This property is nestled in the Hollywood Hills and is a gem! Beautiful setting, very nice accommodations, and a super responsive host. I would definitely recommend it and hope to go back in the future.

We didn’t have a nice stay unfortunately. I would not stay here again.
The pictures on the listing are either extremely outdated or heavily filtered because it didn’t have the same look/feel in person.
The second bedroom isn’t really a bedroom. It’s a pull out couch in a tiny section of the other bedroom that’s separated by a door that you can hear everything through (you also can’t close the “bedroom” doors when the couch is pulled out). The pull out couch was so broken and uncomfortable (think metal poking you) that I had to put in a complaint. Diego was audibly annoyed that I would even complain about this. He reluctantly sent cleaners with a blow up mattress the next day and then acted like I should be thankful that he went out of his way. I didn’t go on vacation to sleep on a blow up mattress. He was condescending throughout our entire exchange and it made me feel uncomfortable.
The worst part of our stay was how filthy the place was. I was grossed out to eat off the plates and sit on the couch. If we walked around without shoes the bottoms of our feet were black. The sheets were damp and rough. The glasses had gunk on them. Everything is old and dilapidated. The patio/steps outside must have not been cleaned in ages.
There are more things to note but I’ll stop here.
I can see from previous negative reviews that Diego’s tactic is to discredit the reviewer and deny any wrongdoing so I’m sure he’ll do the same here.

This villa was extremely cute & a vibe we were excited to try out. At first it appeared clean, however, it needs a good deep clean. I spent the first 10 minutes there cleaning all the light switches as they were extremely filthy. There was also a lot of dust every where including inside the cabinets. To which we made sure to wash everything we needed to use prior to eating from it. The main couch was also very dirty. We ended up buying a king size blanket from target to place over it to feel comfortable sitting on it. Other than a nice vibe it was unfortunately a little boring & wish there was more entertainment. We still appreciated the stay & hope you can take having the villa deep cleaned into consideration for your future guests. Thank you!

Quiet hillside property in walking distance to the Chinese Theater and Hollywood tourist spots. Great private terrace for morning coffee and afternoon drinks. A bit quirky inside, limited amenities, but spotless. Easy street parking. Two things to note, the bedrooms aren’t entirely separate, there’s a big arched door feature that divides them. Also the property is accessed by two flights of narrow unlit stairs that are fine but might be a concern for some.

This property is located in a cozy and quiet neighborhood. It was conveniently located within 15 minutes of the most places that I needed to be. The property owner was very responsive and accommodating when needed.

Diego's place was just as good as the listing portrays. It was a comfortable and beautiful spot during a longer term stay while visiting my son and managing my business from afar. Good wifi (essential) and had no problems with parking - although no performances at the Hollywood Bowl definitely helped with easy parking. The place is beautifully designed and very comfortable. Hiking the hills in the neighborhood was my favorite way to start the day. Look for Flowering Tree coffee as a walking destination. Be aware that the staircase up and down to the lower level may be an issue for people with knee problems or heavy luggage but he clearly lists this in the description. I highly recommend and would love to stay here again in the future!

This is a nice little villa in the Hollywood hills that is close to all of the major attractions. We were in town for a concert at the Hollywood bowl and it was only a ten minute walk. Fifteen minute downhill walk down to Hollywood Blvd. You might want to Uber back since it’s all uphill. The host is very responsive and the villa is nice and eloquent. Just be prepared to climb the steps to and from the villa with your luggage.

My husband and I came in town to celebrate our anniversary. The villa was exactly as listed and accommodated us very well. I would only add one recommendation for future guests. Add more curtain panels to the windows for privacy. The windows and doors are great for daytime to let the sun in but the option to close all curtains without huge gaps should be an option for those who are accustomed to a little more privacy. Thanks for hosting our Los Angeles stay.

