This was our second time staying at La Casa Iguana. Our first experience was so great we wanted to stay here again. We love the location and the house is perfect for 2 couples. This experience was a let down. The house was not clean. Apparently the previous renter had dogs and there was dog hair everywhere. The house was not as clean as the first time we stayed so we cleaned the house and pool the first day and turned our vacation around. Hopefully the next time things will be different...

This house had everything. It was new, clean, and close to the gym and Publix. Easy check-in and great service if you need anything from the office!

We had a great time. A very comfortable place to stay with comfortable beds. Loved the pool!

My family loved the house and our stay in Marathon. The house was clean, updated and really well appointed/equipped. The place couldn't have been better for my family of 6 (sons - 21,15; daughters 18, 9...along with me and my wife). When we weren't out exploring my youngest daughter couldn't get enough of the pool (glad we picked a place with a pool!), and my younger son (an avid fisherman) spent hours fishing from the dock...not a ton of fish but enough to keep him interested. We saw manatees in the canal several times during our stay, which was a great bonus. If you plan to bring a boat this place is set up really well (nice dock, legit ice maker, 2 water hoses on the dock and fish cleaning table...there is power on the dock as well). The only negative is the proximity to the post office, meaning truck noise during certain parts of the day. Overall, the location was convenient; close to a couple of grocery stores and only a couple of miles (easy bike ride) to Sombrero Beach. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

The house is very beautiful and looks just like the pictures. The pool is perfect, there is a shallow end with a step off which was perfect for my kids. There is also a bathroom right by the pool which came in handy with young kids. The house feels very spacious and the rainfall showers in the bathroom were a nice touch. There is plenty of seating indoors and outdoors for all of your meals. We cooked a lot of meals here and the amount of kitchen equipment/utensils was the most I have ever seen in any rental. One of our big issues was the fact that the house needed a good clean, there was dog hair everywhere (on all the furniture, rugs, and countertops). Another issue that cannot be corrected but is worth mentioning is the fact that this house is very close to businesses, the moving/backing up of trucks all night and early morning did become annoying. Overall, the house is very beautiful and made for a great vacation.

Every amenity you can think of! This house is loaded with towels, tons of kitchen items for the chef of the group! The house is gorgeous with two masters wit bathrooms an upgraded kitchen. The pool and ground are so pretty and management is there whenever you need them. Check in super easy. Will stay here again!!!

This property is absolutely amazing!!!! It was exactly as the ad described it plus more. My family & I enjoyed every minute in the Keys & we're already booking a stay for next year! In this same house. Wonderful experience! 💯

Perfect is an understatement. The pool, the ice machine, the rolling coolers, the beautiful landscape made for perfect pictures, and the canal with the lights the owners thought of EVERYTHING for a perfect vacation. The kitchen has everything you could dream of needing and more! The bathrooms with the rain shower heads were dreamy! The sweet owners were a delight to work with. I promise this place will not disappoint!

My family and I absolutely loved everything about this house and the location. It’s exactly as described! Pool is fantastic and the dock is great place to launch paddle boards.

We actually stayed in this property 3 years ago so we were familiar with the property. We loved the house. The only complaint is the towels and shirt are old and need to be replaced. Towels feel crunchy and are discolored. Everything else was great.

The house was beautiful!!! Loved having our own pool! The location was ok, but other than that, nothing to really complain about. Pretty much everything you need is at the house, and ice machine was awesome!!!!!

House was fully equipped, everything in good working order. Loved having the sparkling pool all to ourselves. Enjoyed seeing the iguanas visiting while we were lounging around the pool.

The house was perfect. It had everything we needed. The heated pool was wonderful. We saw two manatees in the canal.

House and amenities were top of the line - this house had everything! We loved the location on the canal and also the pool provided hours of fun for kids and adults. We saw lots of fish, iguanas and manatees without having to leave the property. The only downfall on the house was the proximity to the strip mall; you could hear the reversing mail trucks and garbage trucks early most mornings. With that being said, the early mornings did not stop us from having a great week away.

Very nice but the location is in a very old neighborhood. I would stay regardless because the amenities were awesome!!

