Exactly as advertised.

Great location 1 building across the street from Charley Young beach which turns into Kamaole 1 2 and 3. Well stocked kitchen easy to use and easy to clean. The shower can use a good cleaning as there is mold in grout of glass blocks...

Bedroom, bathroom, and living room were clean. We killed some roach-like bugs in the kitchen on the counter next to the stove. The mattress on the bed is very soft and sagging in the middle - so probably overdue for replacement. Both AC units worked poorly. The fridge, microwave, sink, coffee maker, bathroom sink and shower we're all clean and fine. The unit was close to multiple beach front parks that were nice - although there were some homeless there too. Walking distance to multiple restaurants. Northbound traffic on S Kihei Road was almost always slow.

Positives: location was great, close to beach and within walking distance of many restaurants. Both beds were also comfortable with plenty of linens and towels provided. Patio was nice to have (although it is a big stretch to say this is a partial ocean view as described in the listing). Negatives: the a/c in the bedroom was not working properly and it was a daily hassle to be contacting the property manager about getting it fixed (although they did respond fairly quickly in most cases). After a lot of back and forth and near the end of our week they had told us a new unit was needed and that it would be replaced but it never was while we were there. While there was working a/c in the living room area I would not have reserved this property had I known there was no a/c in the bedroom because I prefer it cool to sleep. We also discovered bugs on a daily basis, mostly in the kitchen (and we did not leave food out). I would say they were not cockroaches like a previous reviewer had mentioned but they were rather big and unpleasant. A suggestion I would have is to provide more supplies for laundry detergent (only 4 laundry pods available, which were enough for us for a week but may not be enough for a larger group who are staying longer), toilet paper (only 2 extra rolls?), and shampoo (apparently "basic soap needs" does not include shampoo).

Overall the condo was sufficient for our needs. I have provided Kathy (my contact) with some of the issues to allow them to address them as opposed to public disclosure. The location is fine and although the property is aging, it is kept in terrific shape. Staff of the property were exceptionally friendly too.

Stayed in a Maui Vusta condo six times now and they have the best location for beaches, restaurants, and stores. 1213 had everything we needed for a comfortable 8 day stay. Plenty of beach gear, kitchen equipment, will definitely look at renting again. Thanks

The kitchen had roaches. I only stayed one night and found another place. There were no sheets for pull out coach. However, the host was responsive and fully refunded me,

Wonder staff, friendly and helpful..Ed, the security guy was most helpful the few times we needed him, due to our own misshaps..centrally located, good access to beach, condo was fully stocked with all our immediate needs.

I was looking for clean, comfortable, convenient, affordable. This rental was all that and more. I looked at other properties, but couldn’t see paying an outrageous price when what I needed was a great place to stay while enjoying all Maui has to offer. I’d rather spend the money saved on activities, not gold-plated bathroom fixtures. My 6’4”, 220 pound husband and I slept comfortably in the bed. Having AC in both the living room and bedroom was great for his heart condition when he needed to rest and escape the 90 degree heat. The kitchen was supplied well. I loved having a washer and dryer. If I ever have the opportunity to return to Maui, I would stay here again. Did I mention it’s right across the street from an amazing beach? 💖

The apartment was ok. Honest to the listing, but the bedroom left a lot to be desired. A creaky bed, overstuffed pillows and the wolds loudest freestanding ac whose tube, held together with duct tape, kept coming undone and filling the room with hot humid air. Guests expected to empty the dehumidifier bucket daily as well. We ended up sleeping on the sleeper sofa because the bedroom was loud, hot and humid. The rest of the apartment was fine, with lots of beach stuff which was very useful. Snorkels and chairs were awesome to have. Bathroom kitchen laundry etc we’re all in working order. Good water pressure. Internet was slow and barely worked in the bedroom. Patio was nice but looks out over a main pathway. Make sure you have the blinds closed if you’re less than dressed but the trade off is no natural light in the apartment in exchange for that privacy. A good spot if you are a heavy sleeper and don’t care much about the bedroom and plan on being away all day.

Great location!! Suggest more cook ware for condo (i.e., a large frying pan, another large pot, lids for current pots). And, unfortunately, bathroom sink drained very s-l-o-w-l-y; needs a good dose of Drano. Other than these two issues, we greatly enjoyed our stay.

Overall it was okay.

Great location for the price, close to the beaches. The place needs to be updated, especially furniture and bed. It’s a bit noisy since it’s facing the main street, but tolerable. We were pleasantly surprised that it stocked with sunblocks , beach essentials and cooking essentials. If you travel on a budget, I would definitely recommend this place.

My son lives in Kihei with his wife and two daughters. My stay was close to their home and made a perfect place to stay. I enjoyed my visit and had a perfect place to stay for privacy, both for them and myself. The property was neat, clean and had everything I needed. I would definitely stay there again. Our condo was amazing! Great location! Close to the beach, shops, restaurants, coffee, and surfing. Loved the Maui Grill and Da Green Spot Coffee. When in Kihei we will only be staying at Maui Vista! Thank you!

Clean and tidy condo. Everything you’d need for a short stay. Very outdated and furniture needs a fresh up. Good location for exploring the island.
