My family enjoyed this home. We fished, crabbed and swam. The owner was very responsive and helpful. House was very well stocked as well.

This was our second time staying at Du Casa. We had stayed during the winter (to enjoy the pool) but wanted to come back to enjoy the summer activities. We were not disappointed! The house is so spacious - large rooms and all the amenities. Very clean. The host was great to work with, always prompt with any questions. Not disappointed by returning for the summer. While we enjoyed the pool and hot tub again (kids LOVE it), this time around we could enjoy the beach (15 min walk away, but very quiet and hardly any people), and the dock out back for fishing, crabbing, kayaking and bird watching. We had a blast trapping the crabs and had a seafood feast twice during our stay. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed our visit and would not hesitate to return here again regardless of the season.

our stay here was the best way to house family that traveled from NJ and FL for my son's wedding. Was the perfect location, nice beach and dock to enjoy the evening sunsets and the pool and hot tub was a nice treat. The cleaning people were still there when we got there but didn't really other us and they did a good job. The back room was nice also to look out on the water, chill and relax. The pool table was also a great past time. the beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and great that my guests were able to have their own. We will definitely keep this home in our Favorites so we can return in the future with our friends and the pontoon to take advantage of the fishing and crabbing too. Very spacious and roomy house. It was a perfect fit for what we needed it for.

The walk to the beach was farther than anticipated, about 12-15”. The beach was great, not crowded at all. The house was good, but needs some maintenance

Host is amazing. House is amazing . Charcoal and lighter fluid by the grill. Pool and jacuzzi. Plenty of space . Right by the beach.

Between the pool, the nature reserve, the beach and the dock, we were in heaven!

My family stayed at this house for the Presidents’ Day long weekend. We couldn’t ask for a better place for a getaway! The house was HUGE. So spacious that we had more than enough room to relax and spread out. The rooms were very comfortable, the kitchen well equipped. The pool table was fun. And the pool and hot tub was awesome! Needless to say it was a big draw for a winter time getaway. Also the weather was pretty wet this weekend but no one cared cause we had so much fun at the pool. While we didn’t come here planning the use a boat or go to the beach- the house is perfectly located to enjoy water/beach activities during Warner weather. We’d love to return again and enjoy the outdoors as much as we enjoyed ourselves indoors this time. The house is an excellent value, with so much to do inside and in the local area. Definitely worth repeat visits! The owner was great to work with, very responsive and helpful.

We loved the indoor pool, the short walk to the beautiful nature preserve and beach, and the ability to fish and crab from the dock out back. Chengan was extremely helpful and always very fast to answer any questions.

Property has lots to offer. The indoor pool was perfect for rainy days. Lots of games and puzzles, Netflix available. Dock for fishing and crabbing. Be sure to bring bug spray. Close to everything, lots to do in the area.

Good get a way

This property is in a wonderful location. Very short drive to Buckroe Beach and park. Food lion has a grocery order pick up or delivery service and plenty of places that deliver meals. The dock is fun and so was the crab fishing, the kids were a hoot with catch and release. I highly recommend bug spray for your outdoor fun and shoes on the dock. The fenced in yard was perfect for little ones. The inside looks like the pictures, but could use a bit of TLC, nothing major! Upstairs master gets very warm. The property owner has very good communication! Wonderful trip

This house was very accommodating for our family of 7. The house had so many amenities! Everyone loved the pool and hot tub! House was close to everything, people in the neighborhood were nice. Definitely consider staying again sometime. Only complaint is that the grass was pretty high. Thanks for everything.

Du Casa is a wonderful place to unwind and relax. With all the chaos that’s going on in the world right now with the Covid 19 virus, it was so peaceful to stay at Du Casa. We came with everything we needed, and the house provided the rest. So it was no bother not to go anywhere. Du Casa has enough bells and whistles to keep you entertained.

We could not have been happier with this rental! The property is neat, clean, and so incredibly relaxing! And the property owner is incredibly organized and attentive to detail.

We rented this property for our annual Christmas in Virginia in January trip. I was exactly as described on VRBO. Chengan was a very good host and very helpful. He met us at the property to go over information about the pool and spa and security cameras. He left his phone number to contact if we had any issues. He even had two Christmas trees set up for our use. Everyone enjoyed the pool and spa and the pool table. We walked to the nature preserve which was at the end of street. Just a quick walk through the preserve, and we were on the beach. Talk about hidden gems! There were plenty of bedrooms and beds for our group. There was also three cots in the closets to use if needed. The house is located outside of Hampton and is about 1/2 hour from local attractions/historical sites. All in all, it was the perfect place to hold our annual family get together. We all just wished we had more time there. I would definitely stay at this property again.

Our family of 10 really enjoyed our Christmas time together. There was a Christmas tree set up for us. Bonus for us was the Pool table, Swimming pool and hot tub since it was cold outside. We also enjoyed walks on the beach. Host was very good to check in on us.

Overall we had a great time. We are a family of swimmers so the pool was the draw. We had a great time.

Location of this property was fantastic. The Grandview nature preserve offers direct access to beach and shell and sea glass gathering. Our family preteen to grandparents spent hours fishing and crabbing on the dock just steps from the back door. The house was huge and offered so much to do from games to reading to swimming Even though there were twelve of us the lace felt huge and everyone had space. The owner was helpful and offered advice for activities and restaurants. We were thrilled with this house!

The owner was very helpful throughout the stay from check-in to check-out... The suggestions he gave us were very helpful...He provided everything we needed at the house from enough towels for our family to access to additional rollout beds with additional bed sheets.. We were able to enjoy catching and eating crab right outside on the lake.. He also provides beach boards, life jackets, and fishing poles...The home doesn’t provide many TVs and the internet connection is kinda weak but it made us put our phones down and actually enjoy eachother company..The kitchen is large and made for a great place for several generations to come together to prepare the meals while watching others play board games “also provided by owner” and watching others play pool.. My nephew said it was the coolest vacation he’s ever had.. We will most definitely be renting this home again.. The owner himself came to personally greet us the morning after we arrived just because we got in really late and he even checked to made sure we made it home safely...I really wish there was a space provided so I could share some of the pictures we took at home..

First off, HomeAway does not care about cleanliness and will not help you find a new option. We got there at 3pm and the cleaning lady was still there. She left without finishing the job! This house was so filthy that we had to get the cleaning/ pool/ property manager back out and we still had to clean stuff. Don’t look under the beds, dressers or in the closets. There was left over food in the fridge, freezer and pantry from previous renters. The pool was dirty, the hot tub was broken and dirty. We were not able to use the pool or hot tub the entire stay. The grass was so high the owner had to send out the lawn/ pool/ property manager to cut it. The electrical is jacked up, 10 light switches control the same light. We never found out how to turn off the lights in the back. The electrical outlets in the downstairs master bathroom don’t work. The upstairs beds were not made, no sheets. The bath towels, not enough, we’re good quality and the beach towels were a nice touch, since that was the only water we could get in! The AC works well. The owner did come out and try to address the hot tub but he was using the cleaning lady and the lawn guy to fix it, it needs a professional to fix it. We wasted a day because they were there. We had our dogs so we couldn’t leave the house with all the people in and out. The dock was nice to sit on and enjoy the weather. I’ve never rented a house like this before and will not use HomeAway again and this horrible experience.