Incredibly stunning! All upgrades possible were installed in this house! Immaculate kitchen, bed/linens heavenly, beautiful decor, 70’ dock practically brand new! We couldn’t be happier with any aspect of our stay and can only say this will be our “TO-GO” in the Keys! Just FABULOUS!!!!! Thank you! ♥️

Conveniently located and completely updated property with all the amenities one could want in a fishing retreat or for a fun family weekend. It was a beautiful place we had a wonderful time.

The house was a very nice stay. Kitchen was a good size, all three bathrooms were very nice, Beds were comfortable, ceiling fans worked great throughout the house giving you many fan speeds, living room tv had a great surround sound, pool was a good size and kept at a good temperature, the back yard had great privacy and dock was nice with a canal light. To top it off the ice maker worked great and saved us money. Enjoy our stay. Thank you

The house was good but they have five cameras over the pool which we hated!!!!! I mean one camera okay but 5 over the same area??? wth??? It felt like perverts were watching us the whole time!! Then they do not answer any of the numbers they give you to contact!! Not even the emergency number!!! And they showed up to have us move our vehicles for them to deliver concrete board from home depot into the carport Saturday at 6 AM which I found EXTREMELY RUDE!!!!! The house it self was nice and the pool was nice. The no wake zone is a killer!! It took us over 30 minutes extra in and out everyday but having the dock was really nice. They have a cleaning station but the hose wont reach it which was pretty annoying. The Ice machine was AWESOME!! Its super nice to have. No complaints inside at all. It was very comfortable. Parking was great.

Overall excellent house with upscale appliances and bathrooms Beautiful pool with a cooler so it was actually refreshing to take a swim. Nice dock on the canal and a beast of an ice maker kept the coolers cold. Only ding I would give the place is the location. You are kind of overlooking the back of businesses on Hwy 1. That really is the only negative and you really don’t notice it much with the beautiful mature hedges and palm trees. Management company was great also. Would have done 4.5 stars instead of 4 but that wasn’t an option.

What a wonderful time had by all. The house is above and beyond perfect. The kitchen is a dream. The pool is a good size. The canal setting beautiful. Manatees, iguana and cool selection of birds and fish. We will definitely return to this home!!

This house was perfect for our vacation, the two master suites were especially appreciated. It was evident that the owners took a lot of time making sure that the house was well stocked with kitchen appliances, dishes and various kitchen utensils. The outside was awesome! The fishing dock, pool, vegetation and ice maker made it a very relaxing location - we spent a lot of time right at the home versus going to local beaches. We would definitely choose this property again.

Casa Iguana has all amenities. The only thing NOT provided at house was a boat and guys were able to rent one just a few blocks away. We enjoyed a morning walk to Sombrero Beach on wide sidewalks with pretty homes to look at nice park at beach to visit before turning around for 2.3 mile walk back to house.. But what I like most was the privacy of the pool and the tropical breeze rustling the lovely landscape. The only problem that came up is the trash and mail trucks come early and they wake some sleepers.

We were 2 families with small children. The pool was perfect and our kids swam all day. It has a large shallow ledge making it ideal for kids under 4 and the deepest part was probably around 5 ft so my 6 and 9 y/o loved it. The pool heater made swimming in the early morning and evening lovely. In late December/early January the weather was in the high 70's low 80's every day. It rained some but the sun shined right after. The fish light in the canal was a lot of fun. We didn't have a boat but could see how easily the house would accommodate one. The property manager was easy to get in touch with and responded quickly; however, didn't resolve the issues we had (the twin air mattresses both had holes and the door handle on the main door was broken but still locked so wasn't a huge issue). I wish the kitchen had a few more things like a salad spinner and a hand held lemon juicer but overall it was great. The house itself was clean and bright. It was well stocked with bed linen, towels and glassware. It is walking distance to restaurants, Publix, Walgreens, a deli, liquor stores, etc. Sombrero beach is about a 6 minute drive. We were told it was rebuilt after Irma. It has a clean sandy beach, covered picnic areas, a large playground and bathrooms. We were going to drive to Big Pine Key but were told the beach was still being worked on so we just stayed close to home. The neighborhood was quiet and all of the people we talked to were friendly and helpful. We all loved it and would definitely come back.

Love the dual master suites. High end appliances including outdoor grill worked perfect. Nice boat dock to fish from to entertain the kids and of course dock the boat during our stay. Overall great stay. Ps. The ice machine was icing on the cake! Nice touch.
