My family and I enjoyed staying in this home for a week as ventured out on many adventures, visiting light houses, eting wonderful seafood and enjoying the Atlantic's beaches. Nice location near the beach. Wonderfully maintained home and well supplied with everything we required. it was clear the previous vacationers had left some food and beverages and we returned the favor for the next visitors. Great place to stay.

Ernie’s house was perfect for six of us to enjoy a great beach week. It’s really an upscale property with a generous master bedroom and en suite bath, a comfortable lay out through the kitchen and living room and a large back deck perfect for summer nights if you want to BBQ or take the local seafood back to the house. Ernie was a great host and we’ll definitely rent again given the opportunity.

This is a wonderful property. The setting is bucolic with the house nestled in a large private lot bordered by trees . Both the front and back yards provide plenty of space for lawn games. A large deck is perfect for dinners under the stars and a roofed porch allows you to be outside during summer rainstorms. The house is IMMACULATE with a dream kitchen, huge primary bedroom with ensuite spa bathroom. There are even two family rooms. The property is well-stocked, with plenty of towels, linens, beach towels, and beach chairs. I didn’t need to buy a single spice, cooking essential, or cleaning product. There is even a clothes steamer! Ernie is an incredibly attentive & thoughtful host. When our arrival flight was significantly delayed, he went to the house to turn on all the lights for our late arrival. He responded immediately to any questions. When we were unable to return home to Naples, FL due to Hurricane Ian, Ernie kindly & generously allowed us to extend our stay, even though it inconvenienced him personally. Ernie has created a lovely ‘home away from home’ and is an extraordinary host.

The property was very nice, and we appreciated the renovations. It was a bit of a walk to the beach, about 15-20 minutes. There is some street parking available, just be careful of the signs. You can also pay to park at Wallis Sands Beach lot. The beach itself was beautiful. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. The house did get pretty hot at night. There was a portable air conditioner in one room, and fans. But in 90 degree temps, it could only do so much. Would love a coffee maker in the house - there is a Keurig, but no coffee pot. Also a clothes line to hang up wet bathing suits and towels would be appreciated. Owner was very responsive when I reached out with questions. Plenty of towels and sheets for the week. We had a great time!

I can only echo what others have said before me: this home is so much more than the listing conveys…..a rare and welcome surprise! The congenial host had anticipated our every need and thoughtfully supplied so many extra touches: the well equipped pantry and kitchen, the quality of all the furnishings and linens, and a large cache of beach supplies, to name a few. The lawn and back patio are wonderful places to relax and take in a meal of the local seafood or enjoy an early morning as the world wakes up. And it is all so very, very clean and well looked after. The beach is a mere 4 minute ride, and this home’s central location makes it ideal for daily excursions to all the sights the area has to offer. I could have stayed all summer!

Very comfortable, well-appointed house in easy walking distance of Wallis Sands beach and easy drive to the delights of Portsmouth. Five of us had room to spread out, take walks, cook family meals, and spend time at the beach. And our traditional dinner out at Petey;s seafood restaurant did not disappoint.

Exceeded expectations!
The rare rental that was actually *better* than the listing led me to believe - a gorgeous, immaculate and perfectly outfitted home in a quiet but central spot. Would absolutely return in the future. You really can't go wrong with this place.

Beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood. Neat, clean, well outfitted…..everything about this property was done with the renter in mind. The landscaping, furnishings, and cleanliness was perfect as fast as we were concerned. Thanks for sharing.

Charming cottage near our favorite NH beach!
This is a charming, immaculate, and well-provisioned home! Our host has thought of everything to make his guests' stay welcome and comfortable. We felt at home immediately! The home's floor plan is open and contemporary with comfortable seating throughout. We found our stay delightful and enjoyed meeting our host. If there would be any improvements to be made, we might suggest a booster for the home's wiFi and the stove burners should be adjusted for even lighting. Other than that Fantastic!!! Thank you, very much for making our return to Rye and happy and memorable one!

Super clean, easy, and comfortable stay!
Our hosts were so accommodating and nice during our stay. The place was IMMACULATE. WiFi worked great for anyone who needed to call in to meetings and get some work done. Large and comfy movie room. Mario Kart was an added bonus and we had a lot of fun playing again! Gorgeous main bathroom. The second bedroom is a bit better for kids, - two twin beds, - but worked out just fine for us. Mattresses seemed really firm at first, but ended up being a super comfy sleep! We will definitely look into staying again if we can!

Wonderful spacious house
We really enjoyed our two week stayed at this property. The house was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked which made cooking very easy. The deck was amazing and the yard was great for our children to play in. The location was great, about 5 minutes to beach and 15 minutes from Portsmouth. The owner was quick to respond to all of our questions. We would definitely stay there again!

Spacious contemporary get away
Super immaculate gorgeous home nestled in the woods about a mile from the beach. Beautiful state of the art appliances but air conditioning in master bedroom only. Our teen grandchildren enjoyed the Nintendo switch game system.

Wonderful family home in great location
,Spacious and well-appointed house with comfortable sleeping arrangements. Fantastic media room, beautiful deck for meals and relaxing. Great kitchen, well stocked pantry. Walk or short drive to Wallis Sands beach (our favorite). Nearby restaurants and shops. We took a Portsmouth Harbor cruise one overcast day (great experience) and then enjoyed walking around that city.

Great house near beach!
We really enjoyed our stay! Property is a short walk to the beach which allowed us to have frequent strolls to the beach and to lunch at Petey’s for lobster rolls. We explored Portsmouth, Exeter and Dover with ease. Owner gave us great dining recommendations!

