Super location in Munch - walkable to all the old town sights and right next to the famous Hofbrau Haus. It's a safe area and beautiful too. The hotel is nice and very clean. The front desk people were very nice and helpful. The room was small but sufficient for our needs.

The A/C was not good. I barely could feel it on in the room and there are no fans to circulate the air. We kept the windows closed at night because of city noise and were were right above a courtyard with a trash dumpster. Needless to say, I did not sleep well.

The location was excellent! Minutes away from Marienplatz and Hofbrauhaus. Close to all the shopping and restaurants which was really convenient. Easy accessible from the train station- about a 5 minute walk. The rooms were all recently renovated and was really nice. The bathroom was excellent. I loved the rain shower. One of the best showers I’ve had in our European vacation.

Our room was on the 2nd floor but due to the ongoing renovation, we had to go to the third floor then walk down to the second floor.

Great location, about a block from Marienplatz. Service is impeccable, staff are friendly. Well-sized bathroom, bright bedroom. Will definitely stay here again when I come back to Munich, and will recommend to family and friends.

Bed is tad hard, but not a deal breaker for me.

The bathroom was too small there were insufficient tea and coffee in room (2 coffee bags) and you had to ask every day for it to be replenished room decor was tired needs updating and we were not told at check in/ or prior to stay that there was work being carried out. The drilling noise on both days was horrendous and hotel were not supportive in providing a reduction in price that was respective of this huge adverse effect to our stay they offered a small discount which quite frankly was insulting and it was a special occasion for my husband and I and our holiday was spoilt by the hotel I would not recommend the hotel to anyone as their customer service is very poor

Breakfast was amazing -- a rich and varied selection of items supplemented by freshly made omelets. The staff -- front desk and breakfast room both -- were tremendously helpful and personable and caring and responsive. The location simply cannot be beat -- right in the heart of Old Town and just a few minutes' walk to the centre of it all in Marienplatz. And even though it's right next door to the Hofbräuhaus, we never heard any noise from the street. Frankly, I would never think of staying anywhere else in Munich when I return.

Every thing was good

Our stay at the Platzl Hotel was a lovely experience. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spacious, the beds are exceedingly comfortable and there was plenty of space for all our belongings. The rooms are well stocked with coffee, tea, water, soda and other amenities such as shampoo, lotion and soap. Breakfast is spectacular. Each and every item was delicious and the variety is fantastic. Location is absolutely perfect. Close to Marienplatz, Viktualienmarkt and the Hofbrauhaus. We walked everywhere including to the meeting points for all our tours. We had a marvelous view of the city and the Heilig Geist church whose bells rang every morning and evening. Although the area can be noisy well into the evening with people enjoying food and beer at the many surrounding restaurants, our room was surprisingly quiet due to the heavy glass in the windows. We slept soundly. The lobby is enchanting and cozy. We sat on the comfy sofas and enjoyed our gelato several times. Overall a wonderful time at the Platzl. We will most certainly stay here again.

Hotel has Bavarian feel. Great location in Marianplatz near good restaurants. Staff is very kind and helpful. Good breakfast. Close to train station to visit other sites in Bavaria. This was my third time staying at Platzl Hotel and will return again.

Coffee shop is not open throughout the day.

Everything was great! We really liked the location of the hotel, and the bar Josefina is perfect for a good drink in the evening! I also thank the hotel staff for the cake and the champagne that were offered in celebration of my birthday! We definitely recommend the hotel!
