Another year. Another great trip. Thanks again Juniper!

We recently celebrated our 50th anniversary with a trip to Alaska with our family. There were 10 of us in all ranging in age from 10 to 77. While on the Kenai Peninsula we were busy daily with fishing, floating the river, a wildlife cruise, and hiking. But as my son-in-law says, it was staying at Raven’s Bluff House that really made the trip. If we’d stayed in a lodge or even another VRBO, it just wouldn’t have been the same experience. The grounds were spacious and had everything we could possibly want—a fire pit, beautiful deck with hot tub, some fishing equipment, bikes, etc. The kitchen was well appointed and had plenty of everything so we didn’t have to keep washing silverware and glasses, etc. The caretakers, Paul and Sheila, live in a cabin nearby and it was nice to know they were nearby if we had questions or needed anything. It is obvious that they take pride in maintaining the cabin to the highest standards.

Such a lovely stay. The host could not have been more helpful. The house itself is beautiful with many amenities including an awesome fireplace with a well-stocked arsenal of wood. The view from the backyard was impeccable. Could not have dreamed of a better place to stay!

The home was fantastic. The caretaker was wonderful. We did not have any major needs while we were there but he was always sure to check on us! There was s’more makings on the counter for the kids, fishing gear, coolers, bikes, and almost anything you could need in the kitchen including tons of spices/seasonings! Highly recommend this property! From young to old, our entire group had a great time here!

Where to start? Amazing home, perfect views, comfortable home with very comfortable beds. Home owner Juniper and house managers Shelia and Paul were five star service! We enjoyed all their advice and they were extremely welcoming and accommodating! We had two families, four kids and four adults so the house was the most perfect layout. It had everything we needed and more. Centrally located to every city and trail, plus the drive from many cities was stunning. The drive from Anchorage to Sterling was heaven. The beautiful turquoise waters all around us on fishing and hikes were truly spectacular. If you want to experience beautiful Alaska, while staying at an incredible home, this is it!!!! The home is so well stocked with every amenity possible. We all enjoyed the hot tub from the deck! We are ready to come back. We also experienced two great river fishing trips via Mark and Cindy Glassmaker fishing charters and we would highly recommend using them for any fishing needs, which are close to house. Thank you Juniper, Shelia, and Paul for the hospitality, which made our trip perfect!!!

We loved Raven's Bluff House! Central to Homer and Seward (2 hour drives) as a home base, we could come back after a day of adventure and relax in the hot tub and enjoy the mountain / glacier views. Plenty of outdoors gear was available too. Check out our house review on Kovaction at YouTube! Search #kovaction and look for the red flying K.

We had an incredible week on the Kenai Peninsula. We had the opportunity to fish, hike, see TONS of wildlife like bears and moose, and no matter what the day brought, we always could come home and enjoy the amazing accommodations that this magical place has to offer.
This space is clean, comfortable, and has incredible views and an amazing yard. Plenty of room for activities, games, dinner on the deck, and the hot tub was also amazing.
The property management team is so quick to respond and to help with anything that you might need.
Kitchen is fully stocked with literally anything and everything you could think of.
They also have tons of extras like bikes, waders, fishing stuff. Very awesome!
Thank you so much for our stay!

This place exceeded our expectations in every way. The attention to details was second to none. I would highly recommend this home to anyone. The location was great because you can travel to Soldotna and Cooper Landing pretty easily. Also, with the new 3 Bears Opening, a grocery store is really close now. Thanks again Desiree and Juniper!

Relaxing retreat with beautiful mountain view
Our family of eight traveled to the Kenai peninsula to experience fishing during the salmon run. We chose this place to stay because of its location, its size, the hot tub and the beautiful mountain view. We were not disappointed!! What a great property! We were pleasantly surprised to find the property equipped with additional fishing equipment, a fully equipped kitchen, a deep freeze to store all of our fish. We could not have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend.

It has perfect Mountain View’s, a yard for playing, and is filled with relics from Alaska and around the world that enrich the experience. The home is spacious and clean and provides all the amenities you need. Will be returning in the future

Loved this place
We absolutely loved this place. We even had a moose and her baby go past the deck one night. The internet is the only thing that doesn't work very well, but you are on vacation in the middle of the wilderness, so that is to be expected. You couldn't find a nicer place, and they do everything to make your trip special. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Great house with a beautiful view
We stayed at this rental with four of our friends. So many great things to say about this property. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. In addition to all of the basics it had pluses like a super well-equipped kitchen, plenty of towels and a hot tub. The property manager, Lisa, always picked up the phone and was very responsive and provided great communication. Finally, the view from the deck was fist rate! This rental is highly recommended.

