The location was perfect and had a great view of the city skyline. Carole and the rest of Magic lofts were great in accommodating us and helping with an easy check in / check out process.

We were a family group with wide ranging ages. Apartment 3East was great for our group. Well-equipped and a very good location. The balcony got a lot of use for relaxing and chatting. We ate out at local restaurants-Vinci, Blue Door Farm Stand and a Mexican restaurant close by. All good. Would highly recommend MF Lofts.

Carole went above and beyond during check-in to make sure we understood everything. The location was ideal and the space is great to entertain groups of 10-14 in size. I would highly recommend staying at the magic factory.

My friends and I were here for a bachelor party. All the previous reviews are on point, this place is awesome. Great amount of space, plenty of room to sleep 10+ people, conveniently located, secure building - it was exactly what we needed. The team operating the rental is very responsive as well. I would stay here again!

I chose this property because it is one of very few that offers enough beds and space for 12 adults. Basil and Carole we’re very open when it came to helping whoever got there first with check in (it wasn’t me) and they were also very clear about the layout and rules. My friends and I gathered for a 3 night run of a concert and had brought a speaker for daytime listening... Basil ensured that if the music was too loud, they would send a message or knock to let us know, instead of finding out afterward, which I appreciated. We were also unsure how many people would be staying and the hosts were kind enough to let us wait to know for sure before paying the extra person fee so that we didn’t overpay for guests if they didn’t show up. Basil also came over and helped us with the oven when we couldn’t figure that out and periodically checked in with a message to ensure our time at their place was going smoothly. I was a little worried about how it would go being in a space where the owners live on site, with 12 adults, but it wasn’t an issue. We didn’t feel too “contained” and felt very cared for with Basil and Carole. Parking on the street was fine, it’s a great neighborhood and I didn’t experience any issues there. The apartment had everything we needed and more. Plenty of towels/pillows/blankets. The space was well decorated and had the best view I’ve ever had whilst staying in Chicago. 10/10 would recommend for any, respectable, large group!

The experience we had was top notch. It was clean, had everything you need to cook your meals, plenty of space for lots of people and having 4 bathrooms was really nice. They were helpful and provided lots of information about the area. Would most certainly stay there again.

A group of 9 HS buddies converged in Chicago from all over the country, explored Chicago from this base camp! Perfect, everybody had their own bed with a wonderful great room to gather both morning and night while planning the days activities! Central location to walk to many places was key. Great hosts!

Such a cool property. Plenty of room with all the amenities. Close by to all the major attractions. We were joking whenever anyone asked far something was “15 minutes lol!”. Carole and Basil are wonderful hosts and addressed any questions quickly. Perfect weekend with our besties in one of the best cities on the world!

Hosts were extremely accommodating, went above and and beyond to meet our requests. We were allowed to store our luggage before check-in and after check-out. Property was spotless and the location was great for exploring Chicago. Rare combination of providing plenty of space for the entire family to spend time together and providing private bedrooms and bathrooms. We loved our stay.

I've been going to Chicago in December with girl friends for over 20 years. We sold our condo and feared we would not find anything as comfortable - but this is it! 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 9 beds, spacious kitchen and living room area, enough room for 9 at the table and on the couches, this is a great spot! The location is wonderful with easy access to downtown, North Ave and the northern neighborhoods. The owners live in the building so you know the building is cared for. Also, they are very responsive with answers to any questions. We will be back next year!

I would definitely rent this property again. We had Thanksgiving for 10, everyone had a place at the table and a comfortable bed. Great living area to play board games and watch TV. Owner very helpful and responsive.

As a group of 10 adults we recently stayed at Magic Factory Lofts for a long weekend for an Ohio State - Northwestern football game. Upon arrival all guests were really impressed with the spaciousness, cleanliness, and amenities of the vacation rental. The building had top notch security, bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, modern and roomy. The common areas of kitchen, dining and family room were functional and inviting. The staff were very helpful and allowed for our privacy. The location was great for our needs and exceeded our expectations. We definitely would stay again and recommend Magic Factory Lofts for anyone looking for a getaway with family and friends. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Great experience! The rooms were perfectly designed for a comfortable stay for large groups. Everything looked and felt as advertised. Convenient location to downtown, plus several grocery stores in walking distance. Carole was easy and responsive in her communication. Safety was a big priority here with all the various door codes in common spaces, which we appreciated as females. We would definitely go back!

This apartment was perfect for my family. Separate bedrooms and bathrooms for each couple and a great common area for us all to spend time together. We had everything we needed. I’m a tootsie roll junkie, so the tootsie rolls were a great treat. The apartment was immaculate and we had plenty of towels. An easy walk to wherever we needed to go and a lot of good dining options.

Large communal space and plenty of sleeping arrangements for the 7 of us. We were within walking distance to many of our activities (breweries, dinner, comedy show, etc.) and a short ride for our other events (baseball game, river walk, etc.). Easy and quick communication with the host - would stay again!

Perfect and lovely
Our family of 11 fit perfectly in this loft with room to spare. The loft was beautiful, secure and close to all the necessities we could want. The city was just a quick 10 minute drive. It was close enough to the hustle and bustle but far enough away so you could enjoy a true Chicago neighborhood feel. Lincoln Park provided a great backdrop for home base and our families appreciated the attention and detail that Basil had. The kitchen was well stocked, the bedrooms were well appointed and comfortable. It was everything we were looking for spring break as a family. We would definitely stay again.

Reunion with old friends
The Magic Factory was the perfect location for spending time catching up with old friends with easy access to downtown. We were able to walk to many amenities with bars restaurants and stores just minutes away. The owners were onsite and awesome to deal with, very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend!

The place was perfect!
This was the perfect place, you won’t regret booking it. The apartment was huge and perfect for two families and my dad who is in a wheelchair. The place was very clean, well stocked and everything worked. The owners were very responsive when we had ant questions. The beds were comfortable, plenty of pillows and blankets. And the view was amazing from the main living area. Will definitely book again next year.
