Had such a great time at this farm, in Clayton, and Long Creek. We especially appreciated how the kitchen was stocked w pot/pans/utensils. And so much fun seeing the animals. Highly recommend.

What a hidden gem! On a gorgeous piece of property, this house feels remote yet is a quick drive to downtown Clayton. The home and views are even better than the VRBO listing photos. There are plenty of places for large groups to gather whether in the kitchen, dining room, or enormous porch with expansive views of the mountains. The host was an excellent communicator and was so kind to allow our group to check in early! We can’t wait to return!

We enjoyed every moment of our experience, and the views were stunning. It was a calm and soothing experience, and my kids took great delight in feeding the cows some grass. The neighbors were friendly and hospitable, allowing my children to hold their chicken, which was thrilling for them. Carol was prompt in addressing any queries or concerns I had. And, the house was well-equipped with all the essentials. We had a wonderful weekend getaway! I would definitely recommend this place and return in the future. This getaway is a must for nature enthusiasts.

My family came to this property to celebrate my mother’s birthday. We were blown away! This house and property had everything you could possibly need. The house was beautiful and well done. The property was a gem! Farm animals and views cannot be described in words or with photos. We will visit again in the future. My daughter will never forget this experience. She is only 5 and loved the gentle animals.

We had a blast! Mostly because of the company - 7 schoolmates from the 70's. But the accommodations were in creditable! I felt so at home! And if we forgot anything, we just had to open a cabinet and find it. So much room and VERY wheelchair accessible...thank you! Everything worked and great instructions! Great shops in Clayton and we drove over to Dillard and to Lake Rabun. Great 4 day weekend!

Just the perfect getaway location. Waking up each morning to the magnificent sunrise peaking over the mountains is to die for. Love the cabin so much and would recommend to anyone needing to disconnect and recenter themselves.

Wow. Where do I begin? This cabin/ property/owner is a 10/10. Carol provided the best communication. Instructions made the home so easy to find. We absolutely loved staying here. The moment my family and I stepped into the home we said " we feel right at home". It is very quiet and private. Every day we walked down to say hello to the animals. I just felt such at peace staying here. We actually wanted to extend our stay but decided we will just plan another trip. We met a lovely neighbor named Lori. She brought us fresh eggs straight from the farm. I have rented over 25 cabins, and this was by far the BEST. It makes you feel like you are experiencing the show Yellowstone. Fresh air, Mountain views, animals, a sense of peace. I can't wait to return. Thank you so much Carol for allowing us to stay at your beautiful home.

We had a couple hiccups initially with the TV and internet but Carol was extremely attentive and with the help of her neighbor Todd, everything worked out great. The property itself was wonderful and the view was just something we could have stared at all day. Don't miss the sunrise! We all loved our visit and we're already planning our return.

One of the nicest, most well appointed VRBO's we've stayed at, by far! The kitchen is well equipped, has modern appliances and LOTS of room. The view from the porch is nothing short of breathtaking....do NOT miss the sunrise, as it is absolutely stunning. Carol was awesome....responsive and accommodating. Can't say enough about this place. It was a wonderful stay!

Our family of 11 (2 adults, 9 kids between infant-age 14) enjoyed our stay on this property. The property manager was extremely responsive and helpful. There was plenty of space and beds for all, and the cabin was well stocked with the essentials (toilet paper, trash bags, laundry and dish detergent, kitchen supplies, etc.). We did Walmart curbside pickup for our groceries, which was extremely convenient with Walmart just 10 minutes down the road. The kids enjoyed petting the friendly animals (especially the pigs!) and watching the cows and wild turkeys out in the pasture. The sunrise view from the back porch is worth waking up early to see! Lots of activities within driving distance, including whitewater rafting on the Chatooga (ages 12+) less than 15 minutes down the road.

This was one of the most private and beautiful cabins I've had the pleasure to stay at. The home was cozy and the view was breathtaking. An added bonus was the farms animals located near the property, which me and my guests all had the pleasure of petting. Would definitely stay again!

The property was just as nice as advertised. We had no surprises and that's not a small thing. The property managers went out of their way to make our stay a good one. Small details like instructions on how to use the TV, how to get online, etc. may seem insignificant but can really make all the difference. Next year when we need a place to stay, we will definitely try to book the Mountain Creek Lodge.

This property was great. It was even better than the description. The working farm at the bottom of the hill was loved by all, especially the toddlers. We would return again in a heartbeat.

Our family enjoyed our stay. Loved kids being able to run around and see the dogs, chickens, pigs, cows, etc.. The wrap around porch was a hit as well. We would sit out there and enjoy the Mountain View in the rocking chairs. House was well stocked with everything you need, just bring your clothes and food.

Peaceful and magical.
We fell in love immediately with the cows, mini pigs, goats, and absolutely beautiful Great Pyrenees at the bottom of the hill! Sitting outdoors on the porch is breathtaking!
The owner is so kind and helpful. The little community there feels like "home". You are sure to enjoy!

Perfect location to be near all the fun things the area has to offer. Secluded enough that you feel like you are really away from it all. My kids loved the animals on the farm. The views were beautiful. Very thankful to have stayed here.

