The bathroom was discusting. I have attached photos. The bathroom was full of mould, smelt, and was very dirty. The carpet was dirty and stained and hadn't been vaccumed. The beds were made but weren't fresh, the room smelt musty. There was no check in admin staff as they were at a different motel.

The motel is in a great location. Lots of room to park. The rooms themselves are very roomy and the main bed was very comfortable. The toilet itself was clean which is plus to us. Water pressure in the shower was great.
The room was definitely not clean. The bed spread had a mark on it, the filters in the air conditioner were so dirty that they weren't working properly. The bathroom had visible dirt on the floor and marks around the sink. The TV wasn't on its stand properly so was a hazard as it could have easily have fallen. Its also 2024 smart TV's are cheap as chips no reason this motel shouldn't have one. There was no staff around at arrival at 6pm or the next morning. No visitor information for the town and there are plenty of things to see in Longreach. The bible was torn and just generally disgusting. These rooms are just so dated definitely won't stay again unless they get a revamp.

The linen and towels were clean and the hot water plentiful.
There is little doubt that 40 years ago this facility would have been a wonderful experience. Now, it is just an overpriced budget motel with very few amenities.

The location was good, we didn't have the breakfast. The room was spacious with big king size bed.
The drain in the bathroom smelt like sewage, the toilet bowl wasn't white, the sliding door was very difficult to operate and had to be lifted to move it. We were in unit 20. Very few facilities, no hair drier, plates for 4 people but only 3 cups and forks.

Pet friendly yet clean with comfortable beds and hot shower. Plenty of grassed area for the pets to walk about. Microwave and utensils were very handy. Pool looked great - a bit too chilly to try this visit.

Very expensive - but that applied to the whole area as there appeared to be a couple of acitivities in the area. Wanted to stay 2 nights but could not afford it.

The unit was nothing flash however it was clean, beds were comfortable exactly what we were after for an overnight stay whilst travelling.

Room was comfortable and functional. Inside looked fresh. The only pet friendly hotel in Longreach.
The huge spiders outside front and back made for a sleepless night for my wife. The main motel was next door and we felt like an overflow. No facilities - had to go to town.

The young couple staffing the Jumbuck were excellent. They were so friendly and helpful, they made my stay enjoyable.
They are the Jumbuck's best asset.
Some of the place is not being used, maybe being refurbished.
The reception is at the motel next door.

Convenient location
The room was rundown and in desperate need of refurb, and it was not as clean as it should have been. There was a huge gap under and around the door which let a hot draft through, and lots of bugs in. We stayed 2 weeks prior and we're happy with that room but this time around it was well below average.
And there was only one other room being used that we could see and they were right next to us, why wouldn't you give us space between so we didn't disturb each other?

travelling with pets is hard and having a pet friendly accommodation is a big tick for us. stunning pools and went for a walk down to the museum

The receptionist was not there the hotel was unattended the entire visit.

location to everything very good. The room was lovely and big with comfortable beds. Contact to reception was difficult by phone but excellent in person.

Our first couple of days things weren't done in the room but once they weren't so busy everything was excellent.

The room was comfortable and clean. Location is great as it is close to main attractions in Longreach, but is a fraction out of the main down.
Staff on arrival could have been a fraction friendlier. A 4pm check in time seems to me to be a little on the late side, most hotels/motels do 2pm. Pricing could possibly be a little cheaper at Jumbuck, the venue is obviously operated by the same people as the nearby Albert Park Motel, and the Albert Park appears more aesthetically pleasing, and reception facilities are located there, yet they charged the same prices for both venues on this occasion.

for a rainy stop as saved us camping in the swag
hubby wasn’t keen on the light outside but we just had to shut the curtains

Room was outdated and felt filthy. Biscuits were half eaten by mice, stain chair in the corner, carpets the same. Fridge rattled loudly. Bed cover didn't fit the bed. All for $284/night.
