Great slope access

We enjoyed the Slopeside cabin so much!!! The hot tub was wonderful!! There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own privacy.

We really enjoyed staying here! Right next to the Salamander slope making it super convenient for ski in/out. Communication with the owner/rep was excellent!

The house was perfect for our needs. Great location. We even got some snow while there which made it even more magical.

This house was perfectly laid out for our group of friends. Bedrooms with comfy beds above and below the main gathering level, which had many windows to view the slopes/Mother Nature. Rooms on first floor stayed rather cool, while rooms on top floor were rather warm. Spacious kitchen for group cooking, dining table easily accommodated 8, comfy couches and chairs. Owners very responsive. We had a lovely time.

We had a group of 11 stay this past weekend and it was amazing! Very spacious and clean. The hot tub was well functioning and clean. The master bedroom was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The hosts were great with communication and very accommodating. Would definitely stay again!

Nice slope side cabin for our annual motorcycle trip through the WV twisties. Plenty of room in the cabin and the hot tub was perfect after the rides. The garage is converted into a game room so keep that in mind if you're sensitive about your bike being in the weather.

This was a very clean and comfortable home. Served as a great base of operations for lots of outdoor activities!

This house is beautiful and perfect for a long family vacation or a couple enjoying a long weekend! The location is great for hiking in the off winter season and just as perfect for out the door skiing. The house has pretty much anything you could want. Absolutely the cleanest house we have stayed in at Canaan, and we have stayed in over 20 rentals there over the years. Hot tub is the best experienced! We had a wonderful time and we will absolutely return to this beautiful home! Also, the owner David even called to check on us during our stay and offer a discount to stay an additional day. Above and beyond the best stay EVER! Definitely don’t pass this gem up!!

This cabin is absolutely beautiful and worked perfectly for my family.We had 6 adults and 4 children ages 3-12 and we all had the best time.This cabin is situated in such a beautiful area it's very quiet and peaceful with so many opportunities to hike We hiked every day and saw some beautiful waterfalls.I booked this property not only because it's beauty but because booking it and communication was a breeze.I worked with David mostly and he is just the most friendly and easy going guy he's very helpful and wanted to make sure we didn't need anything.we are hoping to be back next year! Thanks again David for sharing your home with us I cannot say enough good things

Was a great house that we enjoyed! Hot tub was clean and enjoyable! It is literally up off of Timberline Ski slope, so thank goodness for GPS to get us there! The only bad is you have to take your garage with you and throw it in a dumpster a couple of miles away! But, overall Great stay.

We had a small delay in being able to get into the property due to a technology issue out of the owner’s control and even thought it was extremely late at night, the owners were able to help us get into the property and followed up several times during our stay to make sure that everything was okay. The property is also great!

I wanted my grandchild to hike the Canaan valley like I did when I was young for the memories. West Virginia does not disappoint. World class hiking right next to the Ski Chalet we rented. Beautiful place with views from every window. If you like the outdoors and horseback riding and county walks- this is your place!

The 14 members of my family and I take a vacation somewhere every other year. In 2023 we selected the Cannan Valley, West Va. We stayed vrbo's Mountain Near House on Timberline Mountain, a local ski area. The accommodations were excellent and there was plenty to do even in the summer.

This was a great location for a ski house. The pace was spacious and accommodated our needs. We needed to use the extra heater in the basement rooms which slept 5 people. The garage door didn’t offer much insulation. The living room space was wonderful and the view of salamander trail and merge was fun to watch skiers and easy to get on/ off. The linens were clean and towels plentiful and handy comin fin from the hot tub. A few comments- the place could use a deep clean and update-we found chocolate wrappers under the coffee table on arrival and mold spots in some areas on ceilings. Good for a short weekend visit.

What an awesome place! Can’t wait to go back next year! Loved the location of the house! Ski in/ski out was beautiful! Highly recommend! But not when I wanna go😜

We had a great time!

It was a beautiful house and place to vacation, right beside the ski slope. If you like skiing or snow boarding it's right there.

Place was very clean and comfortable. Nice getaway for our friends. We like to sit around and get caught up on families. Local towns were fun with small town restaurants and food was delicious.

I lost the email for check in. When we got there they replied right away and we got in. House was perfect for our family and the hot tub was great for the trip. Great location to a lot of hiking. Property was well stocked for cooking all of our meals. Would definitely rent again if we came back to West Virginia thank you so much for the use of your incredible house!

Our family really enjoyed this property. The bedrooms and were layed out perfectly. My brother and sister in law shared the jack and Jil bathroom/bedroom with their kids. The basement had more than enough space for my sister in law and I enjoyed the 3rd upstairs bedroom. The kitchen was more than stocked with cookware and utensils. The towel holder near the door for the hot tub was so easy for the kids. I would recommend this place to anyone needing space for multiple couples or families. We hope to stay here again.

The house and property are spectacular. We had a wonderful time. There are so many State Parks in a 7 minute range, so there is so much to do. Mountain Trails is close by for horseback riding. The house itself offers many things to do or just relax in the hot tub!
