friendly (as my wife and I were bringing our dogs), something close to the beach (why even stay at the beach if you have to drive 10 minutes to walk on the sand?), something with enough beds for everyone (four couples and 2 teenaged kids who'd want their own beds), and ideally, with a heated pool and/or hot tub for enjoying in the potential November chill. The Brick House delivered on all of these! The living room and big dining table made for a great family gathering. And each one of our families had plenty of space to themselves, too; my sister and her family might be in the hot tub, whereas my brother-in-law sat up on the deck, my parents in the living room, and my wife and I took the dogs on a long beach walk. My brother-in-law loved the arcade game console. The kitchen has plenty of plates, mugs, and glasses for serving any carry-out or delivery meals, and if one was so inclined, to cook in as well. The beach is a block away, visible past a couple of condo towers from the front deck. We walked each morning to Hug-a-Mug Cafe (about a half a mile, just across US 17) for coffee and breakfast. Plenty of restaurants in easy driving distance, too. Overall, we loved the stay and would definitely come back for a longer one!

We all enjoyed the house, we loved the location! The heated pool was amazing. We had children and infants who really enjoyed being close to the beach and having the heated pool to swim in! Only complaint was the hot tub quit working I called a few times and they said they would send someone out but no one ever came out to look at it. Other than that the stay was fantastic!

Great time

Kitchen Sink facet broken, fridge shelves broken & queen bed broken and very uncomfortable mattress. Other than that the property was good and we would stay at this property again

The property was wonderful and in a great location.We had an issue with the hot tub upon arrival. However, this was quickly resolved by the management, within the hour. The grills on the property could use some proper cleaning, we did not call about this issue. We just chose not to use them. Two of the beds upstairs were very noisy and could use some new box springs. Squeaky, getting in and out of. However we did not call on that either. The house is spacious and plenty of parking. Location was great for our group, however I would probably not choose this location again if I was coming with a large group. Most of the rooms are very small and storage is basically non existent. Most rooms do not have adequate drawers to unpack, suitcases had to be left on the floor, which made some of the rooms even smaller. Beds were really uncomfortable and one bed was broken (corner drooped). The bathrooms were OK, however some of the towel bars are pulling away from the wall and there are not enough towel hooks or places to hang towels. The kitchen has a drawer that is off it's tracks and will fall if you pull the drawer open. Something is not right with the dishwasher, I don't know if the alignment is off with the cabinet, but it was hard to close and rocked a bit. Glass on microwave door is broken and there is a nail on the floor coming up and they put an actual band-aid over it to repair. Plenty of cups and dishes, however if you are planning to do any cooking I would definitely pack things like cookie sheets, utensils and cookware. They do have some, but limited selection and I would not use any of the cookware they have there. It is very old and has not been taken care of.It was cleanish...but could definitely use a deep cleaning. It doesn't look like the floors are mopped regularly and floorboards are in need of cleaning. Overall the house worked for our group, but I was a little disappointed for the price point. What you see is not always what you get. Location was great for us and everyone had fun...

Great place to get away for the weekend.

This is a lovely property with plenty of rooms and space . We loved the dining area and the table was big enough for the whole family to play cards at night . The pool could use some updating but it was heated and we enjoyed just relaxing by the pool almost daily . Never used hot tub as it was dirty and not taken care of . The balcony’s were great for drinking coffee in the mornings or just people watching . Very close to barefoot landing and a short drive to cherry grove . All in all we had a wonderful experience and other than a few small cosmetics it was a beautiful property directly across from the beach so not far to walk at all ! I bought a cheap keurig for the kitchen and left it for the next person ( it was only $20 ) lol but other than that it had everything you need for cooking !

Perfect location. House was as described. Management company was very responsive and quick to respond. Had 1 issue upon arrival,but they were very quick to remedy. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. Literally across the street from the beach and quick drive to main Myrtle Beach and boardwalk. Plenty of grocery stores within 1-2 miles and restaurants nearby.

We usually stay in ocean lakes, which is chock full of amenities. But were unable to find a house there for the timeline. The house was great due to the size. However the walls were filthy, the whole house needs a deep clean. My son dripped his box juice by the back door and when I got something to clean it up the paper towel was black. Clearly they don't clean the floors. You can see the filth on the stairs. Mold on the ceiling in the bathrooms upstairs. The bedding was clean but comforters had visible stains. The kitchen floor is rotting where the fridge is. There is an obvious mildew smell when you walk in. The pool and hot tub were great. We did call the office because they were gross with hair and dirt bubbles in the hot tub when we arrived, but they came out within 5 minutes to clean it. We had to call them out again due to the pool and hot tub being extremely cold eventhough they are supppsed to be heated. Again they arrived very quickly to fix. Pool got warm after a few hours but the hot tub remained cold. The location is definitely a party house. We had a nice quiet stay with the exception of Saturday night into Sunday. The neighboring house had younger adult guests that were partying. Smoking pot and being loud. So for families this might not be a good option. The beds. OMG. They weren't terribly uncomfortable but every single one was LOUD with any kind of movement. My husband and I didn't sleep all weekend. Terrible. Overall not bad, we knew based on the reviews what we were getting into. I would just not label this as a great family option. Especially since it is off season and we still have party issues.

Stay was great.

