We had a wonderful stay at Rippling Waters Retreat. The house was clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the quiet side of Townsend. The grandchildren enjoyed the river behind the cabin.

This cabin was beautifully situated right on Little River. Being able to sit out on the back porch and watch the river and the Inner tubes floating was very enjoyable. The cabin was clean and well stocked. Just a lovely stay and already looking at next year!

We love Townsend, and this cabin is perfect for the making of wonderful memories with family and friends new and old.

Our stay was better than expected. The cabin was adorable; the location couldn't have been better. We made smores at the fire ring next to the river upon arrival. My grandchildren didn't want to come inside. We are from Miami where the heat puts a damper on most of the fun. Even the misty rain couldn't prevent us from enjoying our time there. The cabin had all the conveniences and necessities. All you need is your toothbrush and clothing. There is a decent sized supermarket within a mile of the cabin that have the best steaks for the bbq!!! The scenery is breathtaking. If you do nothing but enjoy the cabin and its surroundings, you will be in for a great vacation!!!

This rustic cabin isn't the Ritz and I hope it never is. It is the absolute perfect place to enjoy the Little Pigeon River and tube the day away. We could tube down to the house, get out and have lunch the jump back in the floats. In the evening we walked up to deeper pool and swam till dinner. The rustic feel and and sound of the water just melts the stress of the city away. It has an IGA one stop sign away, resteraunts not too far, and a Weber charcoal grill on the deck. It was just a short drive to Dollywood but for sure out of the hustle. My wife liked that their were no small narrow roads to get to it. It's close to a main road and easy to find. It's not a hotel! It's a cabin, enjoy the fire pit, the river and the tubing. Just don't expect room service and a turn down. I loved it!

We've stayed here 3 times and love it. The location is amazing,. We spend most of our time outdoors, either on the porch, in the yard next to the Little River, or playing in the river. The cabin is more on the rustic/simple side, but that's also part of the appeal.

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. The sound of the river was very relaxing. Loved watching the geese and there were two nests of baby birds on the porches. We liked that it was accessible to everything just a short drive to Gatlinburg and other places but didn’t have to stay in the busy cities. The one thing I would say is to check the dishes and cups before you use them and hopefully the toilets will be fixed we had to make sure they didn’t keep running or it would flood the front yard. We have already recommended this place to other family and friends.

Absolutely beautiful property and peaceful setting. Definitely want to visit again. Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed our stay, it was very clean, organized. we liked the layout of the cabin and the porch out by the river was our favorite spot. So relaxing and laid back. The only problem we had while we were there, we had a problem with both toilets...they would flush, but would not fill back up, we had this happen several times in our 4 days there. Other than that everyuthing was wonderful. Thank you so much!!!

The cabin was very clean. The rippling waters that run by the cabin is so soothing to hear. I would gladly stay here again.

Really enjoyed our visit to the Smoky Mountains. This cabin was a great location--close enough to get to all the major attractions yet far enough away to avoid the traffic and noise. It is very peaceful and well appointed. The location on the Little River is lovely; the sound of the river is very relaxing. There is a grocery store and laundromat close by and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is literally less than a mile away. Very much enjoyed our visit and look forward to returning!

We had a very nice stay at this cabin. Great location on river in Townsend. Nice bedding, nicely furnished kitchen and good TV and fast Wifi. Enjoyed our nightly fires down by the river.

We really enjoyed our time at Rippling Waters Retreat. It's an easy walk to grocery; and if you need laundromat, it's barely 200 yds away.In photos, the cabin looked a bit more secluded than it is. Other cabins are mere steps away. We could easily hear conversations of other residents when they were outdoors on porches or even down at water. But it wasn't enough to down-rate our experience.It's a wonderful location, very close to Wear's Valley (our preferred cabin locations) and Great Smokey Mountains National Park.

Easy process renting. 7 adults stayed. Room for everyone. Away from congested areas but close enough to everything.

Great stay!!

My husband and I stayed with our 2 kids, ages 6 and 9, for Spring Break. It was a great low key weekend, definitely the "quiet side of the Smokies." The kids loved the board games and walking down to the water. Decor and themed rooms were nice. Plenty of basic necessities for cooking, though there is no dishwasher or washer/dryer, which is reflected in the lower price. Only about 30 minutes from the attractions in Pigeon Forge. No winding roads to get to the cabin, but the drive into Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg may be more difficult in the winter months, as the road was narrow and winding. There are 3 bedrooms, all upstairs and close to one another. It was fine with the kids, but not really much privacy if staying with additional family or friends.

I have talked to my husband about a visit to the Smoky’s for over 40 years ! This cabin ! This setting by the river ! It couldn’t have been more perfect ! We enjoyed our quiet nights swinging on the porch swing , listening to the water ripple and taking in the fresh crisp air ! The cozy, comfy , cabin allowed us to sleep well and feel right at home with everything we needed ! What a rare find ! We made some great memories in the Smoky’s and hope to return next year ! Hope we can bring some of our family with us as there’s plenty of space and the grands would love it as well

Comfort and cozy!

The cabin was clean, well stocked and organized. Location is awesome right in the water with plenty of rapids during our stay. Fire pit down on the bank is the perfect setting for campfires, s’mores and story telling. It’s down in the valley close to local shopping and easy access to Park and Wears Valley. Far enough from the hustle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg but an easy drive over the mountain to get to Pigeon forge. Would definitely rent this again for the summer with kids and tubing down the water.
