They let us do an early check in which was extremely helpful! The house is actually bigger than it looked in photos. It was the perfect house for 10 girls on my bachelorette. We loved having enough space in the living area for all of us to hangout. It didn’t feel cramped at all. The area is quiet and close enough to walk to Duvall in 15 minutes or take a $5 Uber. The boat slip was an added bonus - so nice to be picked up at our house for our boat day so we didn’t have to lug coolers to a different location. I have nothing bad to say about this house! I was worried about the house noise rules because… 10 girls, but it wasn’t a problem.

This home is located in a quieter neighborhood but convenient to the beaches and Duval street by bikes or walking. A golf cart would have been great on the hot windy afternoons too. There really wasn’t anything we couldn’t reach by bicycle within about 10-15 mins. We had a couple of maintenance issues and they came and fixed everything within an hour. Our family of six had an amazing time and all the house recommendations for activities were awesome!!

The house was perfect! Very spacious and well appointed with full baths and great open living space for our family. We have travelled to Key West for years. The location was close to everything and we thoroughly enjoyed the porches and pool. Our grandson even fished off of the dock every day. Perfect landing spot for our family to stay for the wedding week. 5 stars!

The place is very spacious for our group of nine. Nice location, very clean. Great place to stay if you have a boat, there’s a dock provided . The only complaint is the master bed squeak I’ve shared the bed with my mom, every time when of us go to the bathroom, it wakes up the other person.

We loved the Seafarer’s Refuge home! The house itself was spacious and comfortable, and the outdoor space and pool were wonderful. We had some minor issues which were dealt with promptly. The location is excellent, in a quiet residential neighborhood but easily walkable to town. There’s a nearby park which was excellent for the kids and tennis players in our group. We definitely would recommend this lovely place!

We could have walked to Duval Street, but would advise using an Uber or renting a golf cart to zip around town. We had a great experience at the house. Our first two days with the pool were upsetting. Upon entry to the house, the pool was filthy and cloudy. Management was notified and had a pool guy there the next morning. The pool remained unusable for an additional 24 hours until he came back out on day three. We did attempt to go in the pool on day two, the cleaner said it was safe despite the chemicals he dumped in but the kids skin began to become irritated. The pool was then safe on day three and we had no problems the rest of the week. We are unhappy that it took 3 days to be able to use the pool and think it should have been observed and taken care of prior to our arrival or at least been told it was being taken care of. We did rent a home specially with a pool as a preference. We understand things can go wrong but this was something that could have been prevented and caught prior to our arrival.

A group of us stayed at Seafarer's Refuge for our first trip to Key West. I can honestly say that I was impressed with everything! The staff at Key West Vacation Homes was more than accommodating and Seafarer's Refuge was everything and more! The video advertisement for the house is great. The house looks beautiful in the video and, if possible, it was nicer and more impressive in person! Very spacious, clean, in great shape. Floor plan was perfect. Large bedrooms and bathrooms. Very short walk to our dock. We rented a golf cart to get around in Key West. Definitely recommend renting a golf cart. There's plenty of parking at the house. Parking was easy in town (end of January). The pool was great, heated, clean! Perfect for night swims! Highly impressed with the staff at KWVH. Javier, Doug, Angela, and Victor were extremely responsive and attentive. The staff is very organized and great with communication. It was refreshing to work with a company who is committed to customer service! It was an easy check-in and check-out. I am really impressed with Key West Vacation Homes and Seafarer's Refuge and have already recommended them to others. Will return! Thank you!!!

Clean, comfortable home
The Seafarer's Refuge is a clean and comfortable home with a private backyard and pool. The home itself had all our group needed and communication with the rental team was always easy! The location is not great - very noisy air conditioning units at the back of the property, a busier street than we would have liked, adjacent to a busy marina. But, our stay was fine!

It was in a good location, we stayed from Mon- Sat morning and we were only home basically to sleep. Highly recommend the Mellow Cafe a few blocks away, and going on the Tiki bar boat at sunset.

Nice place
Stayed here for a buddy’s bachelors. It is a little bit of a walk away from that happening stuff on Duval Street, but overall it is a nice property. Wish they would have stocked it with some more paper towels and coffee, but it was overall a great weekend, nice small pool, fun times. Communication with the manager could be slightly better via email but they did seem friendly.

Property Needs Some Love & Attention
The family and I liked the size of the house and the location. The house was able to accommodate our family well and was in a quiet section of Key West. Great to have a couple parking spots and the pool area was clean. However, there were several issues with the house that overall made it a disappointing rental especially for the cost. The house is showing a lot of wear and tear. Main issues were: ice maker was not working, stove top was cracked, kitchen tiles are cracked, the washer leaks when washing clothes, lights were burned out (we bought and replaced bulbs), smoke detectors were beeping (bought and replaced batteries), shower heads were clogged, and downstairs furniture downstairs is worn. Also to us the beds were not very comfortable. The wife and I also had issues with battling bug bites in the master bedroom. Overall the condition of the house did not match the price we paid. If these issues are corrected this would be a great house to rent. Unfortunately for our stay we were disappointed.