So to say staying at this property was good would be an overstatement. Actually out of all my places ever renting this would be the worst. Firstly, I never received the welcome email with the address and codes in a timely manner. It wasn’t until I emailed them that it was sent to me and that was passed 4pm checkin time. The furniture is very worn and should be changed out. The beds are horrible/ squeaky and fold in when you lay. The house must be at a slant because you have to walk at an angle. Woke up on Saturday morning and the heat and hot water went out. It was 62 degrees in the house (things happen and it’s winter and apparently it was the coldest day in Myrtle day in 20 years so i get it). Also, i ordered the house through VRBO and Ofcourse you can talk to the owner the messaging on the app. At this time of me posting this, the owner has yet to message me back about her house. However, I went outside and got the resort number. I called the emergency line 7 times before I got an answer and the lady stated she was out of town and would call her boss. (Why someone is out of town and your have the emergency phone to be here, I would never know). The guy came out and worked diligently. The water pipes were frozen (again due to weather, i get it) the guy didn’t know how to assist. I had to go outside and get it together. The heat came back on but installation in the house could be better. The lady on call told me i would get a call from her boss and i never received that call. The best thing about the house is the numerous bathrooms. I would not advise you spend your money on a place that takes their time on your needs. However, it was rectified, I just believe people should still know the real experience.

Overall our stay was nice. Location was great. Furniture in living room very worn, so it appeared dingy and dirty. Beds upstairs were very squeaky! Everyone could hear when someone turned over no matter what bedroom you were in.

We had a great time. The house has everything you need. Would definitely stay here again.

This property was a perfect little getaway for an adult golf trip. Close to Many golf courses and was really nice to come back to the beach as well as the pool and hot tub. Plenty of space bedrooms and bathrooms.

House is in a great location and overall we had a good experience. The only suggestions I would make would be some of the mattresses are very uncomfortable and need to be replaced, living room furniture is pretty worn and in need of replacement. Areas such as main floor bathroom had paint chipping all over the floor. One of the bedrooms had a hole in the wall that could be easily fixed. Kitchen fire alarm is in the kitchen right by the stove which made it almost impossible to use the oven as the heat set it off everytime we opened the oven door. Might consider relocating it. The pool was kept up while we were there and really enjoyed it.

Good meeting place for family to gather from Alabama and Virginia. We all were very comfortable and at home. Enjoyed having our own pool and hot tub. Plenty of space. Not far from the beach.

I book a family vacation for my family on 9/2-9/5 and the pictures online was very Deceiving the furniture was in bad shape. The cleaning of the house was not done. Water was added to the hand soap bottle. One shower did not have working Hot water. The beds comforter was not clean the beds did not sleep well. The moisture in the air was horrible. We were not aware of the noise level passed 11pm. The pool had dead bugs in it. The location was not in a good area. I have pictures of the conditions of the house and I will post them online this house needs a lot work and it’s nothing like the picture show online very disappointing.

Loved the house and it’s location. Would love to stay there again.

The only issue with the pool was that it was not cleaned prior to our arrival.The house was clean and had plenty of parking space. The kitchen could use more pots and pans, along with drinking glasses and coffee mugs. But overall, the house met our needs.Garbage was never picked up. Found out later in the week from a neighbor that the garbage cans needed to be rolled out to the edge of the road in order to be picked up. Garbage company won’t get out of vehicle to pick up garbage. Had to find nearby dumpster to get rid of trash. This is something that needs addressed.North Beach Reality was wonderful! Had to contact them a couple times during our stay and they were very responsive and professional. I will definitely deal with North Beach Reality in the upcoming years, whether it is with this rental or another.

The office staff was very friendly and attentive to a few problems.. There are 4 family units that make up our family of 12. The bedrooms and family room are really small BUT 6 bedrooms and 4 baths allowed each family unit to enjoy their own space and bath. The kitchen was equipped nicely with everything needed to cook. We couldn't use the pool and hot tub from Saturday till Tuesday afternoon because they were extremely cloudy and dirty. They are supposed to be serviced Saturdays and Wednesdays. We were guaranteed at check-in Saturday that they would be serviced that day. We emailed the office Monday night that they still had not been cleaned and called Tuesday morning to follow up. Office did send someone out promptly on Tuesday to clean pool and hot tub. They cleared up nicely and we were able to celebrate a family member's birthday with a swim party. The office was very kind in making gesture to make up for lost pool, hot tub use. The repair man also replaced a faulty outlet in one bath, replaced a couple window blinds, leveled dishwasher that wouldn't run. Located right across the street from beach. Our family enjoyed the 1st and 2nd floor front porches with rocking chairs!! The pool and hot tub were a plus! House is laid out well. The 4 bedrooms upstairs couldn't hear TV or family time chatter or noise from downstairs! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again. We highly recommend the Brick House!

This is a great house. We had plenty of room for everyone. I have read most of the reviews for this house. the rooms are on the small side but I'm on vacation I didn't plan on sitting in the house. Over all the house was clean and in good shape. It needs some maintenance the realty company says they are aware of that and are planning to work on that as they can. The house stays booked so that limits when the work can be done. If you have a sensitive back as I do the mattresses are an issue, I had to sleep on the couch. One night and my back was out. They are also very noisy, it sounds like you sit on a bag of chips when you move around in bed. Everyone else that stayed in our group were ok with the beds. I have to say each time I called the rental company they were very attentive and worked very hard to try and fix the issues. I would stay in the house again I would just bring an air mattress for me to sleep on.
