Warm and courteous staff. Big mention of Asari, Mohammed and Prasanna - thank you for making our stay so comfortable

The staff were nice.

The breakfast is in a small room with no external windows. The swimming pool had none of the furniture shown in the picture (the pods) and their partner hotel was busy so they were taking away the sunbeds from this hotel and moving to the other hotel.

The staff were amazing, the rooms are large and comfortable and the location is fantastic. On booking we expected Serene Kandy to be further from town but on arrival realised it is actually close to the Kandy viewpoint and a short stroll downhill to the market, lake and central city (inclusive of the tooth temple). The staff are amazing in their service from start to end. Arjun was a fantastic host from welcome to departure and really gave a sense of care for us as guests. Our driver in Aruna is an amazing person who really made our travel to Sigriya, the ancient city, Golden temple and cave temple an amazing experience for such a packed program. All the remaining staff we engaged with were friendly, attentive and helpful with any request needed. Getting to and from the town is simple, walk or just ask the amazing staff for a tuk tuk. If you’re headed to the station or on an adventure within the surrounding area or Kandy the staff will arrange everything for you so you truly have a no worries holiday in Kandy. Be sure to swim early to enjoy the morning sunrise or at night when the temple is in full song and drumming in the night sky. A great place and thank you to all of the team there especially Aruna for all of your help and friendly hospitality.

At times the hot water wouldn’t work but the staff were quick to fix this in under a minute when we called them.

the hotel is looking a bit worse for wear. the pool area in particular is rusty and doesn’t look anything like the photos. the pool water looks a merky grey colour with many many big swimming in it. there were broken loungers and table and. o sign of the egg chairs as pictures in the images. the tiles were all rusty and the clear fence around the pool looked dirty. the bedroom balcony didn’t have any chairs for us to sit out on and to be fair if we did we wouldn’t be able to hear anything as the air conditioning unit was so loud. there was a dead cockroach on the balcony and a colony of ants eating it.

Hotel facilities and service were immaculate, the food was amazing. I would really recommend this hotel, they really go out of their way to look after their guests!

The only downside for us is we couldn't stay longer!

The rooms were big and clean.. good showers with high pressure and comfortable beds. Staff were attentive and responsive. Excellent views from rooms too. Nice that there is an on site generator and AC worked brilliantly.

There was nothing bad about the property at all. For the price point it was good. Could have faster internet and heating in the pool. Though breakfast was very good it would be nice to have dinner option too. Not essential but an idea to put a bar in or minibar in each room. Small things really.

Location was great, walkable from central Kandy with a stunning view! Breakfast was yum - we got 3 courses of fruit, a cooked western breakfast, and pastries every day - and a delicious traditional Sri Lankan buffet one morning! Hotel was beautiful - especially the rooftop pool. The staff were extremely attentive and we all loved our stay here!

Wifi at times was slow, but the hotel staff provided us with a router which solved the problem!

Great rooftop pool to relax after a day of travelling and exploring. The room was very spacious, well equipped and comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful!

The common areas and hall could be a little refreshed but this hasn’t impacted our stay as the room and rooftop were really great.

The staff were amazing, always happy to find us a tuk tuk into town as well as having breakfast ready for us each morning. Oh, and don’t forget the best bit… the pool! What views!!!

Nice rooftop pool with pool-towels, well-equipped room, safe, excellent wireless, very clean, very friendly and helpful team, transport with tucktuck for a very reasonable price, excellent breakfast, close to the hotel is a decent Chinese restaurant.

The hotel is really very good, but some renovation of the outside would improve the first impression on arrival.

Everything was amazing. We were on our honeymoon and they decorated our room nicely. We had our breakfast there at the hotel and it was very good value for money.

Lovely hotel, very comfortable + spacious rooms, great facilities and bathrooms. Helpful and friendly staff + we loved the rooftop pool, it was gorgeous up there! The pool bar is not functioning at the moment but we happily ordered in a meal. There are fresh/clean towels + wifi poolside, there are many sun loungers which are great (though not the little cabana pictured). Loved the location as it's very close to the city centre, but still far enough up the hill that you have gorgeous views & no noise. We enjoyed our stay here!

Service was excellent and very homely. Mohammed was very helpful and forever smiling. He was happy to help for any of our requirements. We had taken the family suite which was absolutely brilliant.

All staff were very friendly and obliging during our stay. We felt they went the extra mile to ensure our stay went well. E.g. giving us breakfast when we arrived later than the breakfast hours(!), and allowing us an early check in at no additional charge. Breakfast was also very good value for money. The roof top pool has a beautiful view over Kandy.

The room we were in was a bit dated and seemed quite dark compared to the type of room in the pictures that we had thought we’d booked, but it was still plenty big enough, clean and had good bathroom facilities.
