Amazing swimming pool, 130 metres in length!
Excellent dinner.

Superb pool and excellent restaurant. Great outside bathroom. Convenient location for airport, only 20 mins in taxi.

Not only is there a 100-meter pool on the main grounds, but there is also a second pool, near the beach, with an ocean view. The rooms are designed in such an interesting way, with the bathrooms outdoors, yet private. This hotel was so fun, and unbeatable value.
Upon entering the room there is a familiar smell of an old building that is constantly exposed to humidity. Not much can be done about this, and the hotel is otherwise remarkably clean. It is easy to get used to and did not impact our enjoyment!

Old tooms and not provided all facilities mentioned in website.Had to request for hair dryer/slippers etc

Great room and outside bathroom, pool was great, food was great, people were friendly.

The pool and the room with the outdoor bathroom
The staff couldn't understand English very well at all which made it difficult to communicate. I am vegetarian and was served croissants with a sausage in it and when I complained, the waiter just smiled and clearly didn't understand. The staff also made it a point to receive my boat receipt at 11pm at night even though I told them I was checking out the next morning and so, they could have waited until then. I was given conflicting information from different staff members about paying by card for the boat. I have had a nightmare trying to sort out a refund when my card was charged even though their website showed an error and should have never taken payment.

What a beautiful hotel and location. The pool was obviously incredible and provided a much-needed break from the heat. The food was lovely (see below for one instance) This was the best night's sleep we had on the entire trip. Highly recommend staying here, especially when traveling with people who have dietary restrictions.
The only complaint we have - A member of our group had to send their eggs back a few times because they were not fully cooked to their liking. That's it, and it was addressed and fixed. Everything else was wonderful

Very friendly staff, even we arrived at around midnight. Nice garden with a beautiful and very large pool. Quiet place and perfect to relax.

restaurant offerings were a big let down-
breakfast food selection was very limited, basic and actually underwhelming
restaurant food- we ordered a Sri Lankan Pork curry which was so spicy it was inedible and caused severe indigestion
HOUSEKEEPING- minimal toileteries and rationing of bath towels, water bottles- had to constantly call up to get it replenished

Location is convenient. Design of the hotel is beautiful.
This hotel clearly needs maintenance. They need to train the staffs by reception better - it took us long time to check in/out and pay by cards because staffs were not familiar of check-in/out and payment process.

Loved the architecture of the property and the amazing swimming pool. The rooms were spacious and we loved the outdoor shower and bathroom.
Clearly times have been very tough for the leisure industry particularly in Sri Lanka but considering the price we felt the hotel was a bit “tired”. For instance the wall at the rear of the outdoor bathroom had peeling plaster and really needed repainting. The catering options were okay but not amazing. Considering the occupancy was very low the staff were a bit laissez faire. The pool bar wasn’t open so you had to get the lifeguard to contact catering to get someone to take a drinks order.

Our second visit to this fantastic stay at this elegant hotel which didn't disappoint. Staff very attentive and food excellent. Had a Bawa room which is spacious and comfortable.

Booked because I wanted peace and quiet however loud music into midnight reminiscent of a hostel. Also disliked the out door shower, the wall had weird stuff growing on it and was clear it needed to be repainted

Nice location and facilities. Easy to get to from the airport.
