Great family room that fit all five of us. Good food at the restaurant.
4.1
Very helpful and friendly staff. Great shower.
Bed not great and one or two fittings needing replaced.

Room was comfortable. Clean and spacious bathroom. Staff/owners lovely - very helpful and friendly. Breakfast great quality and good value. Plenty of parking.
There were vacuum cleaners everywhere all the time! Floors were clean, but a bit of vacuum storage would make a big difference and make the place more welcoming.
4.1
Great location, just off the motorway and yet rural and peaceful. Next to the railway line but not many trains go past!
Nothing, it was great.

Staff were very welcoming and friendly. For the price point it was pretty much what I was expecting. Room was an ideal size. Free parking outside which is always great we were given access to the back entrance to make it easy to unload from the car.
The room was tired but that was my expectation. The overall cleanliness could be better there was mould in the bathroom around the taps and under the non slip matt which I feel is not necessary. The bedding was all nice and clean but it looks like the room is more surface cleaned then deep cleaned. We found the room got quite hot at night so windows needed to be opened which makes the train noise a little louder, But that can’t be helped.

it was a rustic and authentic old railway pub/hotel, situated in a beautiful rural area of Gloucestershire. My room was small, which is pretty standard in the UK, but outside of sleeping, I didn’t spend much time in the room. My room comfortable and clean, with a nice view. Staff and locals were great and the owners wonderful and genuine. All were friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Steven and I chatted everyday and was a wealth of knowledge about the area while Wendy cooked a great full English breakfast at a reasonable price. I’d go back in a second.
nothing I can think of.

Friendly and helpful staff in this independent hotel
Undergoing refurbishment in places but wasn't a problem

Did not have the breakfast
Nothing

The front door was locked at night (11 pm) and no one informed us on how we could enter the inn. After searching any way possible while it was freeing and dark, we found a door open at the fire escape.
The room was cold, there was no light bulb at the nightstand, one of the windows didn’t have blinds so we woke up at the daylight.
Overall it was a below average experience.

The breakfast was lovely and they also did a lighter version of the cooked breakfast too. I had 2 pots of tea and nothing was too much trouble for them.
The room was clean, comfortable and I had a lovely view over the fields.

Super helpful and friendly staff - great ales on draft and really well kept!

Quite difficult to carry baggages through the stairs to the room.
The room for 4 seems quite cramped

lovely location
The room was tired and the bathroom had black mould all around the shower.
4.1
The location was very picturesque. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. Food was excellent and there was a great selection of drinks
Nothing really, all very good. Nothing really to add.
4.1
Very cool old inn with an attached pub. Eccentric rooms. Terrific staff. Good food and drink.
Nothing to dislike.
4.1
Breakfast was good with good choices.
One evening meal taken was very good.
The bedroom was small as described the decor and on suite was in dire need of improvement.

Nice location
Railway line still in use and turned out to be 40 meters away - the main South West to Midlands and North railway line. Need ear plugs!

What a hidden gem. Wonderful location with a railway line to the front and a field of cows to the side (no smell). Idyllic place to stay. Very friendly but professional staff. We decided to have a meal whilst there and were so glad we did, great choice and well prepared - so good, that we decided to have breakfast there too. Very warm welcome in the morning and exceptional value for money food. There was plenty of choice and the ingredients were great quality. Will stay again.
Wish we had booked for two nights instead of one. We didn't want to leave as it was so relaxing.
4.1
All the staff were very helpful and pleasant. Dinner and breakfast were good but rather basic.
Rooms needed updating with more thought into the layout and lacked certain amenities, insufficient sockets, shower not working efficiently, no chair, kettle wouldn't reach socket sensibly.
4.1
Friendly staff, great food and a good-sized family room.
4.1
The family room is two connected rooms with a shared bathroom. It suited our needs perfectly! The rooms and bathroom were very spacious, comfortable and clean. The shower, in particular, was much bigger than showers we've had in other hotels. No AC, but great fans. Again, it suited our preferences. Close to the train tracks. However, the train does not run overnight and the windows, when closed properly, shut out all noise. One member of the group is vegan. Although nothing on the menu was explicitly marked as vegan, the kitchen whipped up an excellent dinner!
4.1
Good food, welcoming staff/owners, the building itself, very comfortable bed. Wendy, owner, was friendly and very kind.
No chair in room, so had to sit on bed to view tv. No instructions for tv or for what looked like new shower. Because of heatwave windows had to be open consequently the noise from passing trains was very intusive.
4.1
Great spacious family room with super comfy beds. Close to the Beacon for walks. Food was fantastic. What’s not to like! very happy.
nothing. all good.

good breakfast and liked the location

Good menu, I can recommend the ribs!
There is no chair in the room which means to do any paperwork I have to sit on the bed.
4.1
Amazingly comfortable and springy bed. Wonderful shower. Excellent breakfast. Very helpful staff who worked very hard to keep all of the customers happy.
The rumble of the train going past (but it was called the Beacon and Railway pub) !!
So my fault !! Slightly dated decor of room. Rough surface of carpark.. it would have been better if it was tarmacced.. I've had punctures in the past on gravelly surfaced carparks!
