We didn't like booking for 10 nights accommodation and being offered a poor quality bed and bedroom

Pestana hotel charged us for 10 nights accommodation and only provided us with 7 quality nights so the hotel owes us a refund for 3 nights which we are still waiting for.

The staff very helpful and friendly especially Delilah she could not do enough for us !!

Towels need upgrading

great location , beautiful pool/grounds , great value

beds so uncomfortable and pillow lumpy , correct that and it would be perfect

It’s not as good as it’s rated unfortunately! best parts: pool and ocean view from Balcony are great and apart from that it’s good for nothing! staff is so pleasant and welcoming!

-cleanliness in the corner of rooms and bathrooms -most uncomfortable spring beds I have ever seen in any 4 or 5 star hotel please do something about that - breakfast is so dull and not fresh (fruits) -price as per the service in that area you can find much better options in the same price

dirty. towels dirty, room or serviced. room damp and mouldy and stank of it. bed damp and leak under floor as was lifting up. chunk out of wall and cracks and marks all over.

All the facilites available including indoor pool and sauna as well as huge massage pool. Garden very good taken care of, outside pools very large. Rooms very big.

Hotel for package tourists in the Funchal hotel area not a boutique hotel, Breakfast choice could include dried ham and definitely better meat products.

Beautiful surroundings, views and lovely pools. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Well-placed and easy to access Funchal and the rest of the island.

Laundry service very expensive, nowhere to dry clothes after rain or a hand wash. Tiles around pool very slippery, nearly went over a few times!

Car park at the hotel had adequate price. Room had a good size, beds were comfortable, staff was extremely friendly. Breakfast was delicious.

Coffee at breakfast tasted a lot like instant coffee. But it is really the only thing I can find to complain about.

Excellent pool amenities and very nice hotel as such.

Turkish bath and sauna however were not so nice.

Breakfast was great. Variety good. Lovely to sit outside to eat. Coffee awful Tea making facilities was brilliant. Pity your cleaning staff were not allowed to replenish this facility daily.

Buffet on the Saturday (1 Oct) was appalling . Almost inedible. Didn’t risk eating there again. TV channel were poor . Nothing to watch except football. You need to think more about those who are infirm. You need to put showers in the bathrooms instead of shower/ bath.neither my sister or husband could shower as they couldn’t get into or out of the bath as the sides of the bath were too high. Shower mats for non slip surface are essential. You need more chairs around the pool. Older people can’t get up and out of the loungers . Too low. My husband and sister chose to stay in their rooms rather than sit with me by the pool as they couldn’t sit anywhere despite the pool staff searching for chairs for us. WIFi not secure. Wasn’t tech savi enough toknow how to change this. Not a big deal but a though for the future.

Pillows very uncomfortable. Elevators unreliable. Had to ask to replace coffee satchels not done by maids.
