Christine and Marc were very welcoming. We like the place so much we extended our stay for another day. The room was big and comfortable with a view over to the village church. Le Logis d'Equilly is located in the countryside and it's lovely and quiet. They have a nice breakfast and in her office, Christine has local jams, condiments and drinks available for sale. For our first night they booked us a table at a great restaurant called Le Moulin de Beauchamps which we can highly recommend. Christine also gave us some guidance to Villedieu-les-Poêles-Rouffigny where we found some fantastic copper pots for cooking. Well worth a stay!

it's very rural and the sitting room was nice to sit in and imagine life before.

The owners are grim. especially the wife . I arrived late 22.30 and it was raining. one arrives in the kitchen and I was not even offered a hot drink. breakfast was sad and the fruit rotten. The husband was kind and let me join him on an errand to the next village and drop me off there. I stayed a few hours in the sitting room after check out and before leaving as it was raining. Then before leaving I needed to go to the toilet and the wife was very curt and unpleasant that she had no extra toilet and I would dirty the room she had cleaned. One felt very unwelcome . Just there to help pay the bills.

Unbelievably beautiful chateau in a quiet secluded place. Be prepared for interior to simply amaze you as soon as you’d enter this place. The rooms are large, well-lit and clean. Make sure to visit the common living room which looks more like a treasury. You will feel like you are staying at a museum. The hosts are beyond friendly and welcoming. Over dinner, which was kindly offered by wonderful Christine and is indeed exceptional, you will learn the story of the chateau. Make sure to join the dinner at least once as the atmosphere at the table is simply incredible – you’ll feel at home in a circle of close friends. The breakfast is also really good and beyond expectations with some fresh apples and walnuts from the garden. The only thing to regret is that our stay for just one-night long. We will make sure to come back for few days to truly experience everything the chateau, Christine and Normandy have to offer.

There is truly nothing I dare to complain. If you are looking for a place to stay in Normandy - stop right here. You found it!

Breakfast was enough and perfect. Delighted to see big cups for a nice cup of tea/coffee. Loved the fresh bread and croissant. Able to park onsite. Loved the character of the chateaux which we treated ourselves to at the end of our trip to France. Loved the rolltop bath and the new decorated bathroom too. Pity we didn't stay long enough to use it as we were both tired. Host suggested nearby restaurant which we found the best so far - Entrees and Desserts were unique and to die for. This place was similar to our previous Georgian house with its character and historic attached. It is peaceful - no tv. Marc and Christine were wonderful hosts. She speaks some English, him none. If you love history and 13thC ...

A kettle with tea/coffee facilities in the bedroom would have been useful - on arrival. It would have been nice to have hot drinks before going to bed. We were well aware of the no drink/eat in bedroom and this put us off. Please note there are hunting displayed on the walls and a hutch of rabbits outside. WiFi is not accessible in the bedroom or in the wing we were in. But it is down in the public reception, dining area. It was awkward having to keep asking the host for password who put this in on our one device when we had other devices, so we had just one phone to rely on. We needed WiFi for googling maps (restaurant) and to check emails from the ferry and the hotels. However, we stayed one night. If it was 2 nights, then it would have been inconvenient. (This is not a major "didn't like" - this is an inconvenient issue.)

It is a spectacular house that the lovely owners have restored. They are sharing the beautiful rooms as well as their great kitchen (amazing old fireplace) with the guests. We did not notice before that we could have registered for a dinner with the hosts - I am sure we will next time! the owner also took time to explain what to see in the area and was very helpful! thank you so much!

An amazing experience, such a beautiful Chateau. Was like staying in a stately home, if you like period history you will love staying here. Very welcoming, lovely hosts.

the most charming property I have stayed at during my two month journey in France. The rooms are exceptionally beautiful. A lovely quiet place with amazing nature around and a good base to discover Normandy. Amazing French breakfast - would definitely come back anytime!

we were in luck cause we were on a roadtrip and with a car, otherwise without a car - not much to do in the surrounding, limited or none dining options

The location was perfect and the bathroom was large and bright. Unfortunately the water was only warm.

The Wifi was useless, there was no garden furniture to relax in the garden. The room was cold in July. The bed was rock hard and small. The room was not comfy at all. They say that they do evening meals but didn't. I wanted to go away and relax for 3 days at a beautiful property but couldn't so ended up coming home early.

This hotel, or a Chateau is a real hidden gem, the photos do not represent the whole beauty and sophistication of this place. It's like a real 12th century castle with a lot of vintage objects, decorated with amazing taste. Its one of the best and the most charming hotels we've stayed among our 30+ countries journeys. The property is run by 2 wonderful hosts Christine and Marc - they really love and respect their place and their guests. Also, don't miss out to order amazing dinner that is cooked by Marc - that was an outstanding experience for us, one of the best meals we had during our Normandie trip.

Beautiful chateau, location and bird song! The hosts Christine and Marc were exceptional, they put a table in the garden for eating in the evening. They prepared breakfast when we were leaving early. The peches jam is delicious and brought some home. It was lovely having it in the dining room mixing with the other guests. The chateau is outstanding and close to town and ideal for exploring Mont St Michel, etc. We slept so well and really relaxed. Definitely returning to stay again.

Not having a longer stay! Nothing to dislike. It even kept us cool when the temperature reached 37°

It is indeed a paradise on earth. We really enjoyed our stay. The hosts were amazingly friendly and helpful. Apparently the dinner they offer is amazing - as a recommendation from other clients. We will come back.

The couple running the logis was amazing, and so were the meals they cooked for us, the other guests that accompanied us, and last but not least the 12th century castle they were receiving us in.

Amazing owners, felt like at home. Was very carrying attitude to our little daughter. Unique experience spending time at Castle. They did huge work on renovating it. Purely amazing experience and great location.