Very nice place to stay, with a beautiful view.
I caught myself calling this property home in the week we stayed there, and while I don't expect to own a place this nice in Alaska, I would want to stay here again! Nice property with beautiful view of mountains to the East. Great beds and appliances! We enjoyed the hot tub on the deck! Good service from the caretaker! Just understand whether the Bear's Den is included or not when booking. It was clearly specified but I didn't notice it at first, but it was very satisfactory for us without the Bear's Den.

Really awesome house and location
We really had a great time at this property. Juniper was amazingly accommodating for our trip which required multiple revisions to our reservation. The house is large and has everything you could need. Great new hot tub. Amazing nighttime views. The main house was perfect for our family of five including 3 adult kids, 21 through 25. Juniper allowed us to use her fishing gear and we caught a our own batch of sockeye salmon at the nearby river, and we are totally unskilled at fishing. We cooked them up using the grill at the the house!
House is secluded but safe and short drive to town with all amenities. No question that I would stay there again and recommend to friends.

Gorgeous Views
This is a spectacular vacation rental. The listing is spot on. All the amenities are exactly as promised. The beds are super comfortable. There were 8 of us age 18 to 87 and the property met the needs of everyone. The location is beautiful, quiet, views; but not too far from everything in Soldatna. The owner provided lots of good information before our arrival on activities and restaurants. The on site caretaker was very responsive to any questions or needs during our stay. I would definitely rent this property again. We hated to leave!

Fishing trip with 13 guys
The property was perfect for our group. We rented all three units Raven's Bluff main house, Bear Den, and Birds next. This gave us plenty of room for 13 guys on our fishing trip. The main house is very nice and the kitchen is well stocked with every detail covered. It was very convenient to store all our fishing gear at the outside covered pavilion and picnic table. The house is very close to Morgan's Landing and a short drive to most of the other Sockeye hotspots. The outside living spaces were very nice... from the many decks and fire pit we had a great few of the mountains. Also, a high end Weber grill on the deck was very handy.

Excellent home base with lots of space and luxury touches
From booking to after checkout, the homeowner and caretaker were very helpful and communicative. The view is exactly as represented, which is gorgeous. Kitchen is well-supplied. The location feels secluded but is very accessible to activities, stores, and restaurants.

Beautiful property with amazing views!
Fantastic property to explore Alaska. Views from the back deck are amazing. Thoughtful owner and very well stoked property. Brew602 in Soldotna for coffee and waffles was awesome! There are also a great local bookstore and brewery nearby. Perfect spot to call home base while exploring the Kenai Penisula!

Stunning and Perfectly Amazing
We loved our stay at Ravens Bluff house! Family of 9 attending a family wedding in Soldotna. Comfortable, clean and every attention to detail were met beyond our expectations! Beds were very comfortable and extra blankets were supplied. Kitchen supplied with most everything you need. Enjoyed the jacuzzi and the vast amazing mountain and forest views!
Thank you Lisa for your hospitality, and thank you Juniper for giving us a memorable stay in Alaska.

Can we just move in forever?
My wife and I, along with our 2 children, recently traveled to Alaska to attend a wedding. Having relocated to Florida from Alaska 10 years ago, we were excited to be tourists for once!
After seeing the beautiful pics of Raven's Bluff, I decided to book it for a week. The price seemed really fair for such a unique property.
When we arrived dead tired after 24 hours of travel, we lit up like Christmas when we arrived in Sterling and saw this magnificent home...It was perfect! The location and the view made you feel like you were a million miles from civilization. The interior was perfectly modern yet rustic and included everything you could ever need, making us feel at home.
I asked Juniper if she could have the hot tub ready when we arrived and it was good to go, jets, lights and all! Juniper and Lisa were always quick to answer any questions and to help with accommodations 🙂🙏
The beds were very comfy and we slept well every night. The backyard was nice and had a fire pit for us and the kids to enjoy at night and make smores (can anyone actually eat more than one of those things??)
When it was time to leave we had to accept that this was in fact not our home...it was tough 😄😔
We plan on making this our place to stay in AK from here on out, it's not going get any better than this ❤

This is an absolute beautiful property! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and working with the owner to book. We cannot recommend this property enough!!

