Another wonderful time at this lovely home!

Very cute house and nice area to stay in. Enjoyed the lake and the dock my husband caught a 4 pound bass on a fly rod. He was extremely happy love that it was dog, friendly and easy for my old dog to walk the property overall a very pleasant experience.

As my son said when I sent him a photo from the deck, “Speaking as a lake scientist, I can say with certainty that (that) is a very pretty lake.” He’s right. Nice lake with a nice lake home. Location is great for hitting the area hiking highlights. Saw eagles flying over the lake - friendly neighbors - good place to stay. Thanks!

Everything was as shown, and we had a relaxed, enjoyable vacation. The view was spectacular, and we appreciated being able to dock our boat right in front of the property. This was an excellent choice.

We had such a relaxing time and the house was very nice. We would definitely stay here again.

Chose this property for its proximity to Ferne Clyffe, State Park . Lots of trails explored. Our grandchildren,six and eight, really loved the sand in the front of the house they even caught a little perch off the pier.

Beautiful clean home. Perfect size for my family of 6. Lots to do and you are able to rent the pontoon as well. The area is beautiful! We will definitely be booking again.

The property was very nice

Super cute lakeside. The house is exactly as pictured. I think it had the best view of the lake. My husband and I needed a quick getaway from the city, and this was perfect. Very peaceful and relaxing just staring out into what nature has to offer. Of course we went a week before a holiday weekend. Our furbabies also loved it.

The ONLY reasons why this isn’t a 1 star review is because they didn’t charge us anymore walking out the door. Biggest problem was the beds. They needed replaced a year ago or so. Very low quality to begin with. We ended up leaving a day early because we couldn’t take another night of it. From there its a laundry list of issues. The boat and kayaks were unavailable, I assume to be winterized. Understandable but no mention of it from the owners. The cleaning list was too extensive to get accomplished by a 1030 checkout time. A later checkin would have been better. The “quality” vacuums were not good or new. Still completely dirty from the last use. The first step on the stairs should be fixed or a sign installed to “Watch your step”. There is an extra 2 inches you don’t expect. The insulation in the kitchen window was done by a child. The floors are uneven. The bathroom sinks upstairs are made for people over 6 feet. The basement is made for people under 5’10”. The refrigerator needs replaced. The freezer took 3 full days to refreeze ice cream from the store. Their is rust in the freezer. The freezer doesn’t make it’s own ice. Ice cubes trays should be thrown away. The firewood left outside for our use was pointless and had been sitting there well over a year. The firepit and grill we filthy and not my job to clean. The only supplies left to us was 2 trash bags, one roll of paper towels, and salt. No spices whatsoever? The garbage disposal needed replaced. The toilet paper and hand soap is more than worthless. “Welcome to our house, enjoy our 1-ply toilet paper and watered down soap!!” We went out and bought both. I would guess that ever stick of furniture came from goodwill and the value of all the furniture in the house was $200 at most. The basement furniture was basically worthless wooden crates. The tv in the basement was useless. Was connected to a DVD player and that’s it. Fuzzie static. The listed could have mentioned to bring some DVD’s. We had a power outage the first day we were there. I sent a message to the owner and there was no response. The power came back in45 minutes.My wife thinks the neighbor still had power and the owners didn’t pay the bill. Is this the same rental price during the height of lake season? We were flexible, so we chose Sunday to Thursday to avoid higher fees during the weekend. This place wasn’t worth the price we paid. If it was $80 cheaper per day we might have been content.

We had an absolute wonderful time while we were there. We have four of us so we fit in the home fine and had plenty of room. They have a very nice layout that the pictures don't do justice for. It's a must see location. Very good location and scenic view! We went fishing right off the end of the walkout dock and caught tons of fish. Definitely fun if you're into fishing. We had a great Stay and the house, price and location I give 2 thumbs up! We will definitely be returning in the near future!

Great for a family trip!

Nice cabin on the lake. We played tag, went for boat rides, did some hiking at Giant City and enjoyed Southern Illinois!! Great time of the year to see the trees start changing colors and great weather. Thanks for a great get away!!

We love the lakefront house. This was our second time staying and enjoy the lake house very much. It’s perfect location on the lake and the house is great with a big family with plenty of beds and a separate living room down stairs . The house has everything you need. We rented the pontoon as well and all enjoyed two days on the lake together. We also brought our bass boat and had plenty of room at the dock and electric hookup is a bonus. They even had a locking bar for the sliding door downstairs so we didn’t need to worry about the little ones getting out without us. We had an amazing week.

Had an amazing July 4th at this property with my wife and 2 kids (22, and 21). Beautiful view right on the lake, very clean, and incredibly nice hosts. We also took advantage of the pontoon boat the owners offered to rent and had a blast out on the water for a day. Plenty of room for a family of 4 and would probably work for 6. Clean and comfy beds and all we needed to cook on our own for a BBQ, breakfast and dinner. I would recommend this property with confidence and hope to make it back sometime in the future.

Our kids & grandkids & us had an awesome time at this lovely lake home! The house was beautifully decorated, very clean, & had everything we needed & more - the outdoor deck, private dock & boathouse let us enjoy beautiful views, fishing, kayaking, & swimming. The hosts were wonderful & communication was excellent. We hope to come here again in the future! The Petersons

Very clean and quiet. We all slept 13 hours the first night in the fresh air! Kitchen was fully equipped and we cooked most days, so we could spend more time on the porch.

It was perfect for weekend getaway to relax and unplug!

I was super impressed with this rental property. It was very clean with a great use of space by the owner. It was just my husband and myself and our little Boston Terrier, so there was way more space than we needed. There was sleeping for nine people without anyone having to sleep on a couch. There were 2 complete couch/entertainment areas, which is so nice if you have a large group. The dock was great for fishing, but the fishing was less than we expected. That of course not the owners fault. In October the lake was pretty quiet, so we just enjoyed that.
