Fantastic location for exploring Valetta and right near the ferry to Sliema. It was a superb base for us and a great start to our honeymoon in Malta. The check in was easy and the facilities were great. We slept very well in the comfortable bedroom and liked the overall design of the apartment

The dog barking upstairs at night and when we returned to the front door of the apartment. It's not the host's fault but was a little annoying

Jonathan is really the best host we have met so far! This was our second stay at La Ruelle in two years, and Jonathan managed to make our holiday even better. He was there for us 24/7. Thank you for everything! We will be back! M+L

The location was good and it was well appointed. The host was very welcoming, check in and out was very straightforward.

These are just small things. I would have liked a bathmat, more towels and not brown! The apartment felt dark.

The host was amazing from even before i checked in. During my staying he checked in making sure everything was ok. I needed slippers and he was super kind to bring me one

The apartment has a very good location, it is very clean and well furnished. Our hosts are the most helpful and caring persons I have ever met.

The renovated apartment is just a few steps from the center of Valletta and a small hidden beach without tourists. Jonathan is the most attentive owner I have met so far. Everything in the apartment is thought out to the smallest detail for your convenience. If only we could stay longer than 3 weeks!

Close to everything and far away enough to be quiet, it has all the things you need and an attentive host!

I booked this ground floor APT as felt with Covid-19 this would be a safer option . The Apt met all our need's and was spotlessly clean . The location is probably in the best area of Valetta . Across from the ocean where I swam of the rocks everyday . Jon was excellant with his communication . If ever back in Valetta I would stay here again

As it's an old building the walls are thick and you most change Router between rooms . You do not have a phone signal in the bedroom ...These are negligible issues hardly worth mentioning but Booking.com Insist

I confirm whst other guests noticed: 1. Very loud neighbours smoking cigarettes just outside apartment doors - even at night you can smell the smoke in whole apartment. 2. Very loud ventilation switching on all night. Impossible to have a normal conversation not to mention sleeping. 3. Shower and bed have strong smell of mould. Especially pillows. Owner tries to cover it with strong irritating air fresheners. Apartment is not very clean. Dust bunnies are flying around. 4. No windows. Front door is supposed to work as a window but considering smoking neighbour and loud child opening is pointless. 5. Only one blanket available - it is not enough in winter for two bed apartment. Gets very cold at night an extra blanket is necessary. Especially I do not recommend this apartment for people who value privacy and do not accept imposing controversial acquaintance with the host who apparently forgot that he is only a service provider (for what he is receiving money) and obviously confused booking.com with other types of service and caring with aggresive control. As two women travelling together we were constantly harrased with attempts to force unjustified contact through any means possible and eventually insulted and slandered when asked for their privacy and wish not to be distrurbed to be respected. Considering exaggerated responses to other unflattering Reviews and the fierce reaction to my refusal I expect another wave of unpleasant comments as a response here. The behaviour of the host together with other inconveniences ruined the stay for us. I advise to read all reviews very carefully and not to ignore any red flags. Lesson learned.
