It’s truly a magical building and very well renovated.
Service was just poor for a 3 star and this was a 5 star.
I think the staff are just not trained.

Nice building although safe didn't work and multi-channel TV could not receive English channels.
We had booked dinner at the hotel for the night of our arrival via Booking. com. The reception staff raised with us that we had not booked dinner and told us they were fully booked for dinner that night and our second and only other night! We showed them our communication with Booking.com. The response was simply that they had not received it and they were full for dinner - end of story! They eventually decided to go through a charade of speaking to their manager to no avail and subsequently suggested they would speak to the restaurant manager who was due to arrive some time later. As expected no flexibility/dinner reservation, nor any concern or expression of regret. They then said they would help us find a restaurant in St Emilion. One suggested was closed, the other full. We eventually sorted something.
Consequently we had just one glass of wine each while we waited for the restaurant manager's response and then didn't bother to eat or drink anything further at the hotel over the 2 day stay as we just felt totally unwelcome and of no consequence. Not what we would have expected of a hotel with their obvious pretentions. Naturally we shall not be staying there again or recommending the hotel to anyone.

The dining room and porch were amazing. Loved the ambience. Staff couldn't have been nicer.
The gym was not available as it was still being finished and could be a litte larger.

beautiful place to stay 1 lady at reception somewhat helpful ,but not enough to help with dinner reservations,none available except room service very sad!
property was great,however staff not very welcoming especially Maître d’/ manager actually asked what do you want at breakfast,not in the nicest way.we were not able to get dinner in town, the previous night 4)restaurants turned us away before 9pm I heard of eating early but ridiculous for Europe’s dinner schedule

The rooms were immaculate and the in-house restaurant and bar were exceptional. The best of everything was on offer for guests. The kitchen also provided a delicious gastronomic-vegan menu, which we were very happy with (along with the wine recommendations).

the bicycle rental was the highlight
the rooms are nice but tired. this property is ready for an update. It’s been so long since they’ve updated this hotel, there’s not even anywhere to plug in your phone!

great location. good sized rooms. nice pool spa sauna.
very very small room service menu. no room service after 10pm. gym almost useless. shuttle doesn’t run all evening every night. they sometimes fix the times like a bus lol

Picturesque location, grand building set amongst vineyards
Have to mention Luke(hope I’ve spelt the name correctly) from reception. He made us feel really welcome and was extremely helpful in everything. A special thanks to him.

Rooms size good and clean, location convenient, excellent facilities including spa and swimming pool.
If you are a family with two children, please don’t book this hotel. We just know each room can only have 3 persons when arrived and no any excuse. Finally we need to book one more room and sleep separately in two different rooms and definitely affect the feeling of the hotel.
