Cottage with both Creek & Ocean Views, steps to the Village
Capitola vive al meglio! Soggiorna nel cuore del villaggio con vista sull'oceano e sul torrente. Goditi una passeggiata a meno di un isolato da Capitola Beach, ristoranti e negozi. Questo delizioso cottage sul lungomare si trova a pochi passi da Soquel Creek, dal "fiume" e da una fuga privata sul giardino sul lungomare. Completamente arredato, il cottage offre una camera da letto e un bagno e un letto Murphy nel soggiorno. C'è una cucina completa, zona pranzo e terrazza. Lavatrice / asciugatrice sono in garage. Gli ospiti possono parcheggiare una macchina sul lato sinistro del garage e una al centro del posto auto coperto sulla strada dietro di essa. Rilassati sul "fiume" o passeggia per il villaggio o la spiaggia. Il ristorante Shadowbrook e molti altri preferiti si trovano nelle vicinanze. Negozi di alimentari, banche ecc. Sono a circa 1/2 miglio di distanza. Sentiti libero di chiedere a Janet, il gestore della proprietà, un tour di Capitola.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful spot in Capitola. It is steps away from restaurants, shops, and the beach. The weather was just perfect and the view from the living room, or from the outdoor area, was so beautiful and relaxing. The house was nicely decorated and set up with everything we needed. The location was also the perfect jumping-off point for many adventures around Monterey Bay. Just wonderful.

Its all so comfortable except the bathroom. The toilet is old and the shower is very small. The kitchen is well equipped and the bedroom iscomfortable. Love the murphy bed

Locations is tops! From the deck you can enjoy the Soquel Creek or in a distance the beach and ocean, plus it’s only a very short walk to town. Everything was fine, except owner needs to put a shade on the window by the table in the living room/eating area as this is also where the murphy bed is located. Highly recommend this cute one bedroom one bath historical home.

This is the third time we have stayed in this delightful cabin on the river. This quaint cottage brings back my days of visiting Capitola in the 60’s. It’s right on the river, a few houses from the bridge. You can enjoy the river view, the ocean view with a touch of the colorful Venetian, and be steps away from the village. This is by far our favorite stay as we relax on the deck and interact with the passerby’s as they trek to the beach. Of course we have to take the free antique taxi to Shadowbrook for a magical date at this famous restaurant. Be sure to take the funicular down to the restaurant for an extra treat.
The cottage has all the amenities that you need to make your own dinners as well as wifi and tv. And of course Capitola is close to Santa Cruz as well as many other attractions in this area. A gem of a place!!

Clean, well-provisioned, perfectly located (5 min. walk to beach/shops). Parking included is a big plus. Owner and host both pleasant/helpful. Check-in botched due to travel plans of host. Consider it a one-off. Refund given to compensate.

My friend and I were so pleased with this adorable cottage right on the river and with a view of the ocean waves. The bedroom was roomy with comfy bed. The pull down murphy was spacious and very comfortable. Capitola village was bursting with charm and the residents were fun and friendly. Manager is wonderful! I highly recommend this property.

I loved this cabin! You couldn’t ask for a better location. Beautiful view of the river and beach, right in the village with a fun neighborhood vibe. The cabin is perfectly stocked, very comfortable and clean. Janet was easy to do business work and very accommodating. I’m a local and will definitely rent this cabin again. Very special.

We love this darling cottage on the river. So much fun to talk with the travelers along the trail. Close to all in the village and great taxi to shadowbrook! Love the whole experience.

We had a very comfortable time in this 1915 cottage. Sitting by the window seeing the rage of the creek during the rains were exiting.

Loved the quaint cabin on the river. There was always something happening on the river and we loved sitting our on the patio each night. The birds were so much fun to watch- herons, egrets and of course ducks and gulls.

A delightful cottage experience,
My husband and I just spent 7 wonderful days in this charming cottage on the river. It was steps away from the quaint town of Capitola and the beach, while also giving a sense of seclusion on the River. The cottage has a deck with two wicker rockers where we spent a great amount of time. My husband loved talking to all the people walking along the path to the beach. There is also a little private yard with a picnic table and a swing in front of the walking path which is right on the water. The cottage is old school Capitola and has been charmingly updated. The kitchen has all the amenities you would need to prepare your meals, although we loved going to all the restaurants and especially the Polar Bear ice cream shop! The bathroom is very small, but certainly adequate for showers. We are already planning another stay at this seaside gem.

Wonderful stay in Capitola
Spent 9 nights in the cute cabin. Used the creek area lots and had BBQs. Can’t wait for our next trip to the area. We will be booking for sure again. Great location for shopping and restaurants plus the beach is very close. It was very busy area during the Memorial Day weekend and week following.

Fabulous Location. Easy communication with property manager...very responsive. Walk to beach, shops, restaurants, etc. Parking for one car in carport. Hard to fit car in the garage space. Lovely peaceful view of Soquel Creek.

The cottage is in a great location, right on the river and an easy walk to Capitola. It was nice inside – clean and plenty of room for one or two people. Janet was great and made me feel welcome. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed 3 weeks, close to my family in Aptos. Serene setting on the canal, near the ocean and restaurants, and Polar Bear Ice Cream!

Best Place Ever!!
We absolutely loved everything about this cottage! It's beautiful inside and out, with plenty of space to relax and chill out, either inside or out on the gorgeous riverside patio. The kitchen is well stocked and the bed is super comfortable. And the village of Capitola is just steps away. What more could anyone want?

Charming riverfront cottage!
I have been a fan of Capitola for over forty years, and have always wanted to vacation at one of the Riverview Avenue cottages, and I was not disappointed.! This is a charming vacation getaway, with a great porch and also a garden area overlooking the river. From beginning to end, my stay was delightful, and I look forward to a return visit before long.

Another amazing stay at The River To Sea Bungalow
So glad we could return and have a nice long stay at our favorite place in Capitola, The River to Sea bungalow is amazing on many levels it’s proximity to the village, the nice Soquel Creekside setting, and the access to numerous world class surf breaks. This year, because of the COVID-19 crisis we relocated there to work remotely and it was a much needed escape and provided a beautiful reprise from The City.
