Room was great. Ambience was amazing. Property was huge and clean. Room service was friendly and often.

The staff were not welcoming. No welcome drinks were offered. Pool timing is limited (till 7 pm only). I gave advance notice to check in at 1 pm, arrived at the venue at 1:30, and still had to wait 30 minutes to get the room. "The entire block was empty; the management could easily set up a room as per requirement." I booked a room "king deluxe with river view" for the best view of the lake, which was not offered. They set me up on level 2 from which the view was blocked. I had to request multiple times only then they shifted me to a room on the upper level. Sheesha charges were 2500 INR at first. Additional 1500 INR were added as GST, tobacco usage plus blah blah which does not make sense. Imagine spending 60% extra of the actual cost as "additional charges". It's unacceptable!!!! I asked to arrange a BBQ setup on my balcony, which came with additional charges. I never received a call from reception about this arrangement. The request was ignored. The shower temperature was fluctuating every 30 seconds. Definitely better expectations when you spend 49,000 INR for a 3-night stay after traveling all the way from Australia.

Room, pool and breakfast are good. Housekeeping staff are very helpful but a little bit inefficient. Several days either bath, hand towels or bathrobes were forgotten. The courtesy coach to the beach was much appreciated. Buffet breakfast has excellent choice and the staff are very friendly.

The public areas need regular cleaning, the glass tables around the pool are never cleaned and the corridors and walkways to the bedrooms near to be thoroughly jet washed and then scrubbed with a machine. They have a policy of playing very loud music around the pool between 11am -7pm. This isn't appropriate when they have only a few guests there who want to read and relax. It shouldn't be night club level music. Service by the pool is lacking, you have to seek out the staff to be able to order food and drinks, also quite slow. I would stop the restaurant staff from using their phones to look at social media, it happens far too often. The brunch on Sunday is good but too many flies are buzzing around the outside cooking stations and the internal dessert station. I would suggest some citronella candles might help to deter them. The management team need to walk around and see what is happening, focus on the pool areas and F&B service.

Slow communication with room service & concierge…had to ask several times for some items.

Only the wi-fi on the balcony as close to edge of property, I was offered a new room but didn't take it as I loved the day beds too much!
