After a bit of confusion upon our arrival we had a great trip. Didn’t know how having 2 separate apartments would work out but it was fine. Most of our time when we weren’t enjoying the beach or the pools we all spent our time in the upstairs unit. Lower unit was just used for sleeping and the second fridge came in handy. Was nice to have the golf carts.

Location is awesome Minutes walk to the beach. Two golf carts--super handy. House was large-plenty of space to spread out. Homeowner was very easy to communicate with. House could use some updates but not a big deal. Plenty of hot water and laundry works great. We would stay again. Please note: there are extra fees--gate pass $30 USD, Gym pass $30 USD (nominal but good to know). Upstairs and Downstairs are separate units. Screened in porch is lovely. The community seemed very safe and the neighbours were all friendly.

Bugs reported by family, furniture needs some cleaning, downstairs area had no heat…unit showed an error.

The upstairs portion is a beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath with screened in patio. Downstairs appeared to be an addition. When you enter there’s 3 twin beds, no entryway just 3 twin beds as you walk in. The king size bed in the bedroom downstairs was horrible, it should really be replaced. We tried to sleep there the first couple of night so we didn’t have to climb stairs but just couldn’t sleep on it. Now let’s talk cleanliness or lack there of. I had white socks on and they were black within minutes of being downstairs. I opened the dishwasher downstairs to load some dishes and the smell was horrific. Not sure what happened there but once I ran it the smell went away. Makes me think someone spilled something in there and it sat for a very long time. The garbage outside was overflowing when we got there and stunk to high heaven. The upstairs was in much better condition however we did see roaches which may have come from the trash outside. The neighborhood was lovely. I would visit the area again but would choose a different house next time.

The house is in a great location only a few minutes walk to the beach, but who needs to walk to the beach when you have two golf carts that gets you there in 2 minutes. The golf carts is a great big plus no issues at all. Overall, the house was nice, we were initially disappointed that there wasn't a way to the downstairs apartment without going outside but it wasn't too much of an inconvenience. The two twin beds in the upstairs bedroom was disappointing, I had the idea to bring the two twin beds together but the room is so small that the door doesn't even open all the way, so bringing them together to make a king wasn't an option maybe two of the three twins downstairs would have worked but we were staying upstairs. It would have been nice to have a full-length mirror in the house. Dorothy was an awesome host; we had a couple of issues, but Dorothy handled each one promptly. There was even an after-hour emergency, but she had someone out there that evening to fix the issue and even had her cleaning lady to come in the next morning to do some cleaning. The hot water is endless we had the washing machine, and the dish washer running and still had plenty of hot water for all 6 of us to take showers. Dorothy even had a propane tank delivered for the grill. For the money it was really nice! We enjoyed our stay! I would recommend this house!

Our Second year in a Row at this house. The house location is wonderful. With a short walk or quick cart ride to the Beach. The Owner is so easy to communicate with. Thanks for having us again. For our Family Vacation. We Highly Recommend.

Overall Dorothy was very pleasant and easy to talk to. However, she was neglectful to sign up our cars and register us in time, resulting in us being unable to use the beach, hot tubs, pools, and other amenities for the beginning of our stay. We also have great difficulties with the golf carts holding a charge. This resulted in us not being able to use them to get back and forth from the beach and pools as advertised. My mother was handicapped, so we were hoping to hold cart around, but that wasn’t the case. It was a shame that we paid so much for golf carts, beaches, and pools and were unable to access as advertised. Dorothy attempted to help the situation, but the amount of money we paid, her help was not worth that price.

The home worked well for our family. Everything that we needed was available for our use. The owner is easy to communicate with.

Had a couple of issues that she responded to immediately. The unit is in a great location. Less than a 5 minute walk to beach and quick drive to shops and attractions. Some of the appliances need updated and the shower doors on the second floor are challenging but for the price and a super responsive owner and killer location you will love it.

*** TAKE NEGATIVE REVIEWS WITH A GRAIN OF SAND *** Our family (five adults and two dogs) visited for a week. It was our first time to Myrtle Beach and we didn't know what to expect. Fortunately, Karen was helpful and responsive during the booking process - answering all our questions quickly. Most importantly we wanted to review to ensure that Karen and the property were given an honest review. 1. The instructions and process for getting into the community was simple and straight forward. 2. The property was as clean as can be expected for a house right next to a beach. IT WAS NOT DIRTY. There was no sand in the couches. No lice or bugs in any of the beds. No mold on the walls in the bathroom. 3. The golf carts worked fine (tho one worked better than the other). We were able to get around without any issues. 4. The AC units worked fine. The remotes did take a bit of getting used to - however we were able to cool both upstairs and downstairs. Some things that we would recommend other renters simply be aware of: * The outdoor furniture isn't new and it likely isn't clean (unless the prior renters cleaned it). We brought our own beach furniture so that we had what we wanted. * It is a rental near the beach. Sand is inevitable. We swept and cleaned the floors every day - because it was impossible to not bring in sand from the beach. We became very understanding of how challenging it must be to clean the property. * The property did have towels - which we used for showers. We used our own beach towels as we weren't sure of what to expect for beach stuff. * Pets are allowed, and therefore it is possible that there are pet smells in parts of the house. I'm particularly sensitive to cats and the downstairs kitchen had a faint cat smell - just near the outside door. TL;DR - all in all we enjoyed our stay and we were happy with the property. For the amount of space, proximity to the beach, and ability to have pets, it was a great place to stay.

Our Family has. Been Vacationing in The MB area for over 25 Years. And this was definitely one of the best rental experiences we’ve ever had. Great Location with an Easy walk or short Cart Ride. To the Beach. And the house has plenty of room and in Wonderful Condition You won’t regret renting this one.

