Loved the authentic western decor. Just the right size accomodation for us and the right place to branch out and explore the area. This king size bed was by far the most comfortable we have had on our rentals. Loved the old door as the headboard. All in all would stay again if we are back in the Deadwood area.

My cousin and I really enjoyed our stay at the Hideout. It was charming, clean and at a beautiful location. The owner/manager was extremely helpful and gladly helped us out when we had any questions. If I ever get back to the Black Hills, this is where I'll lay my head. My neighbor is expecting to be there in the fall and has this on her preferred place to stay, dates allowing.

The property was well manicured and the cabin very clean. The bed is comfortable and the towels were soft. Had a very pleasant stay and the owners were very responsive and considerate. I would definitely stay here again😊

The place was clean and perfect for the my husband and me to enjoy exploring the Black Hills! Dawn and Tim, the owners were amazingly helpful and so friendly. It was a special treat to see a deer eating clover right outside the door! We would definitely stay here again!

Very nice. Needed propane for gas grill and owner immediately took care of us. Nice quiet location. Centrally located for our daily travels.

Home away from home
Mad Peak is a nice and clean little one bedroom apartment with all of the comforts of home. We highly recommend this property. It is close to both Deadwood and Sturgis.

Love Mad Peak Resort
This is our second time at the Hideaway and would be back again! Its a cute and cozy place to stay and love having the owners dogs and cat come out and visit us while we were there.

Great location with all the extra touches
Great location with all the amenities. Our stay at The Hideout was fantastic, from the awesome decor, comfy bed, and trail access, to the communcation from the hosts. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again if we are in the area.

Quiet Getaway
Overall experience was great. We were looking for a quiet weekend getaway and this was the perfect place. Cabin was very nice and had everything we needed. Definitely plan on returning.

Close to trail for ATV riding, great views. Really cool old stove (Decorative), lots of fun decorations. Full kitchen, comfortable bed. Definitely would stay here again!!

Peaceful Beauty
Loved this property! Beautiful ride through the mountains. Property is right in the middle of everything you could want to visit. Large private and peaceful & the owners/hosts are friendly and hands on. Love their doggies!

Nice place! Was worried that we would hear the highway or campground next door when we first arrived but couldn’t hear either one once we were in. Was very clean and a good spot to rest after full day of seeing the sites. We would stay here again and would recommend it!

Great Place and Owners
Stayed for a few days in February to snowmobile. The Hideout exceeded our expectations and owners were great! Great location close to both Deadwood and Lead. Property was super cute and clean. Would definitely stay again. Thank you for your hospitality!

Heaven away from home
Amazing stay at Mad Peak! We have stayed at The Depot and now the Hideout. Both are truly amazing! Owners are great to work with. 2020 has brought many stresses to all. This is where you go when you need to reset and connect. Has the feel of home with awesome decor. Beautiful stay, once again♥️

Cute Western Themed Quaint Cabin
This newly done property is very nice and very quiet. The owners are right by and can help you with any questions or concerns. They have several amenities just in case you forget something. Nice to be close to trails for riding purposes.

Nice home away from home.
Very ,nice,clean, and quiet place. Just bring some clothes and food. Everything else is already there. About 5-10 minutes from historic Deadwood and within an hour of Mt Rushmore,Custer State Park etc. Enjoy everything the Black Hills has to offer then come back and enjoy peaceful evenings at the Hideout.

After a difficult trip in it was great to get to our accommodations. Everything was absolutely perfect. It was the ideal “home base” for every adventure we had. The kitchen had everything we needed. We will definitely stay there again.

Lovely Hideout!!
We had such a relaxing time staying here! It was quiet and yet not too far from Lead and Deadwood. There are three pets on location but you would never know unless you want to give pet to one of the sweetest cats I have ever met. The space was lovely, clean and exactly the right space for my husband and I. Can’t wait to come back!!

Great Hideout
This property was perfect for a couples getaway. It was convenient for hitting the trails and the place itself was awesome. It had everything you needed with some extra touches that made it very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