Fabulous - trip of a lifetime, great place to stay!
This lovely home has the best view I've ever seen - we literally sat out on the deck until nearly midnight (still light!) every evening, taking in the breathtaking scenery. Beds are comfy, linens are high quality, and the kitchen is very well-equipped. Communications with both Juniper (the owner) and Sharon (the caretaker, who lives next door) were excellent and seamless.
This house is also extremely well-equipped with fishing gear, coolboxes, kids' bikes etc - really everything you need to enjoy a terrific holiday. I was a bit worried before we went that it might be a bit isolated, but with Sharon next door and a couple of small cabins nearby, plus easy access from well-paved roads (only 1 turn off the highway, although that is a couple of miles away) it really was the ideal blend of 'civilization in the wild'. We used the house as a base to explore the beautiful Kenai peninsula for the first time, and enjoyed day cruises and trips to Seward and Homer, and fishing with a guide on the Kenai river. We also hiked and saw salmon leaping up waterfalls, and even saw a bear catch a salmon in the river while we were driving on the highway! Since the scale of Alaska is just enormous, all of the day trips will involve quite a bit of driving, albeit through amazing scenery, so in my opinion it's probably not an ideal vacation for very young kids. The house was quiet and comfortable (has helpful things like a big freezer and blackout shades), and good value for money for the large amount of accommodation it provides - good for groups. I also thought this was a much nicer location than staying in Kenai, and a great home base from which to explore everything the area has to offer. You are only 15 mins from everything in Soldotna if you need shops or want to go out to eat, too. Highly recommend this gorgeous place!

This home was very nice and slept our group of 13 easily.
We really loved this house. It was spacious and a great option for our two sets of family. We each had our own kitchens and bathrooms. The view of the mountains on a clear day was great and we loved the hike from the backyard down to the river - you can even send someone to morgan’s landing to pick them up if they don’t want to climb back up the hill. There is not much to do near the house but perfect location for day trips if you want to go in all different directions - 40 minutes to Kenai, 2 hours to Homer, 2 hours to Seward, 2 hours to Alyeska, 45 minutes to Coopers Landing and Russian River. We had wildfires and some smoke while there but it usually burned off after the mornings. The farmers market in Soldotna was great and had a large grocery store and Walmart and lots of cool artsy shops only 8 miles away. We went swimming in Stormy Lake with the unseasonably hot weather during our late June stay. The house had lots of towels and picnic chairs and coolers to take with us on our day excursions. Keep in mind - no air conditioning but even on our 80 degree days, we didn’t need it. It got very cool each night. We also saw moose on the area almost every night on our way back to the chalet. We made family dinners every night in the extremely well stocked kitchen and we saw Sharon the caretaker often and she answered all of our questions promptly and thoroughly. It was simply a wonderful 9 days in Alaska.

Beautiful views, wonderful house
We were a group of 10 coming from 3 states to spend a week at this fabulous house. I really can't say enough good things about it! The place is beautifully decorated, the bedrooms are a good size and very comfortable. The decks give amazing views of mountains, trees and beautiful skies.
The kitchen is well equipped-in fact this is the most stocked house I have ever stayed in. There were plenty of herbs and spices and also condiments when we arrived. We took Juniper's advice and did most of our shopping in Anchorage. There are 2 stores in Soldatna (about 6 miles away) that were good for last minute things. We cooked almost all of our suppers at the house (we were lucky enough to have someone who loves to cook). It was a great way to get together each night since we did separate things most days.
If Alaska is on your bucket list---GO! It is an amazing place. This house is a perfect home base. Though it may seem a bit far to the major towns (Homer, Seward), the drive to those towns is so beautiful that no one was bothered by the long drives. There are a lot of pull-off spots for picture taking and viewing wildlife.
Thank you Juniper and Sharon for the amazing experience.

Great views and beautiful house. We had a group of 12 and it fit us perfectly!!
Beautiful property! This house was perfect for 12 of us (6 couples). We all had our own room which worked out perfect. There are plenty of fishing poles, mud boots of all sizes and much more so we didn’t really need to bring all our gear with. We would defiantly go back again!

It was a beautiful house with an amazing view
We had a great time staying at this wonderful home! The only thing I would recommend is to share with your guest, the bed in the master bedroom is a sleep number you have to adjust. We had no idea and slept in the second bed that was more comfortable. Other than that it was well stocked and had everything you would need! Sharon was great to work with!

A DREAM COME TRUE!!!
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with us! We are still talking about it a year later. We absolutely loved everything about our stay! This property had everything we needed to spread out and recharge from our very long journey from Missouri. We cannot wait to return to this paradise to gaze upon such vast beauty!

Great place for guys' annual fishing trip
Great place for lodging, cooking, entertaining. Excellent kitchen amenities. Gas range and outdoor grill. Excellent elevated patio with amazing views of mountains in the distance. Close enough to town but far enough for privacy and closeness to outdoors. Owner and on-site caretaker establish contact well in advance of arrival with continuity throughout stay. We did a river float for silver salmon and met the guide about 15 minutes away from the house. Halibut fishing in homer was approximately 2 hours away. Great grocery store in soldotna about 20 mins away (Kroger affiliate). Fish packing processing/shipping at tanner's 20 mins away as well. One of the nicer vrbo' we've stayed and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
