Despite my disappointment with the room the dinner was good, with a good choice of dishes.

On booking we had upgraded to an apartment with a balcony, with a view of the city. When we arrived there was some discussion between the staff before we were given our room key. The room was not an apartment nor did it have a balcony. Plus the toilet was leaking. One of the staff came up to fix the leak but told us we couldn't move rooms as they were full. I asked about the balcony and he said 'you have a window'. Our window faced another building with no view. There was no discussion about what had happened although I assume they'd given our superior room to someone else. I was very disappointed as it was our final stop of our trip. Also the 'free' breakfast was a glass of orange juice, a half tostada with a scraping of tomato and a slice of jamon. The coffee was not hot, just warm. All in all a disappointment.

This is a hotel located above a bar. The rooms are smaller, but cozy even if the equipment is older. Very good food and drinks are available in the bar. Breakfast was also included in the price, which was not very rich, but it was enough.

The room equipment was a bit old and the breakfast was not very rich.

Well maintained and up to date fixtures. The complimentary breakfast was welcomed too.

It all was pretty good but a mix up about if I had booked in (I had) resulted in a late night telephone call from the hostal. To be fair the proprietor was very apologetic after the mix-up was resolved.

A member of staff kindly gave a lift to one of our party, as there were no taxis to Hoya Gonzales. All staff very kind and helpful.

It was clean, the staff was friendly, and the restaurant is downstairs.
