Unique lodge in reserve type setting with Zebras and other wildlife roaming around the property

Absolutely everything was 100% from check in to check out. I can't fault Zebra Lodge on anything.
The location, rooms, facilities and food was consistently top class. Friendly and very efficient.

Die Anlage ist wunderschön gelegen mit tollen Ausblick. Speziell sind natürlich die Zebras, welche sich immer mal wieder auf Veranda und Co. zeigen. Sehr grosszügige und geschmackvoll eingerichtete Zimmer. Familiäres Ambiente - besonders auch beim (guten) Abendessen / Frühstück.
Unser Zimmer war leider nicht so sauber wie wir es gerne gehabt hätten. Ausserdem hat uns etwas Mühe bereitet, dass man die Fenster nicht gut abdunkeln kann und es dann insbesondere im Sommer unglaublich früh hell wird.

Zebras vor der Türe sind sensationell. Tolle Betten und sauber.
Man fühlt sich auf Anhieb sehr wohl.
Die Gastgeberin ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Abendessen sensationell

Wir haben im Tent geschlafen - das war abenteuerlich und gleichzeitig total komfortabel, da es sich fast wie ein ganz normales Zimmer anfühlt. Total gemütlich!
Das Dinner in der Lodge war sehr romantisch und der Kaminbereich an einem nebligen/ regnerischen Tag total gemütlich.
Und dass die Zebras zum
kaffee auf die Terrasse kommen ist natürlich ein Highlight!
sehr nettes Personal und eine Ownerin, die bei den Mahlzeiten persönlich zum Tisch kommt und Tipps gibt etc. - wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

We liked there were zebras on the property.
The staff were stiff, a rather awkward trying to converse, it didn’t feel warm or welcoming. We did laundry and item wasn’t washed but still charged for it, even though they said it wouldn’t have been I could see as I was paying and it wasn’t even checked properly when questioned. No wifi at all in the rooms which was very shocking, considering there’s nothing to do on property it would’ve been good to atleast have WiFi.

Tolle Unterkunft, haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
Das Abendessen für 22€ pP ist verhältnismäßig teuer für das was man bekommt. Wir haben einen Abend dort gegessen.

Alles, ein sehr schönes privat geführtes Hotel. Die Eigentümerin gibt sich sehr viel Mühe und lässt einen so fühlen als ob man zu Hause ist.

Location
False marketing, rooms advertised to have a spa bath when there’s none. Swimming pool advertised but it had no water and no where was this disclosed. Dinner was 2 course with literally no options on the menu, just steak and apple crumble however it was said to be a a 3 course. The whole experience ruined as it was planned with detail. Oh and the cost containing measures are felt by the guests, you have to request even a shower cap and for a 4 star place it’s disappointing to say the least.

We have had a lovely stay at Jbay Zebra Lodge. Breakfast was very good. Part served at the table and the other part a la carte. We have stayed in a luxury tent that was well equiped with outstanding views. Staff was very helpfull.

We loved the secluded area and serene surroundings!
I would like to have had more options for dinner/lunch - IE small ala Carte menu for lighter options. A 3 course meal a bit much for every night.
Florbela and her team however has gone out of their way to give us takeaway Breakfasts and keep our stomachs full!

I really liked the staff members and the room.
We were not told about the pool not being available due to maintenance and when I asked the owner (I think) Floberla she was rude about it. Her tone was condescending amd I was it ruined our stay. And the food was not nice at all

- no Wi-Fi access in the lodge, if you need wifi for work you have to ask for a router to be placed into your lodge
