Waterfront Cottage on Lake Erie
Benvenuto! Questo cottage per vacanze sul lungomare è di proprietà della nostra famiglia dal 2012. Quando abbiamo acquistato la proprietà, l'obiettivo era quello di mantenere l'atmosfera storica e le caratteristiche che la rendono un posto così bello e renderlo ancora migliore. Da allora abbiamo aggiunto continuamente miglioramenti per migliorare l'esperienza del lungolago.
Attualmente (Inverno 2018-2019) stiamo lavorando a un'importante ristrutturazione e ampliamento, che una volta completato fornirà cinque camere da letto, due bagni completi e due bagni di servizio insieme a un nuovo spazio Lake Room che offre vetro dal pavimento al soffitto direttamente rivolto l'acqua. Inoltre, per la protezione delle fondamenta stiamo alzando la casa di quasi un metro. Ciò migliorerà ulteriormente le già incredibili viste sul lago. Dopo il completamento di questo lavoro, la casa può ospitare comodamente 14 persone.

Un altro nuovo vantaggio è l'appartenenza alla casa in un fitness club locale che dista meno di cinque minuti in auto. L'Huron Health Club offre una vasta gamma di attrezzature e opzioni di allenamento.
Con tutti questi miglioramenti, le parti migliori del cottage rimarranno intatte, tra cui il camino (che verrà convertito in gas per un uso più semplice), l'intimo bar e i pannelli di legno nelle porzioni originali della casa. I, my daughters and granddaughters stayed for the weekend. There was a total of 7 women and our little dog and plenty of room for all. Shortly after we arrived, we saw a double rainbow over the lake through the great view from inside. The bedroom downstairs is a plus for those who need one level. We could not regulate the thermostat for heat and reached out via text. They responded right away and someone was there within an hour. It was a fun time and in a great location.

Property was great for our group, which included adults, teens, and dogs! House had everything that we needed. Location is very close to Sandusky and having a house right on the lake was amazing! Would recommend this property!

Beautiful location and great amenities! Although the outside of the property, including patio furniture, was covered in bugs and crawling with spiders, we realized that comes with the proximity to the lake. We simply didn’t use the outside furniture and enjoyed every moment.

We would definitely stay again. It was spacious and roomy for 8 people and each had their own bed, bathroom and space. The view was fantastic! The games provided were a hit. However, the price was a bit much and the furniture was not the most comfortable. But overall, we could feel at home for a few days.

We had a family vacation with our adult children and their spouses. We were so happy that the place was pet-friendly, since we brought our dog. It was so clean and there was so much room! I would recommend black out shades on the windows, because it gets really sunny and bright in the morning. I was disappointed that I had to look at the neighbors "Trump 2024" flag, but I forced myself to look at the beautiful lake instead.

The view is outstanding! I loved falling asleep looking at and listening to the water. The house is clean and not cluttered. The beds are comfortable and the pool table was great for games with our teens. The location allows for easy trips into town- we found a yummy taco place and brought food home one night. The kitchen could benefit from more mixing bowls and baking trays. If there is something specific you want to cook you may want to bring the cookware needed with you. Permanent neighbor to the right has several dogs so if you bring yours- like we did- expect some friendly barking to ensue. Communication with the property manager over a slight issue was handled promptly.

This was our second year in a row at 24 Silvern, and like last year we had a very enjoyable and relaxing time. We are 7 guys who went from kindergarten to graduation as seniors at Fremont St. Joe and have been getting together in September for 23 years. We are all in our 70's now and since we are all from the northern Ohio area we have decided that we are going to stay closer to home for our get together rather than travel long distances. We feel very fortunate to have discovered Ted's property on the shores of Lake Erie. There is something special about being right on the water. Ted is just a great host and makes sure you will enjoy your time at his place. His property manager Heather lives right next door and is very accessible to any needs our questions that may arise. Our coffee maker quit working the second day there and that afternoon Heather's husband brought us a new one. If you are considering a stay on the north coast of Ohio I highly recommend Ted's vacation home. Thanks Ted and Heather.

Perfect house for group of 7 friends and our 3 canine best friends! Great location and close proximity to dog park, pickleball courts and restaurants (in that order). Very spacious, clean and plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Viewing the lake sunrises and sunsets were an extra bonus for all of us!! Definitely will be back!! Thank you!

There are many benefits to be had from this property, but I would have to say that S P A C I O U S N E S S is the first word that comes to my mind. The layout IS MADE FOR large groups. After settling in on the shores of beautiful Lake Erie, you will immediately feel the calming affect being on the water has on you. Ted, the property owner, is a great host and Heather, his property manager, lives right next door to the property. She is right there to help you with all of your needs and questions. Our group is already planning next year's stay. Thanks Ted and Heather!

