Bathroom needs new floor tiles

This unit was amazing. My family was very impressed. It had everything we needed.

Probably only blemish are the cracked tiles in upstairs bathroom.

The Dunes 6 is located in a nice vacation park with direct beach access. Plett is easily accessible in about 10 minutes by car. The entire complex is fenced and secured and quite well maintained. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

The apartment The Dunes 6 needs urgent renovations practically everywhere. In the bathroom, the floor tiles are broken, the bathtub drain is clogged, the advertised underfloor heating was turned off by the owner, the tumble dryer is defective. The staircase construction is very dangerous and unsuitable for people with limited mobility or for small children. Under the stairs there are a lot of boxes and packages with unknown content which disturbs the living atmosphere. The bunch of keys found in a small safe contains a lot of different keys, but none of them can lock the door to the courtyard, which would have been a great security advantage, because the front door was old and rickety. Contact with the host is only by WhatsApp (this was the only time in our entire vacation that we had no personal contact). Check-in and check-out without meeting a human :-(. Answers to specific questions via WhatsApp sometimes took 4-5 hours. Unusual for South Africa was also that there was no basic equipment in the kitchen (no salt, sugar, tea, coffee). There was also no gas stove for load shedding, only an LED lamp with empty batteries. Sure it was self-catering but so were all of our other accommodations and this was the only one where they cut corners.

It is a self catering facility and the location is good a it is away from CBD

Walking distance to the beach and large swimming pool inside the yard

we wanted to love this place as it has such potential - but we would never stay with this host again.

the place was filthy, from the floors to the kitchen to the cutlery. everything was basically falling apart - tiles broken and loose in the bathroom which is dangerous, towel rail falling off the wall, couches were dirty, the tumble dryer did not work. walls need to be wiped down they were filthy - toilets didn’t flush well. linen was ripped and stained.

beautiful Cosy holiday home, the beach is about 10 min walk away. the apartment has a well equipped kitchen and a bbq in the garage. Perfect also for cold/windy days the bedrooms and beds were very comfortable

a few tiles in the bathroom were a little loose, could be fixed but others than that, all was very good

What a lovely place! Everything you need. Ww can't wait to come back
