Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and had plenty of space, the beds were comfortable and it had a nice roof terrace accessible by a (very steep and tight) spiral staircase. The hotel itself was quiet with no loud customers (of mixed age groups) and was very close to restaurants and bars.

No air conditioning, so I had to keep the doors open. Unfortunately my room overlooked the main road so it was noisy until late'ish at night. Then at sometime around 4am/5am I was woken up when the lorries emptying the roadside waste bins parked up next to the hotel, operating cranes with the hazard warning sounds blaring. Even with the doors open, it was still unbearably hot, but obviously it's my fault I mistakenly booked a hotel without aircon. There were also noisy people coming back along the road at all times between 1am and 6am, but that's also not the hotels fault.

The property was in a good location to bars and restaurants, pool was very relaxed and peaceful.

Rooms need updating, very dated, beds very uncomfortable, pool bar not exactly the cheapest, staff were hot and cold spoke one minute not the next.

The Usalla is a budget no frills hotel in a good location for access to the beach and sea front walk. It also gives the option of visiting Las Americas or Los Cristianos. The housekeeping staff were brilliant and kept the apartment spotless.

We didn't use the pool area because the volume of the music being played was too loud. To be fair, we didn't complain and supposed other guests were happy with it. We found it very noisy through the night with party groups returning in during the small hours. This meant keeping the windows closed to minimise the noise. This made the apartment very hot and airless.

Staff was very pleasant, everyone willing to lend a helping hand. The pool was quiet and comfortable, always plenty of sunbeds. Our room was very well situated with good balcony.

The kitchenette is very poor, needs to be replaced. The fridge was not in a good state. The sofa was really low and uncomfortable. The beds were also rather uncomfortable. Bathtubs should be replaced with walk-in showers.

As weather was predicted hot the only filter l put on my search was a swimming pool & it was out of service all week. All we asked for in compensation was a late checkout which was denied by the hotel. NOT HAPPY

Location was great for us it was nice to be recognised by one of the receptionists from our last visit to the hotel. friendly and helpful staff it was so nice to have a small roof top to chill out beds were comfortable

Rooms clean and comfortable, with a balcony and roof terrace too for top floor rooms - well worth requesting one of these. Great pool area with lovely staff at the poolside bar which has very reasonably priced drinks, doubly so during Happy Hour (3-5pm daily)

Some of the in room furnishings are a bit dated, some confusion over breakfast availability/location (we ended up just going to a cafe a few doors up. No air conditioning and our balcony faced a busy road so couldn’t leave the door open at night for noise reasons.

Location was great. Close enough to restaurants and bars but also far enough away from the main hustle and bustle.

Unfortunately, the apartment was very dated and not like the marketing photos on the website. The sofa bed was broken, tables were stained and the sun beds on the roof terrace were broken to extent but could still be used. Also, I booked through Booking.Com and the total price I thought I was paying in English Pounds suddenly got converted to Euro's when it came to paying the balance resulting in being charged an additional £95 from what was advertised.

Location is superb! cozy quiet pool plenty sunbeds, cafe, table tennis. Apartment was comfy spacious enough for 2 adults, good sized balconies, kitchenette (we didn't cook but it got basic essentials) although we ve changed the apartment as in the 1st one everything was perfect apart from next apartment balcony which was kinda of open space with ours (no fence between em) .. Family of 4 living permanently incl 2 kids (under 2yo old) playing / crying/ screaming/ moaning from ealry morning which is understandable what else kids would do but gave us discomfort 😢 zero privacy, never mind piece and quite holiday mornings😂 so after 2nd morning we asked and got moved to an other room which was perfectly quite thank you Paul (from reception) for understanding! Staff is really friendly, very attentive and helpful. Personal THANKS to PAUL, cheers!

Memory foam matrasses were way too soft none of us ever slept well, "diving" in somebodies memory foam hole all night trying to climb out 😂😂 I dont think such a matrasses (memory foam) ever suitable for common use like hotel. This foam memory idea is to keep memory of your own body🙈 but not every body....😂 The first room we stayed before we got moved because of noise had plain firm perfect matrasses!! Best ever for the rest and comfort (yes I know loads of folks moaning it's hard mattress but it's the best for your backbone!) Also there were no full size mirror in apartment: mirrored sliding wardrobe doors were missing at all so only the chest level mirror in bathroom defo wasn't enough. Only ONE power socket in kitchenette for everything - kettle, toaster, coffee machine.. We bought 3-1 adaptor. Same with the power socket next to bed - one for two peep.. How? 😂 Good job we had USB plug with 2 USB sockets so we could share.

Location of the place was quite nice, easy to get to from the airport with the bus, supermarket just around the corner, a couple of shops and restaurants around the area as well.

The apartment we stayed in didn't have sunbeds on the roof tarace instead we had chairs but can't sunbathe like that. The sofabed next to kitchen unit was completely destroyed, had burn marks and holes of cigarettes on... Can't imagine someone sleeping on it. Safe was broke not able to even open it. Another thing to consider if you want to shower do it in the evening if you try it later at night after coming back from the city you might not have hot water at this time. We didn't use pool or bar next to it at all as it was closed 6pm everyday, before we were back. Not sure what are the opening times in the summer but a little shame for that.
