Not much to do. Website states a bar/restaurant in the hostel. But it does not state that it is only open on weekends. Lots of stairs after a day of going up and down hills all day already.

This is your typical hostel and exactly the experience I wanted for my 10-year-old twins. It is located within walking distance of many restaurants and cafes and the pier and shares a space with a low-key bar/restaurant, aptly named Babel, and a cafe that makes a fabulous latte. The staff are incredibly helpful and not only gave us fabulous advice about where to go and what to do, but also offered great insights into Chilean culture. Also: there's a cat, Theo, whom my children regularly invited into our room to watch Youtube videos of birds and fish and for snacks. He slept in my daughter's bunk the last night.

This is a typical backpacker-type hostel, which means almost always that the bathrooms will be small and the kitchen disorganized. There was nothing unexpectedly imperfect about this place.

Showers were good, actual bathrooms so was private. Warm showers. Kitchen was clean but not many utensils etc, nice area outside hostel

I dont think the staff are very helpful. Maybe only the one I met? I dont speak spanish but I felt like she was not eager to help. Didnt tell me which bed was mine, refused to help when I try to extend my stay. She said the hostel was full but actually they still had bed available. The shower water in the bathroom I used was cold.

This was super nice, great room and big bed, a ton of great common space and a very good kitchen as well! I loved this hostel. A nice bar downstairs as well that creates a really great social atmosphere and easy to meet people as a solo backpacker :)

The hostel is located in a very safe and convenient neighborhood in Valpo! The staff was super helpful with suggesting places to visit and providing advice on the city. The rooms, common spaces, and kitchen are super clean and comfortable to be in and the hostel had a nice social but calm vibe to it.

Great stay! Good common areas, comfortable rooms, clean, hot water, well-equipped kitchen. Excellent location. Extended our stay. Saw some reviews say the set up is confusiybut it really isn't: ground floor is a bar, reception/kitchen/diner is a mezzanine above (meaning you can enjoy the music), rooms & common areas are the floor above. Bar doesn't close late & quiet times are enforced.

Not a big issue... must pay in dollars to be exempt from 19% tax, sure, but at their conversion rate, which means you're paying 10% extra. Still mutually beneficial, you still save 9% & they make a little extra, but it's the only place we've stayed that hasn't used the market rate

Very convenient location right next to the coloured steps. There is a café with really nice food in the same building. Our room was quite big and there are a lot of places to chill in the hostel. Staff was very nice.

Way too little bathrooms for the amount of rooms and people staying there. No matter which time we wanted to use the bathroom, it was always occupied. (There are just 1 or 2 bathrooms for the whole floor). The bathrooms were always dirty as well since so many people have to use the same one. Quite cold during the night and a lot of noise from other people, quiet hours aren't really respected. The price was quite high for the accomodation provided.

The location was near a lot of interesting things and restaurants

It felt like the bathrooms and doors could use a really good scrub. It was tidy mostly besides the handles of things and edges of the doors were grubby. The mattress was covered in plastic which was sort of weird but somewhat comforting as it is probably to protect the mattress but the plastic used was shopping bag material. Not sure if that type of plastic protects from bed bugs. For the money I spent I was able to sleep and store my things safely there so I would say I recieved what I needed and can say for the cost to stay there I can't complain.

Nice location situated closely to the touristic part of Valparaiso. A fine bar right down the hostel that offers some local beers (by the way their overview picture is out of date, the room nowadays contains the bar). The bar never was too loud for the sleeper above. A nice and quiet vibe in the hostel. Two cute petable house cats. Overall a good night sleep besides the one negative about the room. Bed sheets and floor were clean.

We were there with new years. Of course with new years, prices go up, but this accomodation was completely disproportional to the price in our opinion (price x10 for new years eve and like x2/×3 for the other nights). I think it is fine for the usual price. Room was clean, but had a weird urine like smell. Not extremely apparent, but it was there. Bathrooms had almost always cold water and were not very clean. Especially the bathroom floor was always dirty, not very nice showers to be had. Should be improved. Owners were kinda there to help, but in a way it felt like helping guests was not their priority. Customer service can be improved. There was one person who was at least showed some interest to the guests.