Clean and newly renovated
Our family of four had a great vacation stay at this home. The furniture, appliances and rooms were all clean and like new. Everything was stocked well and there was plenty of room inside and out. It was close to the beach but had a quiet, private yard. We would definitely rent this property again.

Rye Vaca 2019
The house was well-appointed with everything we needed. Had new appliances in a newly renovated kitchen. The master bedroom was beautiful with a wonderful bathroom and shower! The room with the twin trundle beds that was perfect for our college-age daughter and her friend and our son was able to visit for an evening and stay in the other bedroom. Plenty of space for our family. Quiet neighborhood close to Portsmouth and to the beach. We would definitely rent again here.

Great home for a girls weekend away!
Our group of 6 had a great time at Ernie's lovely Rye home. We were looking for a place where we could stay in one night and cook and one night where we could go into Portsmouth. Ernie had all of the necessary cookware for a meal in and Uber/Lyft was very accessible. There is only one Master bed but there are 4 stackable beds that are very comfortable and a large couch and sleigh bed in the master that can be used as well. We recommend this property for anyone who may be looking at a home that is a little outside the city. Thanks!

Excellent family fun
Well kept house with some luxury touches (master suite is great, super leather sectional couch accommodated all five of us for watching movies and the Great British Baking show!). And the giant hot tub, which has its own slate floored, high ceiling room, is a huge hit for our family members ranging from seven to seventy. The easy drive to Wallis Sands is central to our vacation fun, too, as is cooking and enjoying meals in the large kitchen area. We plan to come back.

Well-Appointed Home Away From Home
From the prompt response from the owner via text and email to the simple check-in and out process, we have nothing to complain about.
The home was spotless and well maintained. The beds were prepped and ready upon our arrival. The simple minimalist decor allowed for ample space to hang out together or separately.
This was a great find for our family with 3 teen boys and 2 parents.
The only suggestion I would make is to consider A/C options for those hot, sticky days and nights. We were definitely not uncomfortable sleeping at night, but if it’s humid and hot during the day it can get warm inside.
This was our first VRBO and our first vacation with kids. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.

Spotless and stocked, walking distance to Wallis Sands Beach!
This home was really clean, organized and fully stocked. Great hot tub and large deck to entertain. We were worried about no AC but there were lots of fans and we were not hot at night. We cooked several meals and everything was there. You don’t need to bring anything! Walk to the beach and Petey’s. Very quiet residential setting. We were 5 adults and a child and fit comfortably. Highly recommend!

Great home, great location!
Our group had a fantastic stay at the house! We went to Wallis sands beach during the day and Portsmouth at night, while spending time at the house between. The location is great. The house is beautiful and the hot tub is a plus! The home owner was quick and responsive to any questions or needs we had. I would absolutely recommend this house and would return again in the future!

This is exactly Home Away from Home.
This house is by far the best that I have ever experienced, away from home. The house is spacious and super clean, with an incredible amount of amenities, including necessities for a comfortable stay. The kids really enjoyed themselves, as they spent hours on the game consoles, as well as the lovely hot tub secluded within the house. The kitchen is spacious for those who love to cook, which is where my wife spent most of her time preparing meals, while I relaxed by the fireplace. I will definitely revisit this house again in the future!!! I highly recommend it for those inquiring, you will not be disappointed!!! Ernest is a first class host. Wish everyone was this good when staying at their home.

Gorgeous residence, amazing location, incredibly well stocked, and highly courteous host
From the moment we arrived to Ernie's home we were thrilled. The house is beautifully kept, incredibly clean, and well organized. By far the best stocked VRBO we've ever stayed in. It is spacious and tastefully decorated. We stayed with our two-year-old and three-month old sons. Due to the uncluttered nature of this home, it was very easy to have a toddler hanging out unlike many places that aren't babyproofed! Ernie was kind enough to leave one of the twin mattresses on the floor for our toddler, who absolutely loved his room. The master is situated toward the back of the home, so you have plenty of privacy from your company (or in this case, small children!) The hot tub room is luxurious! The kitchen was very well appointed and deck spaced allowed us to have a handful of family reunion gatherings and outdoor meals. We went to Wallis Sands beach daily, which is walking distance, or a few minutes in the car. We would love to stay at Ernie's place again. We didn't want to leave. Ernie was readily available to answer questions and a very gracious host. Thanks for a fabulous vacation.

SO much better than a hotel
Super clean, spacious and contemporary... yet homey. Well-furnished with everything we needed. Property manager was in contact promptly to answer any questions. Obviously a lot of effort and pride has gone into making this a really nice place to stay. Full of great little details ... like night lights in strategic locations that come on automatically at night. Big beautiful master bathroom with double sinks, amazing shower and huge luxury tub. Big hot tub in an enclosed porch. Great kitchen and back deck. Very comfortable king-sized bed. Great washer and dryer. Location was perfect for us to attend a wedding in Rye and visit with family and friends in the Seacoast. We would stay here again. One small negative: the tv room that doubles as a guest bedroom (two single beds were set up for us, so our adult daughters could visit) could use some shades on the glass door for privacy. Not a huge issue and we loved it anyway. Thanks!

Even better than expected!
Knew from the pictures and location that we were really going to enjoy the space, but it exceeded our expectations. A group of 5 of us were in for a wedding, and we all agreed it was a great time... especially the hot tub! All our interactions with the homeowner were helpful, check-in/out process was seamless. Would definitely come back!
