Beautiful view. Enjoyed our stay!!

Wonderful view of the ocean, easy short walk to the beach and San Clemente pier. Great location for attractions in the area. Property is on the third floor, access only by stairs. Property manager was superb with guidance and answers to any questions we had.

I will start by saying that the view was fabulous! The rental had several things lacking… No instruction book/trouble using the TV/the coffee maker did not work well or turn off, very few dishes etc. in the kitchen/The Wind opener did not work, and the carpet is very old and worn

The property is in a stunning location with rooftop views that are unmatched. The unit has everything you could need to enjoy time with your family and just a short walk to the beach in San Clemente. Host was great and available at any time. Would definately love to return!

We just had another great stay at the Castle. The location cannot be beat and the views are tremendous.

Lorraine was wonderful, helped us find good restaurants and with transportation. The condo is great! Only thing we had a problem with was the stairs going to the condo. Kind of steep for our old bodies. Beautiful view from the large living room windows! Patio is great :-)

What a beautiful condo! The view is spectacular and the couch may be the most comfortable of all time! Plus a gorgeous sunset over the ocean every night. There’s plenty of restaurants and a grocery store right nearby. This place set our VRBO standards high!

Lorraine made things so easy for us and no issues at all getting into the property or during our stay. The apartment was just as advertised, very clean and location was great. We had a fantastic vacation in San Clemente and would definitely recommend this property.

Very impressed with the "home" and how comfortable, clean, and beautifully amazing design. Although we did, we did not have to bring much because Lorraine had everything there with a complete kitchen. We had a minor trouble and Lorraine within 30 minutes had Rocky a pleasant and prepared repairman completely fix the trouble quickly and efficiently. We make it a point almost yearly to go to San Clemente making other accommodations in the area, but this was classy and relaxing. It made leaving this time very hard.

The views from the castle are fantastic; worth the climb! The apartment was well-equipped and comfortable for our family, and the location was great. We enjoyed our stay very much! Check in and check out were easy and efficient. Thanks Lorraine for a great stay!

FROM THE TIME YOU WALK IN THE FRONT DOOR, YOUR ARE IMMEDIATELY DRAWN TO THE BEAUTIFUL, UNOBSTRUCTED OCEAN VIEW! IT IS A CHARMING PLACE. I WOULD DEFINITELY RENT THIS APARTMENT AGAIN!

We had a wonderful week-long vacation right next to the beach. Unit was as described. Appreciated having a baby feeding chair and crib to use as well as extra twin bed. Watching the sunset from the deck was a delight and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay.

The house was incredible! Very clean, very close to the beach, the pier, and very close to the shops and restaurants. The house itself was wonderful. Very clean and beautifully decorated. The views were incredible!! We enjoyed sunsets on the deck, watching dolphins and surfers from the living room, and watching the ocean and the pier morning noon and night. The neighbors were so friendly and helpful. If you are thinking about staying here, do it. It’s amazing!! We will be back again!! An absolutely amazing vacation! Thank you!!

This condo is beautifully decorated with comfortable beds and many amenities. The views of the ocean from living room and bedroom are amazing. Check-in was smooth and the condo was impeccably clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This place is a gem. Yes there are stairs but the trade off is so worth it! Trust me. You are able to see the ocean, the pier and any fish that happen to swim by. Loved every minute of it. Thank you Loraine!

Wonderful property perfect for our needs. Located quite near the San Clemente beach and pier. Clean and fresh property with nice beach style decor. Amazing sinset views from bay windows and from roof top deck. Well appointed kitchen. For a well populated area, very quiet neighborhood. Easy access to nice dining options and coffee shops.

Had a great second stay at The Castle. The Patio is such a relaxing place to hang out, unwind, and watch the sunset. Other unit owners are so friendly and helpful and always make you feel at home. Already looking forward to our next stay!

This was our first time renting the Castle penthouse and in short, we loved it. The unit was well stocked with all the necessary supplies and I was even surprised to be able to use a brand new Charbroil gas BBQ, which worked flawlessly. We spent many mornings, afternoons and evenings on the deck/patio enjoying the view of Dana Point and Catalina Island. We liked the place so much we ended up booking it again next year before we even finished up our vacation. Great communication from Lorraine and the location is darn near perfect. 5 star rating!

As other reviewers have noted, the view from this property is just stunning (all the steps to the top level are totally worth it!). There are multiples places and windows with beautiful water views, and it’s a perfect location to watch sunset. With doors and windows open, there is a lovely cross breeze that keeps the unit very cool during the day. I did use the air conditioning at night to cool off the bedrooms. I particularly liked this property’s location; it’s so close to all the beach and pier action, yet it’s a very quiet street (probably because it’s one-way and has limited street parking). Lorraine met me when I arrived and showed me around which was very helpful, and she was very responsive through the booking period and my stay. She has beautiful succulents throughout the property which I also enjoyed. I parked my car in the designated garage as my son was arriving later and planned to park in front of the garage door. Just know that the garage will only accommodate a small car (mine is a Honda Civic). Most of the streets in San Clemente are hilly, so you will get a good workout!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit at Lorraine’s place. The view of the ocean is utterly amazing. We could also hear the ocean from the porch and our bedroom. We also loved being walking distance to the beach. It was also handy to have garage and driveway access since parking is tight in the area. There are lots of stairs to the unit so people should be aware. Lorraine’s communication was very easy.

Walking distance to the pier and bike path. Loved the view of the ocean. We woke up to the gorgeous ocean everyday and watched the sunset every night. The roof top deck was perfect. Beautiful plant life everywhere on the property. The neighborhood is adorable and so friendly. The place is actually more beautiful than the pictures!!

We had a lovely stay at this apartment. The apartment is very nice, although there are a lot of stairs as it is the penthouse. We would definitely rent it again

We loved our home away from home in San Clemente so much that it was hard to come back to our real home. The first thing that'll jump out at you is the sweeping ocean view, which you can see from the living/dining/kitchen, and from the private rooftop terrace outside the sliding doors. You can even see the ocean from the kitchen window when you are standing at the sink. I stopped and caught my breath when we first entered and got our first glimpse of the view, and I had a repeat reaction when I came out of the bedroom on our first morning. The beach is an easy walk (5 minutes or so), but we often enjoyed the sights and sounds of the ocean from our own terrace, from which you can easily view the audible rolling waves, the surfers, and even spot dolphins. Since the morning weather was a bit chilly in early April, we started each morning gazing out of the large corner windows in the living area sipping a cup coffee.Lorraine and Connie are attentive to details, and we were impressed when we arrived by how meticulously clean the unit was and how tastefully it was furnished. The king-size bed in the master was comfy, the bath towels were soft and fluffy, full-to-the-brim soap dispensers sat on every sink as well as bar soap, shampoo, dish soap, plenty of paper products, and even candles (tea lights inside and a pillar candle centerpiece on the terrace), which gave us a homey ambience while we were chilling out with the evening light falling over the ocean.One other thing we liked is that this unit is the only top-floor unit in the building, so there are no shared walls, no neighboring terraces, etc. For parking , my Mazda3 fit fine in the garage. but there wasn't a lot of room to spare. If you have a large vehicle, you may need to plan on parking in front of the garage, which is also included as designated parking for the unit.When you book your stay, Lorraine will communicate with you at a couple of intervals with information, including a rental agreement that looks like an abbreviated lease and details just about everything about the place, what's included, rental terms, etc. It's a detail that isn't done by most VRBO and AirBnB rentals. At booking time as well as before and during our stay, Lorraine communicated well and responded quickly.We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.