Diego was a superb host and the property was gorgeous! The house is conveniently located near the Hollywood bowl and easy to get into town but just far enough removed from the hustle and bustle that it was quite in the evening. Anyone in the area I would recommend staying here 10/10

I will begin noting that I have owned three vacation rentals in recent years, one of which was a luxury condo in downtown Seattle, so I know what a "luxury" property is, and I have stayed in a number of others, all of which met or exceeded my expectations. This one did not.
This place would probably be acceptable to a couple, who sleep together, are in decent physical shape, do not have a car or heavy luggage, and can overlook the shortcomings.
This is my experience: only after I had reserved the property was I informed that there is NO private parking. You must park on the street. You may have to park a block or more away from the property. Then we discovered that the unit is at the bottom of three flights of narrow outdoor stairs. We had two large suitcases, each weighing close to 50 lbs. I am 73 years old. It was difficult going down and worse when leaving. It would have been considerate to have included this information in the property description. The one review that addressed the issues of parking and stairways was rudely dismissed by the owner, so I expect the same
The TV did not work during our entire stay. The second "bedroom" has an uncomfortable cheap sofa bed. When deployed you cannot open or close the "bedroom" doors. I could hear my friend breathing thru the ill-fitting door between the "bedrooms." Bedroom electric outlet didn't work. There were several other problems, but I've used up my allotted space.

Indoors was exactly as pictured. Extremely clean, excellent appliances and amenities. Wonderful bed with good quality sheets and towels. Be aware, washer and dryer no longer available. Outside, slightly disappointing. As pictured except pillows and cushions wet and moldy. In all fairness, I visited in winter.

The villa is very charming and well kept. Upon descending down the stairs you come upon the beautiful courtyard and villa. My husband and I enjoyed our stay. We were walking distance to all our planned activities. As expected public parking is scarce but owner provides a city approved parking pass for use. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning some day.

The property has 40+ steep steps to entertain the unit. Beyond being difficult to descend and difficult to bring one’s luggage down, if one has any disability they would not be able to use property. The owner does not make this explicit. I had just had surgery and wasn’t allowed to carry things down steps. I contacted the owner to tell him this wasn’t clear and asked if I could cancel. I had only booked the day before. He said no and said I should have understood this because he used the word “villa” in the description. To intentionally not listing this fact clearly is unfair and duplicitous. He was completely callous and uncaring. He told me that he was sure I could find someone to help me carry my things in. Further, It is tough to find parking here. The property is comfortable enough but at this price point there are many homes in favorable locations with more convenient and safe access.

Place was beautiful, the patio definitely makes this rental worth it. The upstairs renters got a little nosey the first night and "ventured" down the external stairs to flash a light into the bedroom, but went away immediately and never happened again. If renting a car, or have a car, just beware that it can be difficult to find parking on the street. Suggest getting ride share instead.

This was such a perfect place for our Hollywood trip. It’s like coming home to your own fabulous getaway from the action of everything else going on down below the lovely tree line. So private and unique. Gorgeous woodwork throughout. We so enjoyed sitting in the big chairs in the moonlight (was Supermoon). It’s surrounded by trees so you feel like you’re in the hills & you are! This place is such a score & we’ll definitely come back to our Hollywood home if we visit again!

Diego was an amazing host. He was easy to get in touch with and he had a fast response rate. The property is beautiful!! I cannot recommend this place enough. The villa was a beautiful place but a little tired with the inoperable bbq, area dusty & not kept up. (cover torn up) Small items like the toilet roll holder broken & not replaced and cracked tiles at the top of the stairs need to be addressed;
the dishwasher was not operational (we tried youtube for the model LG & could not start) and for the money these should be kept up. I was in town for hostessing a bridal shower and had no time to be calling the host & waiting for repairs.

Staying here beats staying at a hotel. Everything is more beautiful than seen in the photos, the place is truly exquisite, the bed is comfortable, the street is quiet. Driving the streets of Hollywood Hills to the villa reminded me of driving through small towns in Italy.
I have to agree with a previous post, I can see the stairs down to the villa being a challenge for older people carrying luggage. We never found street parking, but were able to fit our car on the driveway. Depending on your plans, you might be able to skip a rental car.
I would recommend this villa to anyone looking to replace a hotel room, and I would stay again if that were what I needed. However, when in the area, we are visiting college students that are always looking forward to some home cooking, the pots and pans are small, I didn't cook at all.

We loved our stay here, the house is beautiful and comfortable, and given that it is 15 minutes away from the Hollywood commotion, its incredibly quiet! I would definitely recommend. Diego was easy to deal with and answered all questions promptly. The kitchen could have been a little better stocked with plates and equipment, but as we only ate breakfast in the house it was not an issue for us. Very happy to have stayed here.

We enjoyed out stay at this Hollywood Hills villa! The location was perfect and the property was very clean. We were concerned about parking but didn't have any issues finding a spot when we returned in the evening from the day out. Many things you can walk to and everything is close proximity for driving. Great place to stay!
