The hotel was excellent. The facilities were great (kitchen and courtyard were lovely). The staff were really firendly ans helpful. I would have liked to have given a higher rating but see below..

The hotel is slightly out of the way, which isn't normally a problem for us as we like walking. The major issue is the stray dogs in the vicinity of the hotel. The dogs were aggressive and everytime we left the hotel they would try to attack us. Unless driving or using taxis be cautious..

Very nice people run the place. Rodolfo was always there for us and very friendly. Kitchen was nice, hot water in the shower and even a coffeemaschine. We felt very welcomed and it was always nice to get back from the city center:)

The room is quite basic but more than you can expect for this very low rate. The room has enough space and the beds are comfortable. Good airco and Wifi.

Low water pressure in the shower and no hot water. The location is 15-30 minutes walking from the waterfront and restaurants.

We had such an amazing stay at Casa Coral. The staff(family) were so friendly and hospitable. My two young boys loved it there and didn’t want to leave. The communal kitchen is clean and has everything you need to make your own food. We loved it there so much we booked another night later in our trip.

We had initially booked for 2 nights but ended up staying 2 extra nights because it was so nice. The vibe was lovely, the hosts were every kind and helpful. It was clean and had both a new looking ceiling fan and A/C that worked perfectly. The bathroom was small but very clean. The shower had hot water. There was also a kitchen that looked well equipped but we didn't use it. The location was good, only a 15 min walk from the ADO bus station and 30 mins to the town. You can also rent bicycles so it's faster! I would definitely recommend staying here 🙂

We were overwhelmed by the kindness of the owners. They welcomed us with a huge smile and gave us a lot of special attention throughout our stay that made our time there feel really special. From gifting us food to giving us a ride at 2am to the bus station, and giving us hammocks to rest in after check out, they were so generous to us. The place is also really cute and cosy, always very clean and comfortable. Love Casa Coral !

Its a little far from the lagoon but nice to be in a more local environment and the owner will gladly give you a ride, even at 2 in the morning to help you catch your bus !

We liked our stay here. The owners are amazing, so caring and ready to help with anything. They even gave us a ride to the city centre and the bus station a few times. the garden/common space is nice

The family who run this place are amazing. Really friendly and helpful with anything we needed. They gave us a lift to Centro twice, and to catch our bus when we left. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Quiet location for a good sleep. Very safe. Communal kitchen. Solid WiFi. Hot shower with great pressure. AC. Would definitely recommend.

The location is a 20 minute walk to the Lake/Centro. But they have bikes to rent at the property and a taxi is only 30/40 pesos depending on the driver. The plus side is it's nice and quiet as its away from the busy streets.

It is in a lovely local area 2 km from the center. The place is super calm and beautiful and with the nicest host who was attentive to our every need. The distance was no problem as taxi cost 30 pesos no matter the distance. And the calmness of the place located right next to a small ‘jungle’ was perfect when coming back from a day in the stressful turist center.

Did a short stay in Bacalar and Casa Coral was just perfect. The hotel is in a quite location and everything is very accessible from there. The room was comfortable. Big thanks to Rudolfo for all the suggestions and for calling the most price-competitive taxis for us !

It was a really cute and comfy place with all you need, very clean and the person who was working is really nice, he explain us everything very well and he was avaible for all our needs!

Very nice and cosy room in a beautiful house, with a big courtyard equipped with amacas, tables and chairs, perfect to spend the evening outside chilling. The kitchen is well equipped as well. The location is a bit away from the beaches and the restaurants (2 minute drive or 15 walk), but the neighborhood is nice and there is a small shop next door. In top of that the hosts are a beautiful family, very welcoming and helpful, we felt like at home: absolutely recommended!!! So sad that we couldn't stay longer: the lagoon is amazing!

Slightly out of town but walkable, bicycles are available for hire to negate this issue

Rudolfo who owns the guesthouse is a wonderful host and always there to assist his guests.

Location is a little way out of town, but within walking distance.

It's a 50 peso taxi ride to the centre.

1. The staff are very nice and helpful. Always smiling, kind people. Speaks great spanish and english. 2. VERY CLEAN! The room is spaciuos. 3. AC working very good. Also a ceiling fan is provided, which is great if you dont like AC. 4. It may seem a little away from city centre BUT you are also away from all city noise. In morning you hear birds and it is quiet to sleep! :) 5. The bikes are provided. We did not use them, but there are plenty.

The water was a not very hot. But it was warm and for us it was okay, because it was +34 outside.

The owner was very friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere was great and I had a very comfortable experience here.

The location of this hostel was slightly further away from the lake and the heart of bacalar, but the owner provided bicycles for rent so this wasn't really a problem whilst staying here.