This lake house was perfect for our two-family group plus dog. Lots of room to spread out, clean and bright with spectacular views of the lake upstairs and down. I especially appreciated the mud room area just by the front door where everyone could leave their shoes and beach stuff out of the way of the main living space. Kid and teens loved having the pool table!

Lake Front house
Great location for all Sandusky area attractions plus a beautiful view of the Lake and Cedar Point. Sunrise and Sunset very nice. Could have done without the political statement posted on the house next door but easy to ignore that.
The interior was great. Nice lay out with plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms. A great view of the lake from the spacious main living room area and bar.

Great Experience & Amazing Views!
The house is very spacious. The layout is well thought out and you have separate spaces even though it's an open floor layout which was great for our blended family holiday. They also had great extras for pets and thought through the kids needs. The check in was great and the view was amazing.

House was a perfect and safe getaway for 6 adults and 3 kids and 2 dogs! Lots of beds and bathrooms and a fully stocked kitchen. The views were spectacular. House is as it appears in the pictures. Very easy communication with Heather and Ted. Highly recommend this home!!! We had the best time. Our only suggestion would be some more deck furniture to enjoy the amazing view. I wouldn’t hesitate to book this home again.

Family Ohioan Family Enjoys Lake Erie
Family of 12 (ages 4-57) found this an amazing 7 day vacation. Clean & comfortable house right on Lake Erie. 20 minutes from Cedar Point, 30 minutes from Port Clinton (Jet Express to Put-n-Bay), local beaches, great food and beautiful scenery. Highly recommend this home for a great stay in beautiful Lake Erie @ Huron Ohio.

Will not go back
While the view of Lake Erie is impressive from this property, we were quite dismayed by the lack of cleanliness. The furniture, carpets, and curtains were stained. There were significant cracks in the living room ceiling. Additionally, there were bugs all over the windows and the outside of the house was covered in bugs and cobwebs. We had reserved the house for a week but left after a few days because we were so uncomfortable. We will not ever return and cannot recommend this property.

Great getaway spot
We found this property as a halfway point to meet friends with our kids. This house was the perfect spot- beautiful views, updated & clean. Perfectly kid-friendly and spacious living spaces. A playground and small beach just a minutes walk away was a hit with the kids, even in the chilly weather. A definite gem of a house!

This house was half way for us to meet up with some friends. We had a few babies/kids with us and the house was great for that. Very clean. Each family had their own room which was spacious (enough to fit a pack and play). A lot of restaurants in the area that we were able to order out from, however, the house also had a beautiful fully stocked kitchen if you prefer to cook.
One thing to note if you are coming in the wintertime: the driveway is off of a small road that was not plowed. We just so happen to be there on a weekend that got a lot of snow. The main streets were plowed but the one leading to the driveway was not. We had an SUV that was able to get through, but there were multiple cars that got stuck the weekend we were there.

AMAZINGLY QUIET
Bedrooms do not share a wall - so it is amazingly quiet. The electric fireplace was wonderful - we enjoyed it each day after watching the boats going by as we sat on the patio.
We look forward to staying again.

Good stay, potential to be great
The location of the house was perfect - it's right on the water with a private concrete patio area to enjoy the sunsets. The neighborhood has two small private beaches, one with a basketball court, playground, and pier, and one that is much quieter for real beach time that are each a 3 minute walk, which was a huge bonus. The house is brand new and while the spaces are well designed, there are still some kinks to work out as with any new rental. We had to raise a couple of issues throughout the week to the property manager, but he was very responsive despite living somewhere else and the issues were handled quickly. It was a great, safe getaway during COVID and we were happy to spend time together on the lake.

Quick getaway
Was a wonderful place to stay. Our family and pets enjoyed this great property so much. It had a lovely view of the lake and met all our needs. Would not hesitate to rent this property in the future. Absolutely adorable
I am almost loathing to write this review because I feel like I am giving away one of the best kept secrets of Lake Erie. This place is absolutely beautiful. I have been to this place before it was renovated and the old place had a charm of its own. But the new renovated home is absolutely gorgeous. Located on the lake, me and my friends spent hours soaking up the sun and the looking at the majestic sunsets. The property manager Ted is an absolute gentleman who went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Cant wait to be back to this place.

Breath taking views
This was a success of a stay. After the passing of our 18 year old son, this home was a great place to breathe and relax. I definitely recommend staying here to anyone looking for a great place to relax with a fabulous view.
