There was nothing not to like, except not the best of weather . Scenery breathtaking, cottage spotlessly clean and friendly hosts that made you welcome.

Weather and Narrow lanes. Everything else was excellent.

Our stay was excellent, it far exceeded our expectations. Janice and Robert were excellent hosts, they didn't interfere at all which was a worry we had before getting there, but they were perfect. They live next door and they provided their mobile numbers in case we needed anything so were always available to help out should we need them. Everything was excellent from the facilities in the house to the view and the location, we couldn't have asked for more. The cleanliness as well is definitely worth mentioning! We were amazed at how clean everything was, we couldn't find a single spec of dust or dirt anywhere, this was very impressive given the tall ceilings and nature of the building. Value for money was particularly good as well. We are already considering going back we enjoyed it that much!

The location whereas it is beautiful it is a bit of a challenge to get to. This is obviously not something that can be changed so it hasn't effected our opinion of the place at all, we still had a lovely time and would recommend to anyone to stay here, it's just something to be aware of. The roads are challenging and the location is fairly remote being that it is a 15 minute drive from the nearest shop. This is perfect if you want a peaceful quiet and relaxing stay with an incredible view across the Dartmoor, but maybe not the best if you're planning to walk to the nearest amenities as this isn't really possible. If you are a relatively confident/careful driver who is happy with everything above then it is the perfect place to spend some time away. The pictures do not do it justice. Sitting in front of the wood burner enjoying the evening and then waking up to open the curtains to see the amazing view, it's the perfect way to spend a week. Highly recommended!

It was perfect! We had the most peaceful tranquil break. The place is spotless. Janice and Rob had thought of everything. A most welcoming bottle of wine and a chocolate bar waiting for us. The log burner with a basket full of logs was the icing on the cake. Thank you.
