Laya is beautiful! the rooms are the best we probably stayed in. Big shower snd OMG the sound of the ocean is amazing! sends you straight to sleep. we had no issues with the power cut - AC and WIFI on the times we were there and not on safari . didn’t get to use the spa but was very tempted as it looked great. excellent location on the beach- we didn’t go for a walk as we ran out of time but we used the infinity pool before we left after our safari and it was empty! we had the place to ourselves. the food was very tasty too

Very sad to see the place empty- they must advertise themselves better as it’s a gorgeous setting. The staff looked bored and clearly not doing much because of the lack of guests! On arrival, the staff looked bewildered like they had no idea who we were - we don’t expect much but they were slow to collect our bags from the car we arrived in snd we had to ask them to do it which is pretty unheard of. we also tried to organsie a safari prior to arriving via email and they didn’t reply for a few days and didn’t answer our questions. Also the dinner and lunch service was painfully slow considering the place is empty…. don’t get me wrong the place is still worth staying in and when the views great we don’t mind waiting but certain things could be improved on the service side.

location is isolated but situated beside the sea.Good access to the national park. Wild life including elephants have free access to the complex.

Great location beautiful surroundings Staff are amazing , especially Maduranga treated us amazing he works so hard and couldn’t do enough for us made out stay even better thank you

The staff were amazing, pool and grounds were beautiful with a bonus visit by an elephant on the grounds. The room was beautiful.

Food was very expensive with no nearby options.

Stayed at the Jungle Retreat rooms. We could see the wild elephants passing by our room.

Jungle retreat rooms has no view of the ocean. This we don’t know until check-in.
