The location is AMAZING - directly adjacent to the beach with ocean views from the spacious large deck. Another amenity not picture in the photos is a beautiful dining patio in the backyard. The kitchen is very well-stocked, and the house is very comfortable. It's too bad it is limited to 6 occupants because it seems designed to sleep 8 and would fit 2 families.

House is set up well for young kids. E.g., kids sleep in the bunk room at the back of the house while the adults watch the stars from the deck or a movie at the front of the house. Very quiet and peaceful at night. Outdoor shower is private and great for keeping the sand out of the house. There are no beach toys or chairs provided with the house, so bring your own (which we always do regardless). Inside of house is well equipped: board games, plenty of towels and sheets, kitchen accoutrements etc... Neighbors are very friendly.

This little (and older) cottage is great for people desiring a beach getaway. If your ideal vacation is to be on the sand and outside it’s perfect! It is not the house for people who would rather stay inside all day or desire a luxury rental. We will definitely be returning! Don’t let the bad review from from March 2021 scare you away. Just know it’s all about location at this property.

The bed were hard, the sheets and towels were rough and old. Everything in the kitchen was greasy to the touch. The bathroom had mold in the shower and needed caulking and cleaning. The brown sofa in the living room was well worn with holes. The whites leather coffee table in the living room was stained and well worn. There was no pad under the living room rug and it slipped curled up. The view from the front deck was nice but I did have to look over neighbors frolicking in their hot tub and taking outdoor showers. I have rented before in Stinson and this is the first place in such bad condition.

We loved the location and the front desk

tiny little cottage with wonderful front porch looking at the beach. Kitchen well stocked with cooking supplies. I would bring extra towels and beach chairs, but otherwise it is perfect for 4-6 people.

Great stay, perfect location!

Very nice place, well maintained and we had a really good time in this small, quaint town - it is as close to the beach as advertised. safe place - close to neighbors, but everyone was very nice. The town is very nice but be prepared for small town.

House was terrific as far as location, just a few yards from the beach. The deck is awesome can see and hear the waves almost like being on the beach with out the sand.
House is cute with cute decor.
Comfortably sleeps several people. 2 queens and then 2 bunk beds (4 twins).
Barbecue was very clean and worked well- small but somehow could fit a lot of food on it

The living room furniture is a bit broken down but not bad.
There were maybe 3 beach towels- VERY old towels hidden in the dresser. No other beach supplies- that's okay I guess but other houses rented at the beach often have some supplies.

We rented the house as a place to stay with family for a wedding. It worked perfectly. The location to the beach was awesome too.

It's clean and well maintained, has a modern kitchen and bath, and is just a few feet from the beach. And it has a nice outdoor shower as well! It had everything we needed, including towels and bath products. They had a dishwasher and washer/dryer. The bunkbed rooms fit a family of 4-- 2 adults on the lower bunkbeds and 2 kids on the top. Unsure if 2 adults can fit together on one bottom bunk-- maybe if they're really small. One parking spot under the deck and another car can block you in if you need another spot. They had a little backyard area with a patio set but we didn't go back there since the front deck was so beautiful.

Had a family getaway weekend and LOVED this beach house. Literally 25 feet from beach, beach view from front deck, big brand new deck in backyard with new landscaping in back too. Big living room with space for everyone. 3 bedrooms, new bathroom, kitchen fully equipped. Beach volleyball net already up, so bring a few balls! Walk to to town in 5 minutes, great hiking trails 10 min walk. Perfect for families or romantic getaway. Definitely will be back!!

We loved our week stay at the Cottage by the Sea! it was the perfect spot for our family getaway. Excellent location with a comfortable deck to sit overlooking the beach and watch the sunrise and sunset. The cottage had everything we needed or wanted. It was clean bright and very comfortable...This place definitely met our expectations! The house fits 6 comfortably (two in each bedroom). The bathroom is nicely renovated, and there was definitely enough room in the house for 6 adults and not feel crowded. The kitchen was well stocked, plenty of towels, and they even provided shampoo/conditioner in the bathroom (an often overlooked perk). DirectTV and Netflix is available, and the beds were super soft with an extra inch or two of padding. Place was clean and well kept! You can tell the owners take pride in the place. We will definitely return to this very comfortable, clean and relaxing cottage by the sea... House is some twenty steps to the beach. We took daily walks up and down the beach. Take your bikes, you can ride on the beach...Overall, great location to be away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to everywhere else.

Our family had the most fantastic stay at this wonderful house in July last year. Situated in a friendly neighborhood (lots of hellos & good mornings!) you are only steps from the beach!! To be able to wake up, step outside and take breakfast out on the fantastic deck whilst looking at the sea, is pure heaven! The house exceeded all of our hopes and expectations making it an overall excellent experience. The home is well maintained and it is apparent that the owners have great taste and know what makes a beach house perfect for visitors. The interior is fab, tasteful beach décor with cute and charming beach accents dotted throughout. The ambiance provides a spirit of hospitality with quality comforts which makes it cozy and warm; and ultimately relaxing! It was a real wrench to have to leave!! The beds are VERY comfortable with striking bed linens. The kids commented on how comfortable and fun the bunks were too. The kitchen is well-equipped with all the appliances you need. Lovely bathroom. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and tidy. I have to say for me one of the best features of this property (and theres many!) is the outside shower – GENIUS! Stinson is such a beautiful place to stay with a stunning beach that stretches for miles, breathtaking scenery surrounding it, and it has the most spectacular sunrises and sunsets (not to be missed!!). I would HIGHLY recommend this perfectly situated house and hope to stay here again VERY soon."