We really enjoyed our stay, and Carol was a wonderful host. The power went out for an hour or so due to a tree going down on a road nearby, and she was very responsive in reaching out to the local power company to inquire. We also had a lot of fun hanging out with the farm animals nextdoor!

Very homey and relaxing place. Plenty of room, well stocked kitchen and baths. Easy to get to, quite friendly neighborhood. The gem of this place is waking up before sunrise. Grab a cup of coffee and a rocking chair and take in the sunrise. It's worth getting up early for, believe me.

We had a a wonderful time! This property is even more beautiful than the online pictures! It is so spacious and well stocked with anything and everything to make sure you have the perfect stay! It very comfortably housed 10 people and could have house more! The beds are extremely comfortable, too and it has two washers and dryers fro your convenience. The view is amazing from the huge deck/porch and the road to get there is paved and an easy drive to Clayton in under 10 minutes. Clayton has some amazing restaurants, shops and we enjoyed white water rafting and zip-lining within 20-30 minutes and also Tallulah Gorge ans Toccoa falls are close by as well! The perfect location while also feeling like you were out on the mountain by yourself. Absolutely LOVED this property! Thank you so much Carol for the easy checkin and check out process and being available for anything we might need!

Beautiful Views and Cabin
We enjoyed our stay here with family. It is very quiet and peaceful and we loved the view from inside and on the porch. The cabin has everything you need in the kitchen and a nice selection of games and puzzles and plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Easy communication with the owner as well. Quiet and Beautiful
This is my 6th consecutive year staying here. I have stayed in a lot of VRBO places over the years, and this is, by far, my favorite! Ms. Carol has always gone out of her way to ensure everything is perfect. The views from the front porch are spectacular, especially the sunrise each morning. The cabin itself is beautiful and very spacious. Each time we come here, it's like going home.

Another great experience at MCL
We do love our times at Mountain Creek Lodge! MCL is comfortable and well-appointed with a real personality of its own—no “blah designer” was involved in decorating here. We appreciate the personal touches that Carol has added and the trust she has placed in her guests to treat them with respect; MCL feels more like the home of a friend than a rental. Should you wish to explore the area, roads are good and many interesting shops, restaurants, and sites are nearby. We look forward to our next visit to the only place for us in the mountains: MCL.

Great Spring Break with Family
Mountain Creek Lodge was perfect for our spring break trip with family. The best part is the property, especially if you have dogs that love to be outside. We really enjoyed exploring the property with our kids and dogs. The views are beautiful! We loved that it is secluded but easy to get to grocery stores and restaurants. The house is very spacious with two very private bedrooms and a loft with lots of comfy beds. The living area and kitchen were great for us all to cook and spend time together. We had a great time and made lots of memories.

Best cabin trip!
I have nothing but good things to say about this cabin. The pictures do not do it justice! It seemed a lot bigger in person. My family of 5 (including a German shepherd) and another family of 3 stayed there. The kids loved the loft area especially, while the adults hung out on the huge porch or cozy living room. The kitchen is fully stocked with more than most rental properties. Plenty of firewood available, comfy couches, comfy beds, plenty of towels, loved Alexa! Oh, I know it seems weird, but I just LOVED all the command hooks all over the place! The host is amazing! Quick to respond and so helpful! Even let us have a late check out since there wasn’t anyone renting immediately. I loved loved the huge porch!!! Awesome view, plenty of rocking chairs, a hammock, swinging bench, and a nice picnic table! They even had a doggy food/water bowl on a placemat for my fur baby! I think my German Shepherd had the most fun there lol! Also, when we were there, there was a boil water advisory in effect in Rabun county, but luckily the property uses a well so that was great! The best part was the tankless water heater! There was a minor lady bug infestation, but in some cultures that is considered good luck. My kids had the best time collecting them and letting them go. We will definitely be coming back! Thank u Carol for making us feel at home while on vacation!

From Day break to Sun Set you will be amazed by the changing light and the beauty it creates on the mountain view. This is a spacious cabin and just full of beautiful furniture and folk art.
The kitchen is fully equipped and ready for any meal you would want to cook.

Amazing property & owner!!!! Highly recommend!!
My family takes an annual trip to the N. GA Mountains each year following Christmas. We have been looking at this particular cabin for several years but it was never available. This year, I booked it in January for a December stay, and thankfully, we were able to book it. It's a beautiful, spacious, luxurious cabin with amazing views! It was perfect for our family. We've been cramped in the past at numerous cabins, and that was far from the case this year. The owner couldn't have been more prompt with getting back to us, and was so kind to let us reschedule our dates when some of our family members contracted Covid. I can't say enough about this fantastic cabin and property, as well as the owner. I highly recommend this home to anyone looking to visit Northeast Georgia Mountains, and specifically Clayton!

Amazing View
My family and I gathered at Mountain Creek Lodge for our Christmas vacation. It was very comfortable had ample room for all of us together. They even had a Christmas tree decorated and lit when we arrived. We enjoyed our stay immensely.