The house was dirty. Electrical outlet didn’t work. Sinks and tubs didn’t drain well. Bugs. Bedroom off the kitchen had lice, luckily we Caught it early. Golf cart had no required sticker. Location gate/security people rude. Dryer doors feel like they are falling off.

My family has vacationed in this community for over 10 years with our grandparents down the street and we have NEVER had so many issues with a rental. With many many experiences renting properties, we understand that not everything will always be perfect. However...when the safety is a concern we were extremely unhappy and the cleanliness of the house was unacceptable! Pros: Location is amazing. AC worked great. Prompt response from owner. Cons: Multiple lose and not attached railings on the second floor balcony. This was found after my 2 year old grabbed on to one and it came off. When opening the stove door, the entire door fell off on me and bruised both of my legs. Mold on the walls of the bathroom. Very old rusty nail on the kitchen floor. DISGUSTING old underwear and mounds of sand found in the pull out couch. Old masks and piles of cigarette butts at the front door upon arrival. One of the golf carts would not start and we had a replacement for only the last two days. The house is not connected as a whole unit, it is actually two separate units that must be accessed via separate entrances. Not a deal breaker but should have been clarified on listing. The largest accumulation of lint in the dryer I have ever seen! I had a COCKROACH walk on top of my foot while talking to family. (I have never had issues with cockroaches at any of the other rentals in this neighborhood.). I had to trim the bushes at the bottom of the stairs so that we would not be hit in the face each time we walked through the entrance. Lastly, the entire place was just dirty. Many of the reviews have mentioned this and each time the owner has replied that it is a new company and she needs to switch. It does not seem that she is actually making a change to improve this issue. Note: The owner was prompt to respond when I reached out during our stay. She did help to fix some of the issues however, the problems we encountered should have never been an issue for the rate the property is rented and the question of safety being an issue. After leaving the property she was rude and unwilling to work with us regarding our stay. Do yourself a favor and keep looking....

Very close to the beach and easy access to the pools. The community was quiet and everyone was very kind. The use of the golf carts were great. There is a grocery store, ice cream and souvenir shopping close by. We used the golf carts to do most of our traveling. The only drawback from this house was the cleanliness. The cleaning crew cleaned right before we got there but the house was extremely dirty; floors, counters, shower. I would seriously consider using a different cleaning company.

Check in was very quick. House had plenty of room and close to the beach. Really nice screened in porch area upstairs. Having 2 golf carts was great with our family of 8. Did find a few cockroaches in the morning on the lower level but I understand this is normal near the beach. We had a great vacation at this house and would definitely stay again.

Great place for kids, pools were great, the golf carts were a life savor! And the private parking on the beach was perfect. The only down side to the house, the floors were filthy, our kids walked around with black feet! And there was no pantry or cabinet to put your food and snacks….

The property was lovely, especially the screened in porch. It would have been nice to know that the upstairs and downstairs were two separate units. It also would have been nice to have two keys for the upstairs unit and two got the downstairs unit.

I'm not certain where to start about this property. Upon arrival, check in was easy. Then downhill from there. The upper unit, which our daughter, son in law, and two children were. There were not enough bath towels, no hand towels, two wash clothes, one dish towel, & no beach towels, which were supposed to be included. Not a roll of paper or anything to clean up with. Lower unit, used by my husband & myself, had no beach towels, paper towel roll, dish towels. The ovens in both unit were filthy...looks like previous renters made pizzas on the racks & didn't clean up afterwards & the cleaning person(s) didn't clean up either. The silverware & utensil drawers were full of dirt & partially dirty silverware. We notified the owner to have the above taken care of. Whoever came to bring the towels & etc, also cleaned the oven racks in both units & shoved all the crumbs onto the kitchen floors! Upper unit: the A/C didn't work, the shower in the master was plugged & the shower door fell off. Upon going to bed, the FIRST night, our son in law encountered SAND in the bed as he got in! Were the sheets even changed before we got there? Our daughter washed a bunch of blankets she found in the bottom of a closet bc they were musty. The nights were cooler & blankets were needed. Beach chairs that were supplied were dirty & full of mildew. The night before we left, our daughter was checking under the edges of the boys beds...and found EMPTY mini alcohol bottles & all sorts of old food wrappers...left by previous renters!! The dryer vent hose from the wall to the dryer had about a garbage bag FULL of old lint. FIRE HAZARD!!!! These units, especially the upper unit, was a total MESS & needs a thorough cleaning before being rented out again!! On a more positive note, the location was ideal & the use of the golf carts were a nice touch!!

We loved the location, it was very close to the beach. Having the golf carts to use was great! Would stay here again.

Great location beautiful beach and community

We loved the location of this property being close to the beach but the BEST thing about it was having 2 golf carts- the pool was far away and the beach was 2 blocks so having the golf carts were wonderful. The only 3 complaints I have is the bathrooms had VERY rusted AC vents and we had a 1yr old new walking baby and his feet got rust on them several times, the upstairs living room furniture was very dirty, and please sharpen or get some new knives for the upstairs kitchen couldn’t find one sharp enough to cut a tomato. It was a good fit for our family

Had a great time at this house. Golf carts were a great asset to have. Close to the beach. House was clean and welcoming. Easy sign in process. Only negative was that we had 4 cars but only 2 could be parked at house. Had to move the other 2 to an overflow lot. Again, not a big deal but just a little inconvenient. Pool area was great. Have a 5 year old that loved both the splash pad area and the pool. Overall, great place to stay and would definitely stay again!
